Abstract

The conditions found in the field of learning, namely the packaging of learning aids for understanding and creative skills, have not been handled systematically. Based on this, this study aims to analyze the differences between project-based learning models and conventional learning. The study was conducted using a quantitative method involving evaluations and student interviews. The population in this study was 8th-semester students in the Engineering Technology Study Program. The study sample amounted to 40 people. The methods used in data collection were observation, interviews, and tests. Data collection instruments used observation sheets and test questions. Data processing used the statistical data processing application of the MANOVA test. The study results showed differences in cooperation and learning outcomes between students who used the project-based learning method and those who used the conventional learning system. The project-based learning method has fostered better creativity, cooperation and learning outcomes. It was concluded that the project-based learning model can improve creativity, cooperation and student learning outcomes. This study implies that applying the project-based learning model can foster creativity and cooperation between students so that it can be used in learning.

Abstract

The lack of contemporary technology-based teaching materials and also the integration of environmental literacy in IPAS subjects in elementary schools results in low learning outcomes of IPAS elementary school students and also low awareness of protecting the surrounding environment. This research aims to develop an Augmented Reality (AR) technology-based IPAS learning module with ecoliteracy content in order to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools. This module is designed to improve students' understanding of complex scientific concepts and improve students' environmental literacy skills. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The developed module was tested by media experts and material experts. The results of the media expert test showed an average score of 3.63 from the display aspect and 3.73 from the usage aspect, which was included in the very good criteria. The material expert assessment gave a score of 3.49 from the content aspect and 3.53 from the learning aspect. In addition, the effectiveness of this module was tested using ecoliteracy questions. The results of gain testing showed a significant increase in students' ecoliteracy. Thus, the results of this study indicate that the IPAS learning module based on augmented reality technology with ecoliteracy content can improve the quality of interactive and contextual learning in elementary schools, in accordance with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum. This module not only facilitates understanding of complex IPAS concepts through attractive visualizations but also fosters students' ecological literacy from an early age.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low reading comprehension of English among grade IV elementary school students and the need for interactive teaching materials that not only improve academic ability, but also students' character. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of interactive teaching materials based on character education to improve students' reading comprehension. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the research subject of grade IV elementary school students. The instruments used include observation sheets, expert assessments of the content and structure of teaching materials, and questionnaires to get feedback from teachers and students. Data was collected through classroom observations, expert assessments, and interviews. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis to determine the effectiveness of teaching materials. The results of the study show that interactive teaching materials, consisting of digital games, stories, and quizzes, can significantly improve students' reading comprehension and increase their learning engagement. In addition, the integration of character education in this teaching material promotes positive attitudes and behaviors in students. The implication of this study is that character education-based interactive teaching materials are effective in improving reading skills, and need to be applied to other subjects with continuous teacher training for optimal results.

Abstract

Lately, children's character has been one of the many challenges faced by education today, both internal and external. Students are not used to living a disciplined life due to the lazy character attitude of a few students. This study aims to create a Pancasila module based on sound and strong character (BAKU) to strengthen the Pancasila student profile of elementary school students. The type of research is development research with the ADDIE model. Data collection method with a questionnaire. The research subjects consisted of experts, teachers and students. The data analysis method used quantitative and qualitative analysis. The study results showed that material and language experts obtained 89% in the very valid category. Media experts obtained 90% in the very valid category. The Pancasila module BAKU character of students is in the high category of 2.26%, in the medium category as much as 97.74. In addition, no students were found who were included in the very low criteria. The conclusion of the study shows that the Pancasila module based on BAKU character is feasible to use, and there has been an increase in students' BAKU character since the implementation of the module. This research implies that the Pancasila module based on good and strong character (BAKU) in strengthening the Pancasila student profile of elementary school students that was developed is suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

Science learning is one of the cognitive aspects of children's stimulation in early childhood education. However, science learning practices are rarely carried out in schools due to various factors, including the priority of reading, writing, and arithmetic learning, which is more emphasized so that teachers are less motivated to carry out science activities. Based on this, this study aims to develop an educational tourism model based on local wisdom as a source of children's science learning. This study uses research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The subjects in this study were two experts (material experts and media experts). The trial subjects were 12 students aged 5-6 years. The methods used to collect data were interviews, open questionnaires, and observations. The instruments used to collect data were questionnaires. The techniques used to analyze data were qualitative descriptive analysis, quantitative analysis, and inferential statistics. The study's results, namely testing by two experts, concluded that the educational tourism model was included in the feasible category. Based on the hypothesis test results, it was found that the educational tourism learning model influenced the science abilities of children aged 5-6 years. It was concluded that the educational tourism model based on local wisdom can improve the science abilities of children aged 5-6 years. The implication of this research is that the educational tourism model based on local wisdom can be used as a source of science learning for children.

Abstract

In the world of education, the curriculum has an important role in determining the direction and quality of learning experienced by students. The implementation of an independent learning curriculum designed to increase student involvement and responsibility in the learning process. This research is ex-post facto research with a quantitative type of research. This research aims to determine the description of the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum in the Fashion Department and the Learning Motivation of Students in the Fashion Department. This type of research is ex-po facto. The population in this study were class X and XI students majoring in fashion design. The sampling technique uses a population sample method where if the population is less than 100 then the entire population becomes the sample, namely a sample size of 50 students. The data collection techniques used are observation, documentation and questionnaires. The analysis techniques used are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential analysis. The results of the research show a picture of the implementation of the independent learning curriculum majoring in fashion design with a percentage of 34% or 17 students who produced an interval of 40-43 which was categorized as moderate; and Description of the learning motivation of students majoring in fashion design with a percentage of 32% or 16 students who produced the highest interval of 43-46 which was in the high category. If the implementation of an independent learning curriculum is proven to be effective in increasing motivation, the implication for the world of education is that there will be a push to implement a more flexible and adaptive approach in various practice-oriented classes.

Abstract

Students' difficulties in visualizing learning material often cannot be explained only through text or static images. Apart from that, the lack of student involvement in traditional learning and changes in the demands of learning needs in the digital era, make the development of interactive infographic media important in the current digital context. This research aims to highlight the importance of needs analysis in determining suitable learning media, especially appropriate infographic media, to support learning in elementary schools. This research uses quantitative descriptive methods. The Guttman scale questionnaire is used to collect data on the needs of students, teachers, learning media, and learning objectives. The subjects involved in this research were students. The aspects measured include pedagogical, technical, cognitive, aesthetic, socio-cultural and evaluative aspects, which are then analyzed from questionnaire data to determine the most appropriate learning media. The results of the analysis show that the highest criteria are the pedagogical aspect, followed by the technical aspect, then the cognitive aspect, the aesthetic aspect, the socio-cultural aspect, and finally the evaluative aspect. This concludes the need to consider interactive infographic media that can improve the quality of learning. Implications of this research make significant contributions to the development of technology-based education at the elementary level.
