Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of teacher’s professionalism on student’s interest in Arabic learning of class X MAN 1 Mataram for academic year 2020/2021. The population in this study were students of class X MAN 1 Mataram and the researcher took 45 students from the population to be used as samples in this study. The research approach used is quantitative research because the desired data is in the form of numbers. The researcher used three research instruments for collecting data namely questionnaires, documentation and observation. The data analysis used Pearson product moment correlation and simple regression with the help of SPSS 16.0 software. Based on the results of the correlation analysis, there was a positive and significant relationship with a correlation level of R=67% indicating a strong relationship between the two variables. And as for the results of the regression analysis, the researcher got the value of F arithmetic > F table 37.140> 4.06 with a significance level of 0.00 <0.05 so it can be concluded that there is an effect of teacher professionalism (X) on students' interest in learning Arabic (Y), with the contribution of the effect of teacher’s professionalism (X) on students' interest in learning (Y) is R Square = 45.8%. Therefore, the hypothesis which says "teacher’s professionalism effect on student’s interest in Arabic learning of class X MAN 1 Mataram for academic year 2020/2021 " is accepted

Abstract

The obstacle which has suffered by students when they learn Arabic languange is their lower comprehending about languange structure. This matter can be knowed from KKM Arabic languange lesson in class VII C MTs Negeri 12 Banyuwangi that setted as 75, but only 10 students of 28 students can reach KKM whereas the other 18 students can’t yet reach KKM which setted. Else that, the data of daily test result analysis has indicated that the students ability of comprehending Arabic languange structure is very low. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the Make a Match model can improve the ability to understand the structure of Arabic in class VII C MTs Negeri 12 Banyuwangi at school? In this study using classroom action research (PTK). The plan of actions was held by two cycles. Each cycle consist of 4 phase, viz planning, acting, observation, and reflecting. Data collection has been held by doing individual asessment (test) and fused with triangulation technique viz interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis that are used is descriptive analysis technique. The result of this research is Make a Match model be able to improve ability of comprehending Arabic languange structure in class VII C MTs Negeri 12 Banyuwangi at school. That case based study completeness of student, percentage at the pre-cycle was 44% then improved at the first cycle 65,38% and at the second cycle become 80%.

Abstract

This research aims to explain Arabic language learning using grammar and translation methods that can train students in writing, measure students' memory, increase Arabic vocabulary, facilitate the translation process, make it easier to determine the position of sentences and compose essays, as well as train other writing skills. This research was conducted at MAN 2 Jombang with the aim of knowing about writing skill learning, applying the grammar and trasnlation method to increase skill, and knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors of applying the method. This study uses a qualitative approach method, namely by using a descriptive qualitative research method. Data was collected using observation, interview, and documentation methods. The collected data in the form of words were analyzed by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that (1) the ability to memorize books of class XI students at MAN 2 Jombang is quite good as seen from learning Arabic at each meeting. (2) the application of the grammar and trasnlation method is to make it easier for students to improve writing skill. (3) The advantages of implementing this are that it makes it easier for students to determine the position of sentences by understanding the nahwu shorof rules and also makes it easier for students to translate from Arabic to Indonesian and vice versa. While the drawback of this method is the quick explanation of the material by the teacher in a short time.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the differences and similarities between Arabic and Indonesian in terms of inflectional morphology and derivations. The type of research used is a descriptive qualitative research method with a contrastive synchronic approach. Data collection methods and techniques in this research used listening methods and note-taking techniques. The results obtained from this research are that there are similarities and differences in the inflection and derivation processes in Arabic and Indonesian. The similarity is that in the inflection process both of them get changes in the verb (verb), nominal (noun) and adjective (adjective). Likewise, in the derivation process, both of them receive additions at the beginning, middle and end in order to obtain a specific meaning or goal. The difference between Arabic and Indonesian in the inflection and derivation process is that Arabic is more productive than Indonesian both in terms of inflection and derivation.

Abstract

This paper aims to provide practical suggestions for teaching Arabic rhetoric to non-Arabic speaking university students. These suggestions are presented in PowerPoint slides and their use is explained in a way that is consistent with the content of the material. These suggestions were tested on two groups of students enrolled in Bachelor's programs in Sharia, Islamic Studies, and Foundations of Religion at Sultan Azlan Shah University in Malaysia. The problem with teaching non-Arabic speakers a new science in Arabic language is that their level in the language is uneven and most of them are below the required level to study a subject that requires a strong foundation in the language, especially when dealing with poetry and eloquent sayings that are the subject of rhetoric. This poses a challenge for both the teacher and the student. The study relied on a descriptive approach to create and present slides, and to explain the principles and considerations that should be taken into account. The study arrived at a number of results, the most important of which is the necessity of using these modern methods, which are no longer a luxury or a standard for evaluating the teacher alone, as the study recorded an improvement in students' understanding of rhetoric lessons after using these methods compared to not using them.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative description research that produces descriptions in from written or spoken words of the people and the observer behavior. This study aims to describe the form of performance, indexicality, and participation. Oral traditional cultur values and inheritance systems in the Jiki Hadara performance, indexicality, and inheritance systems in the Jiki Hadara performance at the wedding of the Bima people with a linguistic anthropological perspective. The theory used in this study is the theory of linguistic anthropology from Duranti. The data collection was carried out using the observation method, the proficient method, and the transcription method. Data analysis using qualitative methods consisting of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The result of this study indicate that the Jiki Hadara performance at the wedding of the Bima community in the Tumpu Village, Bolo sub-district,has forms of performance, indexicality, and participation. Besides that, there are also traditional values in this research as well as an inheritance system that can provide an understanding in maintaining a traditional culture. This research is expected to be material for discussion for all groups, especially for cultural and scientific activists, especially in the field of linguistic anthropology.

