Nagari Ujung Gading is one of the villages in West Pasaman Regency. The population in Nagari Ujung Gading consists of the Minang, Mandailing, and Malays. Generally, the livelihood of the people in this village is farming. From the livestock sector, the majority of the population raises chickens as a side income. A traditional processed egg product that is commonly used by the community is pindang eggs. This egg processing uses a protein tanner with a combination of salting and boiling as egg preservation. Preservation of eggs is useful for extending the shelf life of eggs. This activity is 1. to increase the knowledge, understanding, and skills of the community in processing pindang eggs, 2. to increase the shelf life of eggs through the processing of livestock products, and 3. to increase the income and welfare of the community. The targets of the activities are women and the community in the local nagari. Meanwhile, the target of distributing pindang eggs is children aged <15 years. The activity method used is counseling, training, and evaluation, with the andragogical learning method. The results of the activities obtained indicate that this activity received a positive response from the community. This waste is always thrown into the trash cans and then transported by the Kelurahan cleaners, thrown into the TPS, and finally dumped into the TPA. However, currently, the community has not yet implemented waste processing. Also, PKK mothers do not understand the benefits that can be obtained from sorting the waste in the household. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge and understanding as well as public awareness about waste processing to increase family income. This activity was carried out in Ulak Karang Utara Village, Padang City, with the target of PKK women's activities in Ulak Karang Village. The activity method used was counseling and training. Abstract

The low nutritional status of the social community facing Indonesia is a social problem in society that will have an impact on the quality of human resources, because it will affect intelligence, immunity to disease, infant mortality, maternal mortality, and work productivity. Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by a lack of nutritional intake for a long time, resulting in growth problems in children, namely the child's height is lower or shorter (stunted) than the standard age. Based on data from Basic Health Research in 2010, it is known that the prevalence of stunting under five has reached 35.6% and has increased in 2013, namely 37.2%. The prevalence of stunting was higher than the prevalence rate of malnutrition and malnutrition (17.9%), underweight children (13.3%), and obese children (14%). The aim of this community service is to provide education to 30 pregnant women through online media. With this service activity, it is hoped that it can reduce the number of stunting and mortality in children starting from the area of the City of Padang Panjang. Activities are carried out through the media whatsapps for 4 four meetings. The data collected were data on changes in maternal weight before and after the intervention. While the data analysis used paired sample t t-test. Statistical results show that there is a difference in average body weight before and after education with a p p-value of 0.003. Nutrition education can increase body weight and nutritional problems in pregnant women so that they can give birth to healthy and smart children.

Abstract

Most (77%) urban villages in Padang City still have positive cases of COVID-19 and the most are in Koto Tangah District. Prevention and mitigation measures are the key to implementation in health services. During the pandemic, the Public Health Care (PHC) continued to provide services to pregnant, childbirth and postpartum mothers. However, the transmission of COVID-19 to medical personnel and paramedics is getting higher in Indonesia, until July 2020 there were 1.2% of cases. For this reason, it is necessary to ensure that transmission prevention measures are carried out properly. The purpose of this activity is to socialize the “Delivery Chamber” to health workers at the PHC and the Midwives Independent Practice in Koto Tangah District. The method used in this activity is socialization. The outreach activities began with the construction of “Delivery Chamber” and giving them to several PHC and a midwife's independent practice site as a pilot for other health service centers. In addition, there is also a tutorial for making a Delivery Chamber which will be uploaded to Youtube as a virtual socialization medium. According to Aulia, video tutorials on Youtube have an influence on behavior and level of knowledge. The results of this activity were the delivery of Delivery Chamber to the Lubuk Buaya PHC, Anak Air PHC, Air Dingin PHC and Midwife Mariani. It is hoped that health service managers who provide childbirth services during the Covid-19 pandemic to provide a Delivery Chamber and follow the procedures for its use.

Abstract

The concept of sustainable development arises because of concerns about the accelerated deterioration of environmental conditions caused by behavior that only aims to meet needs without considering the negative impact on the environment in the future. One of them is the waste management system which is still carried out with the collect-transport-disposal system. To prevent the negative impacts of waste that are increasing all the time, such as the emergence of vectors, odors, and smoke due to combustion, a better way of waste management is needed, namely reducing waste through reduce, reuse, and recycle (3R). Through fostering students' eco-literacy about the importance of the 3Rs, it is hoped that there will be a change in students' mindset from an early age to prevent future environmental crises and a behavioral transition to a sustainable lifestyle, especially those who are accustomed to reducing waste. The purpose of this activity is to increase school commitment and student behavior to get used to the 3Rs in everyday life. This activity was carried out at SDN 08 Koto Gadang, District IV Koto, Agam Regency, in the form of counseling, 3R leaflets, and the provision of separate trash bins between organic, paper, and plastic. Pre-test and post-test activities were carried out to assess changes in students' knowledge about the extension material provided. This activity indicates an increase in students' knowledge about reducing, reuse, and recycle. It is hoped that schools can take advantage of the trash bins provided so that all school residents can dispose of waste according to its type so that the remaining waste is easier to process in subsequent handling.
