Abstract

In managing the TWAL of Kupang Bay, synergy and participation of the surrounding community are needed to maintain and preserve the existing coastal and marine resources. The presence of the "Nunsui Beach" Community Group is expected to be able to contribute to efforts to sustain coastal and marine resources in TWAL Teluk Kupang. This study aims to determine the role of the community, especially the "Nunsui Beach" community group in the sustainable management of the TWAL Teluk Kupang coastal area. The research was conducted in the Oesapa Village, Kelapa Lima District, Kupang City with the main focus being the "Nunsui Beach" Community Group. Source of data is done by using a questionnaire method with a questionnaire instrument. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The TWAL Teluk Kupang Community Group “Nunsui Beach” is a group that was legalized through Decree of the Oesapa Village Head No. 011/SKEP/KOSP/2020 concerning the establishment of the “Nunsui Beach” group, Oesapa Village, Kelapa Lima District, Kupang City. This group is engaged in capture fisheries activities using fishing rods, trawls, fixed nets and floating nets and is tasked with efforts to improve the welfare of the group, develop the creative economy and help and support conservation efforts carried out by the KSDA Center in the TWAL area of Kupang Bay. The role of the "Nunsui Beach" Community Group in implementing sustainable management, namely carrying out independent and joint patrols with the Government (NTT BKSDA), collecting data on catches, participating in developing the creative economy through selling processed catches and local culinary snacks and conveying and implementing applicable fishing regulations and delivery of useful information to improve the human resources of the Oesapa Village.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential of mangrove resources in Nisombalia village, analyze damage to mangrove forests and formulate strategies for developing mangrove ecotourism in Nisombalia village. The method used in this research is analysis of the level of damage based on direct surveys of mangrove conditions, interpretation of Landsat 8 imagery, interviews, filling out questionnaires for economic valuation of mangroves and SWOT analysis for determining the direction of mangrove ecotourism development strategies. The results obtained for mangrove conditions for the type of Rhizopora apiculate showed the highest percentage of coverage of 57.81%. The results of image interpretation also show that there has been a reduction and increase in area from 2018-2022 and for the total economic value in Nisombalia Village of Rp. 35,442,557,718. There are 2 strategic directions for the rehabilitation of mangrove ecosystems which are the top priority in Nisombalia Village, namely: 1) Restoring the function of mangrove forests according to the rehabilitation ecological space pattern; 2) Provision of mangrove cultivation facilities (nursery and seeding) which are managed directly by the community.

Abstract

Limited land has encouraged the local government to carry out reclamation for the development of coastal areas, taking or transferring the function of coastal protection land. Reclamation has been carried out in every sub-district in Parepare City, such as the construction of an embankment in Soreang District, land expansion and construction of a port area in Ujung District, and the development of beach tourism in West Bacukiki District. Development in coastal areas that are not in accordance with applicable regulations and causes an imbalance sediment transport along the coast.The purpose of this study was to determine changes in the coastline in the Pare-pare Bay area within a period of 20 years using remote sensing satellite imagery data and find out the causes of changes in the coastline in the Pare-pare Bay area.Its use is expected to provide information about changes in the coastline in the City of Pare-pare, in order to assist the local government in making policies in the management of coastal and marine areas in a sustainable manner and also in making spatial plans for the City of Parepare. The method used in this research is to collect spatial data in the form of 2001 Landsat 7 and 2021 Landsat 8 images. The spatial data analysis uses the method of making polygons using measure tools on the resulting map overlay in the GIS application. The results of the study in the Parepare Bay Area concluded that the magnitude of the shoreline change in the Parepare Bay Area within a 20 year period was 22.47 Ha. The length of the coastline has increased by 0.22 km. Changes in the coastline in the Parepare Bay Area are caused by natural factors and human activities. Natural factors in the form of waves, currents and tides. While the factor of human activity in the form of reclamation along the coast of Parepare Bay.

