Improper handling and disposal of waste can result in water and air pollution, which has the potential to cause disease. This problem is further exacerbated by the increase in the amount of waste which is not commensurate with waste management capacity. Therefore, this research aims to provide appropriate recommendations for handling waste in Sangkapura District. One of the proposed solutions is to process organic waste into alternative energy sources using selected technology. It is hoped that this approach can reduce the volume of waste and provide alternative fuel for industrial activities. The quality of the product produced is also influenced by the selection of production units, which in this research is determined using the P-graph and Process Network Synthesis (PNS) tools. The PNS optimization model simulation results show that the most optimal operational process scenario is scenario 2, which involves initial sorting or PS_12, Biodigester_2, Sorting, and RDF or PRDF Production.

Teachers are a very important element and cannot be ignored just like that in the teaching and learning process, because teachers can determine the success or failure of a teaching and learning process. All teachers in any field including Mathematics need to have competencies to maximize teaching and learning activities. These standards and competencies are believed to be encouraged by each country to each teacher, considering how the role of teachers can implicitly impact the progress of each country. Developed countries that are known to have good quality in the field of Education Based on this, researchers wrote a comparative study related to the competence of mathematics teachers, especially elementary schools in Indonesia and in the UK. Researchers use the method of literature study. Both countries have many good competencies that need to be mastered. The form of quality assurance from the UK can be an example for the Indonesian state to prepare students in Indonesia to face the 21st century.

This study investigated the different perceptions of female and male students about the characteristics of good and effective EFL teachers—the subjects of this research from 3 classes of Grade 8 students in SMP Negeri 1 Banjar. A total of 97 students were assigned to fill out a self-ranked questionnaire and 20 students (10 male and 10 female) were randomly selected to take part in a Focus Group Discussion. The results revealed there are differences in the perceptions of female and male students about the characteristics of good and effective teachers. For good EFL teachers, male students show a preference for an English teacher who remembers students' names, while female students do not think that remembering students' names is important. Apart from differences in perception between female and male students, both female and male students perceive care about all students as the most important value of good EFL teachers. Similarly, there were some differences between female and male students’ perceptions about effective EFL teachers. Females more than males agreed that effective EFL teachers provide activities that can check student progress. At the same time, males agreed that the use of a language level appropriate to the student's abilities defines the characteristics of an effective EFL teacher.

Life in the nation and state requires constant discussion about the breadth of a scientific study of national insight in Indonesia. The principles of Pancasila serve as a link to foster national consciousness. With globalization, Indonesia's state ideology and Pancasila as the nation's way of life are losing their value and being replaced by foreign cultures. This article discusses how the benefits of social science learning to increase nationalistic insight in elementary school students. The focus of the research is the practical implementation of social science lessons in expanding the nationalistic insight of an elementary school student. The purpose of this research is to measure how well various educational approaches can improve students' understanding of progress. The research shows that teachers can implement nationalistic insights sourced from social science subjects through two approaches with Contextual Teaching Model (CTL) learning methods and also practical methods such as Indonesian history art performances, Indonesian history exhibitions and others. Effective learning can improve students' understanding of the development of Indonesian independence and strengthen students' nationalism.
