Abstract

This study aims to gain a deeper understanding of the implementation of academic supervision using the TIRTA coaching model in improving teacher professionalism at UPT SMP Negeri 29 Gresik and UPT SMP Negeri 33 Gresik. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, which focuses on collecting data obtained through observation, interviews, and document analysis. This study was conducted in January 2025, where teachers had planned their annual performance in the GTK (Portal Merdeka Mengajar) room. School supervisors and subject teachers acted as resource persons in this study. The results of the study indicate that academic supervision using the TIRTA model improves teachers' abilities in planning, implementing, and evaluating learning. The supervision process consists of three main stages, namely pre-observation, observation, and post-observation, each of which makes a significant contribution to improving the quality of learning. During the supervision process, school supervisors use a coaching approach that builds trust, provides constructive feedback, and supports teacher professional development. This study reveals several challenges in implementing supervision, such as the lack of experience of school principals in using the supervision model and teacher awareness of the importance of academic supervision. In conclusion, this study shows that the implementation of academic supervision of the TIRTA flow can bring positive changes in the quality of learning in schools, as well as improve working relationships between principals, supervisors, and teachers.  Keywords: Academic Supervision, Coaching, Teacher Professionalism, Tirta Flow

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a clear picture of the problems studied in this case, which is the purpose of this study, namely to determine the results of the evaluation of the Context, Input, Process and Product of the Cadet Training Program at SMA Progresif Bumi Shalawat. Evaluation research refers to "systematic investigations to determine the success of a particular program" (Barker, 2003, p. 149) This study uses a literature study method with a qualitative approach to explore the Stufflebeam model evaluation consisting of four dimensions, namely: context, input, process, and product, so that the evaluation model is named CIPP. The four words mentioned in the abbreviation CIPP are the targets of the evaluation, namely the components and processes of a program activity. Data were collected from various relevant national and international journals in the 2020-2024 period. The results of the study indicate that the CIPP Model provides a comprehensive framework for evaluating the Cadet Training Program at SMA Progresif Bumi Shalawat. By analyzing the context, input, process, and product, this evaluation can help improve the quality of the program and provide greater benefits to students. Through systematic evaluation, programs can be adjusted to the needs of students and the community, so as to achieve the expected educational goals.  Keywords: Evaluation Literature Study. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of resources and disposition of implementers on the implementation of the Child-Friendly School (SRA) policy in Surabaya. The method used is library research by analyzing various literature such as scientific journals, government regulations, and reports from related agencies. Data were collected through searching for relevant written documents in the last ten years and analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the SRA policy still faces various challenges, especially related to the limited number of trained educators, budget, and supporting facilities. In addition, the understanding, commitment, and motivation of policy implementers are also not optimal. Schools with better resources and disposition of implementers have proven to be more successful in implementing the SRA policy. This study recommends increasing the budget, intensive training, strengthening policy socialization, and support from local governments and educational organizations as strategic steps in supporting the effectiveness of the implementation of the Child-Friendly School policy.  Keywords: Resources, Disposition of Implementers, Literature Study, Policy Implementation

Abstract

This research aims to explore School-Based Management (SBM) as a strategy to enhance the quality of education. Employing a qualitative approach with a multi-site case study method, this study gathered data through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis across several schools implementing SBM. Thematic analysis was utilized to identify patterns and themes emerging from the data. The research findings indicate that SBM grants greater autonomy to schools in managing resources and making decisions, which positively impacts educational quality. However, the implementation of SBM faces challenges such as a lack of understanding and preparedness among educators, as well as resource limitations. Active participation from all stakeholders and strong school leadership are key factors for the success of SBM. This study concludes that integrating SBM with other approaches like school autonomy, active participation, and transformational leadership is necessary to achieve optimal educational quality.  Keywords: School Based Management (SBM), Educational Quality, School Autonomy, School Participation, School Leadership

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of school culture in enhancing 4C competencies (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication, Collaboration) among students in the era of globalization. Using a qualitative approach and a case study method, this research observes and analyzes school cultures in several institutions that implement a competency-based 4C approach. The findings indicate that a positive school culture, supported by visionary leadership, clear norms, and a conducive learning environment, can develop students who are not only intellectually capable but also possess strong character, discipline, and effective collaboration skills. This study also highlights the importance of teacher, parent, and community involvement in fostering a school culture that supports the development of 4C competencies. In this context, school culture is seen as a fundamental foundation in shaping an ideal learning environment where students feel safe, motivated, and willing to take risks to develop their potential. The study finds that schools with a strong culture can create spaces where critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration are not only taught but also practiced in everyday life. Through in-depth observations, interviews, and document analysis, this research identifies key elements of an effective school culture, including the school's vision and mission, values and beliefs, norms and rules, rituals and traditions, communication patterns, physical environment, community relationships, and leadership.  Keywords : School Culture, 4C Competencies, Students

Abstract

This study is a literature review that aims to evaluate the entrepreneurship extracurricular program at the high school level using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach that follows the PRISMA guidelines. This method is used to identify, evaluate, and synthesize various relevant studies from reputable scientific sources through databases such as Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar. The evaluation was conducted using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model to provide a comprehensive picture of the program's implementation. The results of the study indicate that in the context component, the entrepreneurship program aims to instill entrepreneurial character from an early age and reduce unemployment rates. In the input component, the main obstacle lies in the limited facilities and infrastructure even though the supervising teachers have met the qualifications. The process component shows that the implementation of activities is going according to plan, but increasing student self-confidence still needs to be strengthened. Meanwhile, in the product component, the program has a positive impact on the development of students' entrepreneurial skills, but its effectiveness is greatly influenced by the quality of implementation in the three previous components. These findings are expected to be the basis for developing a more effective and sustainable entrepreneurship program in schools.  Keywords: Systematic Literature Review, Entrepreneurship Extracurricular, PRISMA
