Today, social media has a significant influence on the mindsets of women. Particularly for those who are presently observing the Iddah period, unlimited use of social media can cause and contravene Shari'a regulations. In Islamic law, there is a concept known as iddah, which seeks to purify the womb and prevent actions that may cause injury (damage). As those reasons, this research aimed to analyze the law regarding the use of social media by iddah-observant women. To achieve this aim, the researcher employed normative research methodologies to evaluate library literature. Relevant texts and study results are used as data for this study. The data analysis was conducted qualitatively. The research findings indicate that the legal use of social media by women can be conducted in conformance with restrictions that have no negative effect on family continuity and harmony. Alternatively, if its use results in injury, its use becomes haram.

Abstract

This research is based on the gap between the theory of religious conflict and the reality of the religious transition paradigm currently. Media issues have warmed up again lately with some news about the policy of disbanding radical mass organizations. After the dissolution of Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI), the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) stumbled on administrative problems. After it was disbanded, the all members and cadres of the organizations chose to change their religious paradigm. The transition process is the main focus of this research. Based on the general framework of the shifting paradigm theory, the sub-focus consists of how to anomaly, the Critique process untill form a new paradigm of ex- Khilafah ideologues. In order to further limit the study, the site raised is the former ideologue Khilafah of Tapal Kuda. All problems are studied qualitatively using a phenomenological approach. The important findings of this study can be divided into three parts. First, the anomaly of the ex- Khilafah ideologue. There are three forms of anomaly, namely socio-cultural anomaly, siyasa anomaly and tradition anomaly. Second, the Critique process of ex- Khilafah ideologues. Its scope are socio-cultural Critique and siyasa Critique. Third, his new paradigm. There are two patterns of paradigm for the former ideology of the Khilafah, namely there are those who continue to fight for the Khilafah and there are those who choose to continue their ideological struggle. The first group carried out the process of marhala tsaqif and taf'ul. This last group bases its religious views on the majority, namely the religious paradigm of NU and Pesantren.

Abstract

A lot of research has been conducted on the relationship between music and mysticism. However, most of the research focuses on the music and practices of Islamic mysticism in Turkey, South Asia, and Persia. There is some research on music in Indonesia, but the focus is more on youth preferences towards the genre of hadrah. This research aims to discuss aspects of spirituality, such as meaning, transcendence, to values in sufistic music in Indonesia. Using qualitative research methods with descriptive approaches, this study found that some of the Indonesian musical genres, ranging from nasyid, gambus, pop, and dangdut, have spiritual dimensions even though the music is not purely Islamic. The spiritual dimensions of such music vary, including meaning, values, transcendence, connectivity, and becoming, a manifestation of life that requires reflection and experience. These five spiritual dimensions are sometimes clearly written in lyrics, but sometimes obscurely contained in them. This research has theoretical implications that Sufistic music does not necessarily form music of the Islamic genre or music created by the Sufists; Sufistic music can be any genre of music to the extent it is judged to contain values or dimensions of the spirituality of Islamic Tasawuf itself.

Abstract

The background of this research is that tafsir has patterns and characteristics whose development can be influenced by the text, context, and interpretation of the interpreter from time to time. Malja’ at-Thalibin, a Sundanese tafsir by Ahmad Sanusi, is interesting to study because it was born in the socio-religious context of the Priangan region. The purpose of this research is to explore Ahmad Sanusi’s response to interpreting the Qur’an as resistance to the reformist lawsuit in which this group moves on the factor of wanting a return to the Qur’an and Sunnah, which is used as a starting point in assessing the truth in religion and community culture. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method sourced from literature studies with a content analysis approach. The depth of knowledge and insight possessed by the author shows its own satisfaction in dealing with community problems through the interpretation of the Qur'an, in addition to the combination of culture, society, and language that is able to give birth to a high-value work of interpretation and influence its readers. In addition, this tafsir also illustrates the attitude of the ulama in the context of resistance to the reformists.

Abstract

Biological relations between husband and wife are an obligation and one of the factors of harmony in the household, in Islam it has been regulated in detail about this matter, one of which is regarding the husband's invitation to his wife to have sex has been regulated by naṣ shar'i both in the Qur'an and hadith, in the hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah the prophet once said that the wife who refuses the husband's invitation to have sex will be cursed by the angels. Many internal and external Muslims consider this hadith as a form of misogynistic and marital rape behavior. This paper seeks to address this feminist speculation as a misogynistic hadith. The research method used is descriptive-analytical technique with a normative-sociological approach and library research that examines in more depth the meaning of the naṣ hadith in question from the books of hadith experts as well as the views and ideas of the scholars regarding the hadith through takhrij hadith so that its quality and validity in fiqh are known. The results of this paper cite the view of the hadith scholars, the husband does not have full power over his wife, she can refuse her husband's invitation if she is sick, tired, menstruating and others, and the opposite applies that the husband must fulfill his wife's invitation if there is no urgent reason that allows him to refuse his wife's invitation to have intercourse, because the fulfillment of biological rights in the household is an obligation for both husband and wife.

Abstract

This research is based on the idea of the need for the development of self-reliant enterprises in educational institutions (Islamic boarding schools) to create institutional and graduate independence. Based on this, the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (MORA) created a program in 2021 related to the development of vocational life skills and self-reliance for Islamic boarding schools. This study includes field research where data is obtained through participatory observation, field documentation, and in-depth interviews using a qualitative approach and qualitative descriptive analysis method. This research presents several new findings: First, the concept of vocational life skills is realized through a Business Incubation program based on household products. Second, the Legal Entity of Islamic Boarding School Enterprises (BUMPES) accommodates various units for the development of small businesses that optimally assist in production management and marketing of creative products from Islamic boarding schools to the general public. Third, training or workshops are provided to students (santri) as workers or human resources involved in this small business process, involving the required experts. Fourth, there are still shortcomings in empowering student workers in this business development because human resource management is needed in production management. This program has provided a beneficial contribution to the progress of Islamic boarding school education, particularly in enhancing the quality of vocational life skills education and understanding of the business world or micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