Abstract

Vannamei shrimp cultivation in Indonesia is currently the mainstay of the aquaculture sector and is a priority for aquaculture development in Indonesia to improve the national economy. Pond management in general in Indonesia, especially in Java, still needs better management planning. This can be seen from the many abandoned ponds due to crop failure. Even abandoned ponds on the island of Java reached 70%. This study used a quantitative method by collecting interview data and studying literature. Variables in this study include aquaculture (HR), technology, economic motives. The instrument used in this study was in the form of an interview sheet. and West Java p(T<=t) 0.2. Area of harvested land from Central Java and West Java Provinces with p=0.04 (<0.05). Yields from the provinces of East Java and Central Java with p=0.02 (<0.05). Area of harvested land from East Java and Central Java with p=0.04 (<0.05). Getting to the conclusion that there is a relationship between the area of harvested land and yields in the Provinces of East Java and West Java.

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki potensi yang sangat besar untuk pengembangan budidaya lobster air tawar , jika dilihat dari kondisi alamnya. Lobster air tawar merupakan salah satu jenis crustacea yang memiliki nilai prospek yang cukup bagus didalam sektor perikanan, akan tetapi Dalam pembenihan lobster air tawar terdapat beberapa kendala seperti pengeraman yang relative lama dan tingkat penetasan yang belum optimal. Hal ini dipengaruhi lingkungan yang kurang mendukung Suhu adalah salah satu parameter lingkungan yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap daya tetas dan perkembangan larva ikan serta suhu dapat menghambat proses pengeraman khususnya pada penetasan telur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan suhu air terhadap derajat penetasan telur dan mengetahui suhu terbaik pada penetasan telur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 8 pengulangan. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini : perlakuan suhu 26 oC, 29 0C, 320 C. data yang diamati daya tetas telur lobster air tawar (C quardicarinatus). Hasil penelitian meunjukkan bahwa perbedaan suhu air berpengaruh nyata terhadap daya tetas telur lobster air tawar. Perlakuan C 32 oC adalah perlakuan terbaik yang menghasilkan lama waktu penetasan 6,6 hari dan perlakuan B 29 0C adalah perlakuan terbaik pada daya tetas telur 91,5 %.

Abstract

Indonesia adalah suatu negara Kepulauan dan bahkan menjadi salah satu negara dengan kepualuan terbesar didunia. Rumah tangga nelayan biasanya mempunyai persoalan yang lebih rumit dibandingkan dengan rumah tangga pertanian. Ciri-ciri yang dimiliki rumah tangga nelayan terkhususnya seperti penggunaan wilayah pesisir dan lautan sebagai faktor produksi, adanya ketidakpastian penghasilan, jam kerja yang harus mengikuti siklus bulan yang biasanya dalam satu bulan hanya bisa bekerja selama 20 hari sisanya mereka hanya menganggur. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor penghambat dalam mewujudkan kesejahteraan rumah tangga nelayan di TPI Cempae Kota Parepare Sulawesi Selatan.kemiskinan sebagai keterbatasannya dalam bidang pendidikan. Menurutnya “kemiskinan dicirikan oleh rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk melanjutkan pendidikannya, rendahnya tingkat pendidikan keluarga nelayan sehingga tidak memiliki kemampuan dan pengetahuan yang cukup untuk diterima dan memenuhi syarat bekerja disektor lain yang memiliki penghasilan lebih banyak”. Dan ada yang memahami kemiskinan sebagai ketidak mampuan dalam mencukupi kebutuhan pokok, yaitu sandang, pangan dan papan. faktor penyebab kemiskinan berupa fluktuasi musim tangkap, sumberdaya manusia nelayan, ekploitasi pemodalBerdasarkan dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa, faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat kesejahteraan nelayan di TPI Cempae Kota Parepare dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti: Fluktuasi Musim Tangkap, Sumberdaya manusia nelayan, Ekploitasi Pemodal. Sehingga para istri nelayan harus ikut membantu dalam mencukupi kebutuhan ekonomi keluarga mereka, dengan cara bekerja sesuai dengan kemampuannya.

