Abstract

This research is motivated by poor supervision of learning and lack of work motivation of the principal as one of the factors causing low teacher performance, thus causing a decline in the quality of education. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the effect of supervision of learning (X1) and work motivation of the principal (X2) on teacher performance (Y) of Vocational High School 2 Tahuna. This research was conducted at Vocational High School 2 Tahuna. This type of research uses a quantitative approach, using a descriptive study method, namely a method that is directed at solving problems by presenting or describing the results of the study as they are. The conclusions obtained from this study are: (1) Learning Supervision has a very large influence on Teacher Performance with a correlation index of 0.756. This shows that it is important for every teacher to understand learning supervision in teaching and learning activities at Vocational High School 2 Tahuna. (2) The work motivation of the principal has a positive influence on teaching and learning activities because in this study the correlation index of the principal's work motivation is 0.663. (3) Learning supervision and teacher work motivation have a very large influence on improving teacher performance at Vocational High School 2 Tahuna. This can be proven that through hypothesis testing it can be accepted. Through overall analysis and testing, the calculated F of 37.484 is obtained, which is greater than the F table of 3.30, which means that there is a significant influence between Learning Supervision and Principal's Work Motivation on Teacher Performance at Vocational High School 2 Tahuna, Sangihe Regency.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh komunikasi antar pribadi dosen dengan mahasiswa terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa di Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif Medan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif Medan, jurusan desain grafis semester II, IV, dan VI. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknis random, ( secara acak ) dengan jumlah 66 responden. Hasil penelitian didapat mayoritas responden menyatakan komunikasi antar pribadi Dosen dengan Mahasiswa dalam kategori baik sebesar 56,1 %, kategori cukup 34,8 %, sementara kategori kurang 9,1 %. Berdasarkan hasil uji kolerasi diketahui sig sebesar 0,000<0,005, yang berarti ada pengaruh yang signifikan antar komunikasi pribadi dosen dengan mahasiswa terhadap prestasi belajar Mahasiswa di Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif Medan.

Abstract

Recently, the use of AI-powered writing tools has become so popular among different academics participants globally. It promises to make the writing process smoother, improve learning, and give personalized feedback. Yet, alongside the benefits, the technology has provoked another possibility regarding its misuse and the overuse on academic integrity. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the possible uses/ benefits and missuses/ threat of the use of AI-powered writing tools (ChatGPT & Quillbot) from students’ point of view. This study applied a qualitative study by menas of phenomenological approach. The participants were 8 students from 4 universities who have used those applications for their academic writing projects. Semi-structured interviews related to ChatGPT and Quilbot emphasis were conducted for the collection of data. The collected data identified through the interviews were analyzed through thematic analysis. The study found that participants use AI-Powered tools as feedback provider, writing assistant and problem solver for the deadlock. Nonetheless, they also revealed that the use of this AI tools could lead them to dependency, plagiarism and reduction of their crititical thinking and writing skills.

Abstract

In line with technological advances, education, which is the main foundation in improving the quality of human resources, should also be able to adapt to technology. One of them is compiling digital-based teaching materials. This study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of interactive e-handouts based on the anyflip application on basic accounting material for class X phase E with elements of business processes in the field of accounting and institutional finance. This development research applies the 4-D research model such as the theory of Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel which includes: the definition stage (define), the design stage (design) the media development stage (develop), and the dissemination stage (dissaminate). The e-handout teaching materials are arranged in an interesting way and highlight important points to make it easier for students to understand the material. Teachers must also continue to innovate in compiling teaching materials to meet the different needs of students. The output of this study is an e-handout that can be accessed online anytime and anywhere so that it can help students to learn independently.

Abstract

Improving student learning outcomes is one of the main focuses in education, because students will be better prepared to face challenges in the world of work and further education and to continue learning and developing. In reality, in mathematics lessons there are still many students' learning outcomes that are low. This can be seen from the unsatisfactory learning outcomes of students after being given lessons. The solution to this problem is to implement a team games tournament model assisted by Quizzizz. The aim of this research is to describe the improvement in student learning outcomes by using the team games tournament model assisted by Quizzizz. This research is classroom action research carried out in 2 cycles.

Abstract

This study examines the ethical dimensions of science, with the aim of exploring how ethics play a role in scientific research and technological development. This study addresses several important issues, such as ethics in human and animal research, the impact of technology on society, and the social responsibility of scientists. In this context, we review various approaches to ethical philosophy, such as deontology, which emphasizes the moral obligation of scientists to act in accordance with ethical principles, and utilitarianism, which focuses more on outcomes that benefit society at large. Furthermore, this study underscores the significance of ethical oversight mechanisms, like ethics committees (Institutional Review Boards/IRBs), in guaranteeing that research adheres to moral standards and does not cause harm to subjects or society. We also discuss ethical dilemmas that arise in modern research and technology, such as genetic engineering, which raises questions about human genetic editing and potential risks to the ecosystem, and nuclear fusion research, which raises questions about the balance between the benefits of clean energy and potential risks to human and environmental safety. This study emphasizes that scientists, despite their focus on scientific objectivity, have a moral responsibility to consider the social impacts of their discoveries.