Abstract

Constructivism theory is a learning theory that is oriented towards forming the structure of thought patterns and students' understanding of the material through experience and the learning process. This form of implementation in the field, especially in learning maharah kalam in Arabic, can be supported using the cooperative learning method. This research aims to determine the implementation of constructivist learning theory in maharah kalam learning using the cooperative learning method. This type of research is field research with a descriptive qualitative approach carried out at Madrasah Tsanawiah Satu Atap Al-Hidayah, Batu City, East Java. Data collection techniques use observation techniques and interview techniques. The data analysis used is the Miles, Huberman and Saldana analysis technique with three steps, namely condensing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this research include the following (1) implementation of constructivist learning theory in maharah kalam learning at Madrasah Tsanawiah Satu Atap Al-Hidayah, Batu City with the cooperative learning method applied according to the steps and principles of learning, so as to provide a pleasant learning experience for students . (2) the problems encountered in implementing constructivist learning theory are a lack of initiative in discussing learning material and a lack of motivation in learning Arabic, so that efforts to deal with the problem of implementing constructivist learning theory are for teachers to provide encouragement and motivation in learning Arabic and make improvements- improvements in learning.

Abstract

This article aims to measure the ability of nahwu and shorof as the main capital in the proficiency of Qiroatul Kutub, knowing the inhibiting and supporting factors for the ability of santriwati in Qiroatul Kutub, and knowing what methods are applied in learning Qiroatul Kutub proficiency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. By using three pedagogical, sociological, and psychological approaches. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and tests. The results showed that the ability of nahwu and shorof of female students majoring in religion was in the good category and showed indications of progress after the roll-out of Qirotaul Kutub learning with the Arbai'in method.  Factors affecting the ability of Qirotaul Kutub students majoring in religion are the minimum duration of learning time for teachers and students, the different intelligence abilities of santriwati in interest in learning and differences in basic Nahwu Shorof abilities, the adjustment of the qirotaul kutub curriculum which has undergone revision is one of the inhibiting factors from the instrumental side of the institution.   The Qiroatul Kutub method used is the Arbai'in Demak method authored by Al Mukarrom kyai Muharror Khudori, this method prioritizes efficiency and innovation in reading bare books or Arabic texts with the help of the Arbai'in Demak method. This method frequently prioritises efficiency and innovation in reading bare books or Arabic texts with the aim that educators or teachers and all students are able to master proficiency in Qiroatul Kutub.

Abstract

The main problem in this research is the lack of use of learning media which results in students' lack of attention to Arabic language learning. This research aims to (1) find out what students' needs are for Android-based Arabic vocabulary learning media using codular (2) find out the validity of the learning media developed; and (3) knowing the practicality of the learning media being developed. This research is research and development by adapting the 4-D model, namely define, design, development, disseminate. The research instruments used were interview sheet instruments, validation sheets, and practicality sheets. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this research are android-based Arabic vocabulary learning media for Arabic language lessons at Muhammadiyah Fullday Jopang Manganti Elementary School, especially for class III. This learning media consists of five discussions, each discussion consisting of mufradat, images, sounds, and exercises to support student learning. The research results show that (1) the average results show that students need Android-based Arabic vocabulary learning media using Kodular to support Arabic language learning in class III with a percentage of 100%. (2) the results of research validation analysis by three validators obtained an average learning media validation of 3.92 with a very valid category. (3) the results of trials conducted on 17 students and 1 Arabic language teacher also obtained results with an average score of 3.92 in the very practical category

Abstract

This research is motivated by the issues related to the low ability of students in pronouncing letters, words, or sentences in Arabic, especially for beginner learners, to prevent future errors that may hinder the learning process. This study aims to analyze students' errors in reading Arabic texts from a phonological perspective. It is a qualitative research with a descriptive research design. The results of this research are as follows. Firstly, the phonological error forms in Arabic speaking skills among students of the Siraaj Al-Thalibin Islamic boarding school include errors in throat consonant groups (?????) and tongue groups (??????); vowel errors such as vowel deletion, vowel substitution, and long-short vowel errors; diphthong errors; double consonant errors (????); and assimilation errors (??). Secondly, the factors causing errors in Arabic language speaking skills include linguistic and non-linguistic factors. Non-linguistic factors such as low interest and motivation in language learning, and lack of application of the Arabic language.