Abstract

Viral Nervous Necrosis (VNN) disease is one of the diseases included in the list of aquatic animal diseases of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) and is a pathogen that poses a threat to grouper aquaculture throughout the world. VNN infection can occur vertically and horizontally and has a mortality rate of up to 100%. This study aimed to detect VNN using molecular methods (PCR) in grouper cultured in Buleleng, Bali. The method used is molecularly by conventional PCR. The results of this study indicated that groupers with VNN showed rotating, solitary swimming and enlarged eyelets (exophthalmos). The internal organs show enlargement of the spleen and kidneys. The liver looks pale and haemorrhage occurs in other internal organs. The results of the PCR examination showed 5 (five) positive samples of VNN with the appearance of a band at 230 bp so that the prevalence of VNN was 25%. From the results of this study, recommendations that can be taken are monitoring and surveillance of VNN need to be carried out continuously in grouper aquaculture, this is necessary to determine actions to be taken quickly if VNN is detected in an aquaculture unit. Abstract

The high cost and difficulty in meeting the nutritional requirements of feed presentfundamental challenges in the cultivation of humpback grouper (Cromileptes altivelis).Supplementary feed in the form of anchovies (Stolephorus sp) is an alternative source of nutrientsto support growth and survival. This study aims to evaluate how anchovy supplementation affectsthe growth rate, survival rate, and feed efficiency in the rearing of juvenile humpback grouper.The study utilized a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments, each replicatedthree times. Data obtained from observations were analyzed using ANOVA and the LeastSignificant Difference (LSD) test to identify treatments that showed significant differences.Treatment C yielded the highest daily growth rate at 5.75% and the best absolute length gain of4.03 cm. Treatments B and C showed the highest survival rates, reaching 93.33%, and thehighest feed efficiency, with a value of 0.224. During the research, water temperature ranged from28.17°C to 31.09°C, pH levels were between 7.02 and 8, and salinity ranged from 31.11 to 34.92ppt. The results indicate that adding anchovy feed significantly improves juvenile humpbackgrouper growth and feed efficiency, but does not significantly affect their survival rate.

Abstract

Squid (Loligo sp.) is a non-fish fishery product that has high economic value and abundant nutritional content, especially protein, fat, and minerals. The utilization of squid as raw material for crackers is a food product diversification innovation that can increase the added value of this commodity, especially in the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector. This study aims to systematically review the biological classification of squid, its nutritional content, the process of making squid crackers, and factors that affect the organoleptic quality of the product. This article uses a literature review approach to review the factors in the manufacturing process that affect the quality of squid crackers, including the squid cracker manufacturing process involving the stages of washing and weeding, mashing, dough making, dough molding, dough steaming, cracker drying, and cracker frying. The study results show that the quality of squid crackers is highly influenced by the quality of raw materials, dough kneading, dough steaming time, dough drying, and frying temperature determine the final product.

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world with more than 81,000 km of coastline and more than 17,508 islands. The aquaculture and fishery product processing sectors have the potential to become one of the economic drivers in North Konawe Regency. There is a need for qualitative and quantitative information related to the development of the sector. The methodology used is; (1) survey and data collection, (2) data analysis using a set of analyses directed at mapping. (3) spatial database development. The land area of freshwater fish farming in North Konawe Regency is 11,928 ha, with potential land that can still be utilized amounting to 56,098 Ha. Commodities from freshwater aquaculture are dominated by goldfish, catfish and mujaer fish with a total production for 1 year of 5375 kg. Processing of fishery products in North Konawe Regency uses a traditional system and is on a household industry scale with a total of 88 business actors. The majority are located in Lasolo sub-district with a production of 145 tons/month. Tembang fish is the most dominating processing product at 90% of the total production. Based on the results of the study, we recommend the need to increase the area of freshwater aquaculture by opening new land to increase production. It is necessary to increase the capacity of business actors by modernizing the processing process and improving business institutions to be effective and efficient.