Abstract

Effective language learning requires the right approach in selecting vocabulary used in the teaching process. Selecting relevant and contextual vocabulary is the main key to optimizing students' understanding of learning materials. Students' understanding and language skills can significantly improve with the use of relevant vocabulary that relates to their daily lives and contextual vocabulary that is appropriate for the situation or topic under discussion. This study aims to explore how choosing the right vocabulary can optimize language learning at various levels of education. The results show that choosing vocabulary that is relevant to students' social and cultural experiences, as well as vocabulary that is appropriate to the learning context, can deepen students' understanding and improve their language skills. At the elementary, secondary, and tertiary levels, the relevance and contextuality of vocabulary affect the way students relate learning materials to their real lives, so that learning becomes more meaningful. Furthermore, this study highlights the difficulties in choosing suitable vocabulary and emphasizes the need for teachers to receive training in adapting learning materials that link vocabulary to wider social, cultural, and academic contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif media pembelajaran berupa Wordwall dan video pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan minat peserta didik kelas IV SD N 1 Sarirejo dalam belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk mengumpulkan informasi mengenai pengalaman siswa dan guru dalam menggunakan kedua media pembelajaran tersebut melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi kelas. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan hasil menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berupa Wordwall, yang menyediakan latihan interaktif seperti kuis. Disisi lain, penggunaan media video pembelajaran juga menampilkan visual yang menarik. Dari kedua media pembelajaran yang sudah diujikan pada penelitian ini, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berupa Wordwall lebih signifikan dalam menumbuhkan lingkungan belajar yang menyenangkan dan menarik, meskipun kedua media tersebut berhasil meningkatkan minat belajar. Ketika menggunakan media pembelajaran Wordwall daripada media video pembelajaran, peserta didik merasa lebih terlibat dan berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan belajar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran yang inovatif dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, serta memberikan rekomendasi bagi pendidik dan calon pendidik untuk memanfaatkan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran untuk mencapai hasil yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is how is the description of learning motivation, learning activity, learning outcomes of Elementary School Cluster III, Tanete Riattang District, Bone Regency? and is there a significant relationship between learning motivation and learning activity with learning outcomes of Elementary School Cluster III, Tanete Riattang District, Bone Regency? This study is a correlation study that aims to determine the description of learning motivation, learning activity, learning outcomes and the relationship between learning motivation and learning activity with learning outcomes of Elementary School Cluster III, Tanete Riattang District, Bone Regency. The research approach is a quantitative approach. Research data were obtained through questionnaires and documentation. The population in the study were all Grade VI students at Elementary School Cluster III, Tanete Riattang District, Bone Regency, totaling 83 students. The sample in the study amounted to 83 students. The data analysis technique was descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results obtained in this study are a description of learning motivation showing a very high category and learning activity showing a very high category in the questionnaire results obtained and learning motivation and learning activity have a significant relationship to student learning outcomes, especially in Class VI of Elementary School Gugus III, Tanete Riattang District, Bone Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengaruh latihan plyometric dan kekuatan otot lengan terhadap hasil shooting three point siswa ekstrakurikuler bola basket SMP Negeri 28 Bandar Lampung. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan two groups pretest-posttest design. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa ekstrakurikuler bola basket di SMP Negeri 28 Bandar Lampung yang berjumlah 30 orang yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok. Penelitian ini menggunakan ordinal pairing yaitu kelompok 1 perlakuan latihan plyometric dan kelompok 2 latihan kekuatan otot lengan. Instrumen dalam shooting three point dengan tes tembakan tiga sudut di antaranya 0°, 45°, dan 90°. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji prasyarat normalitas dan uji homogenitas, sedangkan uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis uji-t. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan maka dapat diambil suatu kesimpulan bahwa: 1) Ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari latihan plyometric terhadap peningkatan hasil shooting three point, dengan nilai thitung = 5,123 > ttabel = 2,145. 2) Ada pengaruh signifikan dari latihan kekuatan otot lengan terhadap peningkatan hasil shooting three point, dengan nilai thitung = 10,458 > ttabel = 2,145. 3) Tidak ada perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan dari latihan plyometric dan latihan kekuatan otot lengan terhadap peningkatan hasil shooting three point, dengan nilai thitung = 0,674 < ttabel = 2,048.
