Abstract

The Indonesian people are familiar with traditional medicines that function as anti-inflammatory agents and can strengthen the immune system, with at least 163 types of medicinal plants found on Lombok Island. This study aims to increase students' literacy about Sasak medicinal plants used by the local community through Project-Based Learning assignments. The outcome of this research is a pocket guide on Sasak medicinal plants produced by each student group as part of an inventory effort of active Sasak medicinal plants still used by the community. This research is a descriptive-exploratory qualitative study and a quantitative cross-sectional study. The sample consists of 45 students. The exploratory assessment of qualitative data is based on the students' ability to complete the project and produce the pocket guide, while the quantitative data analysis uses univariate and bivariate analysis in SPSS 25. The Project-Based Learning assignment effectively improved students' literacy on Sasak medicinal plants, resulting in 15 pocket guides. There was a notable improvement in knowledge levels before and after the project assignment, with the percentage of students in the “good knowledge” category increasing from 22.2% to 82.2%. The group of students with the most significant improvement was Group 6, with a 95% score in the "good knowledge" category. There was a significant increase in knowledge with a p-value of 0.009 < 0.05, indicating an influence of improved knowledge among Pharmacy students at Universitas Qamarul Huda Badarudin Bagu regarding the use of Sasak medicinal plants in the community after participating in the phytochemistry practice and being given assignments through Project-Based Learning (PBL).

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi adalah kunci keberhasilan individu dan pembangunan bangsa. Literasi tidak hanya mencakup membaca, tetapi juga keterampilan berpikir kritis, komunikasi, dan partisipasi sosial. Melalui cerita rakyat, literasi dapat memperkuat pendidikan karakter dan melestarikan budaya. Penelitian mengenai penguatan literasi pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia berbasis cerita rakyat di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama di Magetan memiliki fokus penelitian (1) mengetahui implementasi penguatan literasi pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama berbasis cerita rakyat (2) mengetahui kendala yang dihadapi dalam implementasi penguatan lietrasi pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama berbasis cerita rakyat. Metode yang yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif melalui pendekatan deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah informan dan dokumen. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, penugasan, dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Gerakan literasi berbasis cerita rakyat mampu meningkatkan Tingkat literasi yang dimiliki siswa. Temuan lainnya adalah adanya kendala berupa kesulita siswa dalam berkonsentrasi dan kurangnya minat baca siswa. Penelitian ini memiliki implikasi terhadap ilmu pengetahuan karena mampu menunjukkan pentingnya gerakan literasi seperti yang dilakukan peneliti dan adanya manfaat praktis yang bisa diterapkan oleh guru dalam praktik pengajaran mereka.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian eksperimen (experiment research) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan proses sains dengan menerapkan model Discovery Learning dan Contextual Learning berbasis REACT pada dua kelas eksperimen dengan membandingkan skor pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan proses sains pada Mata Kuliah Fisika Dasar I. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan IPA FKIP Universitas Sulawesi Barat yakni Kelas A angkatan 2024 sebanyak 21 orang dan Kelas B angkatan 2024 sebanyak 22 orang untuk semester ganjil tahun akademik 2024/2025. Desain dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Randomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Hasil analisis data memperlihatkan bahwa setelah mahasiswa diajar dengan menggunakan model Discovery learning pada pemahaman konsep Fisika Dasar I menunjukkan uji uji hipotesis ( (-15,469) < - t0,025 (-2,0595)) yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Dan keterampilan proses sains dengan uji hipotesis ( (-17,324) < - t0,025 (-2,0595)) yang juga berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakukan. Hal yang sama juga terjadi pada kelas yang diajar dengan model Contextual Learning berbasis REACT pada pemahaman konsep Fisika Dasar I dengan uji hipotesis ( (-15,037) < - t0,025 (-2,0555)) sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Dan keterampilan proses sains dengan uji hipotesis ( (-19,311) < - t0,025 (-2,0555)) berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Kemudian dari hipotesis hubungan skor pemahaman konsep Fisika Dasar I kelas Discovery Learning dengan kelas Contextual Learning berbasis REACT terdapat perbedaan, dengan hasil uji hipotesis ( (2,343) > t0,025 (2,0086)). Selanjutnya, untuk pencapaian skor keterampilan proses sains antara Discovery Learning dengan kelas Contextual Learning berbasis REACT dengan hasil uji hipotesis ( (-1,036) > t0,025 (-2,0086)) berarti tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antara pencapaian skor setelah perlakuan kelas Discovery Learning dan Contextual Learning berbasis REACT.

