Abstract

Management of implementing the Arabic language learning program at the Al-Muhibbin Islamic Boarding School is a planned process. Because considering the current situation where Arabic has become a necessity for today's society in order to be able to keep up with changing times which are increasingly global and not to be left behind by other countries. Therefore, Arabic language learning programs are very important. This research discusses the management of implementing the Arabic language learning program at the Al-Muhibbin Islamic Boarding School. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, and data collection is carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of the Arabic language learning program at the Al-Muhibbin Islamic Boarding School is going well. There are two Arabic language learning programs at this Islamic boarding school, namely main activities and additional activities. The main activity in this program is classroom learning. This activity goes through three stages, namely introduction, core activities, and closing activities. Activities are held at 14.00-16.00 and 20.00-22.00. Meanwhile, additional activities are divided into daily activities, namely additional mufrodat and muhadasah al-yaumiyah. The weekly activity is muhadhoroh. The annual activities are FASTABIN and rihlah lughoh. Overall, the management of the implementation of the Arabic language learning program at the Al-Muhibbin Islamic Boarding School reflects a strong commitment to providing useful experiences for the students to improve their Arabic language skills and understanding of religion as evidenced by their enthusiasm when participating in this program, their communication practices using Arabic.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine gender relationships in Arabic language learning in social-educational studies. The method used in this research employed a library approach with the data source being actual and factual literacy, and Mels and Heberman data analysis was utilized using interactive techniques. The results of this research showed that gender was not a true social construct or form, was not innate from birth, and could not also be said to be God's nature or provision because gender was related to the process of believing how men and women should act and behave in accordance with structured values, social and cultural provisions in the place where they were located. Learning Arabic could not be separated from linguistics and was included in the subcategory of grammar, especially in understanding the placement of mudzakkar and muannast. In the structure of the Arabic language, masculinity was the fundamental that was subjected, while femininity was the branch that had no ability as a subject

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the management of the Center of Excellence (CoE) program initiated by the Arabic Language Education Study Program of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang in an effort to improve the skills of Arabic translators. Data collection techniques are interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques between data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study found that: first, at the planning stage, the Study Program collaborated with several industrial partners (DUDI) through an MoU, which then collaborated in the preparation of the curriculum, and pre-internship activities. Second, the implementation stage is divided into two main activities, namely translation in written and oral form. Third, the evaluation / assessment stage consists of two main components, namely the value given by the institution where the internship is and the value of the internship supervisor. Through this program, the internship report is used as the equivalent of the thesis.

Abstract

This research is motivated by Arabic language learning on mufrodat material with the teaching process in class still using conventional methods, lecture methods, and sometimes assisted with powepoint media. However, the media is considered less diverse and innovative so that it still does not attract the attention of students. So that students still have difficulty in learning this mufrodat, because it feels monotonous. Therefore, researchers try to implement Genially web-based learning media on Arabic mufrodat material which has different characteristics from other media because of its interesting gamification features and can give a pleasant impression during the learning process. The purpose of this study is to see the effectiveness and comparison of student learning outcomes before and after the application of genially web-based learning media on mufordat material. This research uses quantitative research with experimental methods with Independent Sample T-Test data analysis, the samples taken in this study were class VIII A as an experimental class with a total of 24 students and class VIII B as a control class with a total of 21 students. The results of this study indicate that the value of a Sig. (2-tailed) 0.003 is smaller than 0.05, which means that there is an influence and significant average difference between learning outcomes with the application of Genially web learning media and those that do not use Genially web application at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan.

Abstract

Dhamir or in Indonesian is known as pronouns. In Arabic, dhamir itself is an isim ma'rifah which is used to represent the mention of something, someone, or a group. This study aims to describe two main aspects, namely how santri use the word antum in daily interactions, and the relationship between the use of the word antum and the attitude of language politeness. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research data were obtained through participant observation and unstructured interview methods, the population of the object of this research is all active students in the Miftahul Qulub Polagan Galis Pamekasan Islamic boarding school, and 30 samples were taken. The informants of this research were 25 active students from the Miftahul Qulub Polagan Galis Pamekasan Islamic boarding school and there were 5 informants who had the status of being active teachers and administrators at the Miftahul Qulub Polagan Galis Pamekasan Islamic boarding school. Data processing was carried out by researchers using triangulation in the form of triangulation of methods, and triangulation of data sources. The results showed that First, this word is used as a pronoun to refer to the second male person in the plural. In the context of nahwu which is the grammatical rule of Arabic. Second, the word antum is used as a word of greeting to older individuals and individuals who are respected and respected. Third, the use of the word antum by santri is not only a functional communication tool, but also reflects the values of politeness in their culture.  this research provides an in-depth understanding of how the word antum not only functions as a communication tool, but also as an expression of politeness values in the daily interactions of the santri.