Abstract

Abstrak Kekerasan di sekolah telah terjadi lebih sering belakangan ini, seperti yang dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya liputan media di surat kabar dan televisi yang membahas masalah ini. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini, beberapa permainan tradisional akan dikembangkan yang diintegrasikan dengan metode habituasi anti-bullying untuk siswa sekolah dasar. Permainan tradisional yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ular tangga anti-bullying (GABUL) dan congklak anti-bullying. (GABIL). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan penguatan kepada siswa mengenai jenis-jenis perundungan dan cara mengatasi perundungan di sekolah dasar dengan menggunakan metode habituasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian pra-eksperimental satu kelompok pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas empat dan kelas lima yang berjumlah 116 siswa dari 4 sekolah yang berbeda. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan memerlukan analisis uji. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis prasyarat dalam bentuk uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, dan homogenitas, sedangkan uji hipotesis dengan uji t sampel berpasangan. Nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Oleh karena itu, ini berarti bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan media permainan tradisional terintegrasi dan inovatif GABAL dan GABIL dengan metode habituasi anti-bullying terhadap kemampuan siswa sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media permainan tradisional inovatif GABUL dan GABIL dianggap efektif dalam mengajarkan perilaku anti-bullying kepada siswa sekolah dasar. Media permainan ini dilakukan menggunakan metode habituasi, yang mengajarkan siswa tentang perilaku bullying dan membantu mereka merasakan empati serta harga diri. Dengan demikian, diharapkan dapat mengurangi perilaku bullying di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci: Permainan Tradisional, Anti-Bulliying, Metode Habituasi, Siswa Abstract Violence in schools has been occurring more frequently lately, as evidenced by the increasing media coverage in both newspapers and on television discussing this issue. Therefore, in this research, several traditional games will be developed that are integrated with anti-bullying habituation methods for elementary school students. The traditional games used in this research are the anti-bullying snakes and ladders (GABUL) and the anti-bullying hopscotch. (GABIL). The purpose of this research is to provide knowledge and reinforcement for students regarding the types of bullying and how to address bullying in elementary schools using the habituation method. This study used quantitative research methods with a pre experimental research design of one group pretest-posttest. The research sample was fourth grade and fifth grade students totaling 116 students from 4 different school. The data analysis technique employed requires test analysis. The data analysis technique employs prerequisite analysis in the form of validity, reliability, normalcy, and homogeneity tests, whereas the hypothesis test with paired sample t-test. The significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it means that there is an influence of using integrated and innovative traditional game media GABAL and GABIL with the anti-bullying habituation method on students' abilities before and after treatment. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the innovative traditional games media GABUL and GABIL are considered effective in teaching elementary school students anti-bullying behavior. This game media is conducted using the habituation method, which teaches students about bullying behavior and helps them feel empathy and self-esteem. Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the level of poetry writing ability through Malaikat Juga Tahu short story transformation of class XI SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru. This study was conducted at SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru with a sample of 80 class XI students. The duration of the study lasted for 10 days from 6 to 15 August 2024. The data collection methods used were observation and tests. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistical techniques. The ability to write poetry through short story transformation of class XI SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru was assessed based on five aspects, namely aspects of content suitability, typography, taste, language style and message. The typography aspect obtained the highest average score of 95,43 and the lowest average score of 72,61 was in the language style. The results of the data analysis obtained an average ability to write poetry through short story transformation of class XI SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru, namely 80,20%. It can be concluded that writing poetry through.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the perceptions of vocational high school mathematics teachers towards Problem-Based Learning and evaluate the effectiveness of this method in improving students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. This research is important because mathematical problem-solving skills are essential competencies that support students’ critical and creative thinking skills, yet they remain low in many schools. This research uses a mixed-method approach with a quantitative questionnaire to measure teachers’ perceptions of problem-based learning and qualitative interviews to explore more in-depth information. The participants were 45 vocational high school mathematics teachers in Kendal Regency who were selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed descriptively to identify patterns in teachers’ perceptions and to analyze interviews to understand the challenges of implementing the method. The results show that most teachers positively perceive problem-based learning, with 80% agreeing that this skill is essential. However, the main obstacles are the lack of teacher competence in innovative learning strategies and limited facilities. This research recommends continuous training for teachers and the development of problem-based modules to support the successful implementation of problem-based learning.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is an important strategy in the world of education to address the challenges of student heterogeneity, especially in algebraic operations material which requires a strong understanding of concepts and procedures. This research aims to analyze the implementation of differentiation learning in improving student learning outcomes in Mathematics subjects on the subject of Algebra operations. This research uses differentiated learning involving three elements, namely visual, auditory and kinesthetic. This research is classroom action research which is divided into two cycles and begins with a pre-cycle. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing actions, observing, evaluating, and reflecting. The research was carried out on class VIIA odd semester students at MTs Persis Benda for the 2024/2025 academic year. As for the results of research carried out on 31 students, in the pre-cycle activities the number of students who completed was 5 students (16.13%), while 26 students who did not complete it were 26 students (83.87%), with an average score of 51.16. In the first cycle, students experienced an increase, the number of students who completed was 17 students (54.84%) while 14 students who had not completed it were 14 students (45.16%) with an average score of 66.65. Then in cycle II there was a very high increase compared to the previous cycle, namely 28 students who had reached the KKM (90.32%), while 3 students who had not yet completed it, with an average score of 80.71. The results of this research show that the application of differentiated learning can improve Mathematics learning outcomes in algebraic operations material for class VIIA odd semester students at MTs Persis Benda for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

Critical thinking plays a crucial role in the academic and professional development of students. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of Society 5.0 is particularly noteworthy, especially with the emergence of AI Chatbot tools that are transforming how students engage in learning. This study aims to explore students' perceptions of using chatbots concerning their critical thinking abilities when completing assignments. To achieve this, a descriptive quantitative research method was employed, utilizing survey questionnaires distributed to students. The analysis involved collecting, structuring, and interpreting quantitative descriptive data, with instrument validity ensured through expert review. The results indicate that Chatbot AI can support Gen Z students in developing critical thinking skills by helping them clarify problems, categorize information, and structure their answers. However, it should not replace the importance of discussion and reflection. Therefore, its use should be balanced with learning strategies that promote information verification, academic discussions, and practical application. Educational institutions must ensure that chatbot AI usage fosters reflection, provides contextualized solutions, and encourages ethical practices.

Abstract

Wilcoxon test, a non-parametric statistical method, is often used in educational research to analyze significant differences between two groups of related data. This study explores the utilization of the Wilcoxon Test in science education research through a systematic literature review approach of empirical studies. The review included empirical research articles published in accredited scientific journals and applied the Wilcoxon Test as data analysis. The findings showed the prevalence of using the Wilcoxon Test in pre-test and post-test data analysis in experimental research design, comparative research, extension research, and development research. In addition, the study identified various variations of the Wilcoxon Test application, including the Wilcoxon Test for paired samples and the Wilcoxon Test with continuity correction. This literature review provides a comprehensive description of Wilcoxon Test applications in science education research and recommends careful consideration for researchers in selecting and applying the statistical test based on data characteristics and research objectives.

Abstract

The exploration of local wisdom integrated into education has great potential to increase students' awareness of the importance of environmental conservation, especially in dealing with pollution problems. This study aims to explore local wisdom (Tegal Deso-Okol) in Gresik and analyze its role in environmental conservation and its potential as a learning resource for students on environmental pollution material. The research method used was a survey to identify local wisdom, traditions, and practices relevant to biology learning. The research process involved interviews with local people, migrants, as well as officials and community leaders to explore information about habits, phenomena, culture, and beliefs in a series of events (Tegal Deso-Okol). The results showed that local wisdom in Setro Village and Bongso Wetan Village reflected a close relationship as a form of respect for nature and ancestors. The values contained in the local wisdom include 1) religious value, 2) environmental value, 3) trust value, 4) sharing value, 5) cultural value, and 6) tradition preservation value. Gresik's local wisdom also serves as a learning resource, where the use of natural materials from cultural activities, such as food waste and straw waste, is developed into compost as organic fertilizer.