Abstract

Learning evaluation is one part of the learning process. Through evaluation, a teacher can find out students' abilities and understanding of the material they have studied. Evaluation instruments require quality tests or questions in terms of validity, reliability, level of difficulty, distinguishing power and effectiveness of distractors. Question items prepared by a teacher to test students' abilities must be recommended to be tested for suitability based on these aspects so that the instruments that have been prepared can be used according to their function. This research was conducted using a descriptive methodology and quantitative research form. The research instrument used was 15 grade 5 PAS Arabic multiple choice questions and the research subjects were 5th grade students at SDIT Al Inayah for the 2023-2024 academic year who were tested by 37 participants. The results of the analysis of the questions in this study in the validity aspect were still not good because only 3 questions (20%) were valid. Then, in terms of the level of difficulty, it is sufficient but not yet balanced because no difficult questions were found. From the aspect of discriminating power, the questions studied were quite good and produced a discriminating power of each question which was 40% and good, reaching 33%. The effectiveness of the distractors in this study was also sufficient because 25% of the distractors were found to be functional, and 25% were rejected. Thus, from the results of this analysis, a teacher can improve and develop question items that are still not good in some of these aspects.

Abstract

The Arabic textbook MI Grade 1 KSKK is a book published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in the context of implementing KMA Number 183 of 2019 concerning the PAI Curriculum and Arabic Language in Madrasas. This article presents the results of the analysis of MI Class 1 KSKK Arabic textbooks using CEFR standards. CEFR stands for Common European Framework of Reference established by the Council of Europe in 2001 as a response to the importance of learning foreign languages in order to use them in everyday transactions, be it social, interaction and information transfer. The purpose of this article is to find out the description of the MI Class I Arabic textbook, then at what level is this book in the CEFR standard and how are the CEFR principles contained in it. In its writing, this article uses a literature research method (literature review) with a content analysis approach, where researchers analyze all the material in this MI Class 1 Arabic textbook. The results showed that the Arabic textbooks of MI grade 1 KSKK were categorized in levels A1 and A2 based on CEFR standards. In addition, this book has also fulfilled CEFR principle 6, including language activities, language processes, text, domain, language learning strategies, and language tasks.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan problematika siswa non pesantren di sekolah formal dalam membaca teks-teks bahasa Arab dan langkah efektifnya dalam pembelajaran maharah qira’ah. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa non pesantren kelas VIII di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al Hidayah Batu pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi partisipatif pasif untuk mengetahui problematika siswa non pesantren dalam membaca teks Arab yang ada di buku bahan ajar pada saat pembelajaran maharah qira’ah, teknik wawancara kepada 2 guru dan 4 siswa non pesantren kelas VIII untuk mendapatkan pandangan terkait problematika yang dialami siswa secara individu saat membaca teks Arab, dan dokumentasi terkait rencana pembelajaran dan hasil evaluasi guru dalam mengatasi permasalahan pada pembelajaran maharah qira’ah. Teori milles dan Huberman: kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data digunakan untuk menganalisis data yang diperoleh. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) terdapat 2 problematika yang dialami siswa non pesantren kelas VIII MTs Al Hidayah Batu ketika membaca teks qira’ah yaitu a. Problematika linguistik, di antaranya problematika mufradat, problematika kesesuaian makna dan idiom. b. Problematika non linguistik, di antaranya lingkungan belajar yang kurang mendukung, dan Motivasi belajar yang kurang. 2) langkah efektif dalam mengatasi problematika tersebut yaitu guru melakukan pembelajaran terbimbing dan terarah melalui pendekatan saintifik yaitu, mengamati, menanya, menalar, mencoba, dan mengkomunikasikan.

Abstract

The existence of the components of dictionary preparation that have been proposed by experts in the field can be used as a benchmark in assessing the ideal dictionary. This research aims to analyze the existence of the components in the Santri Saluni Dictionary by using Dr. Ali Al-Qasimy's perspective. The method used in this research is library research with descriptive characteristics. The results of the study found that the Santri Saluni Dictionary meets 16 of the 25 components proposed by Dr. Ali Al-Qasimy. These components are: a.) the initial part: the purpose of preparing the dictionary, the sources used, the background of the preparation, instructions for using the dictionary, grammar guidelines, the amount of material in the dictionary, the meaning of symbols, and also other information in the form of print and publisher info, and table of contents, b.) the main part: the font used, the column model, phonetic information, morphological information, semantic information, and examples of word usage, c.) the final part: table components, bibliography and brief information about the dictionary on the back cover.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the semiotic meaning of the word "courage" in four classical Arabic Qaṣīdahs: Qaṣīdah al-Burdah, Qaṣīdah al-Niffarīyah, Qaṣīdah al-Mutanabbī, and Qaṣīdah al-Ahtyar. This study uses Roland Barthes' semiotic theory to identify the signifiers, signs, and connotative meanings of the word "courage" in these poems. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach and a content analysis research design. The data collection techniques used are literature reviews. Primary data is in the Qaṣīdah al-Burdah, Qaṣīdah al-Niffarīyah, Qaṣīdah al-Mutanabbī, and Qaṣīdah al-Ahtyar. Secondary data comes from readings related to the study. The data obtained is reduced, displayed, and verified. The findings show that the semiotic analysis of the word "courage" in the four Qaṣīdahs reveals a testament to the enduring value of courage in guiding Muslims to face challenges and uphold their beliefs in a changing world. The findings of this study offer valuable insights into the rich and nuanced understanding of courage in Islamic culture. These insights can contribute to a deeper appreciation of the Islamic ethical framework and its relevance in contemporary society. In addition, the methodology of this study demonstrates the applicability of semiotic analysis in unearthing deeper meanings embedded in literary and cultural texts.
