Abstract

This study aims to analyze the speech difficulties experienced by TikToker Slamet with a cleft lip based on a psycholinguistic study. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data sources in the form of three videos with a total duration of 3 minutes 9 seconds. Data were analyzed through word-by-word pronunciation observations which were then classified based on word type (noun, verb, adjective, adverb) and phoneme type (vowel and consonant). The results showed that the main disorders were found in bilabial consonant phonemes (/p/, /b/), alveolar (/t/, /d/), and velar (/k/, /g/). These findings support Levelt's (1989) speech production theory and the SPARC model (Cho et al., 2024) which emphasize the importance of spatial-temporal coordination of the articulatory organs. Psycholinguistically, Slamet's cognitive language abilities were not impaired, but physiologically he experienced articulatory difficulties. These findings demonstrate the integration of physical, cognitive, and psychosocial aspects in the language production of cleft lip sufferers. Keywords: Language, Psycholinguistics, Phonemes

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat siswa dalam pembelajaran sastra serta keterbatasan bahan ajar yang relevan dengan kehidupan mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan nilai moral dalam novel Rasa karya Tere Liye dan memanfaatkannya sebagai bahan ajar analisis isi dan kebahasaan novel di SMA kelas XII. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik membaca, mencatat, dan mendokumentasikan kutipan yang memuat nilai moral. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat kategori nilai moral, yaitu hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan 4 data, dengan dirinya sendiri 23 data, dengan sesama manusia 70 data, dan dengan alam 10 data. Temuan ini kemudian dikembangkan menjadi modul pembelajaran yang mendukung pemahaman isi, analisis kebahasaan, dan penguatan karakter siswa. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa novel Rasa layak dijadikan bahan ajar sastra yang kontekstual, menarik, dan bermanfaat dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.Kata Kunci: analisis isi, bahan ajar, kebahasaan, nilai moral, novel Rasa

Abstract

This study analyzes semiotic signs in Teja Purnama's poem "Akulah Medan" using Charles Sanders Peirce's theory, which includes icons, indices, and symbols. The semiotic approach was chosen because the poem represents the historical, social, and cultural significance of the city of Medan. The method used is qualitative descriptive, using reading, listening, and note-taking techniques. The analysis shows that the poem "Akulah Medan" depicts Medan as a symbol of love, identity, and social criticism.

Abstract

Pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar merupakan fondasi penting bagi keberhasilan belajar siswa, namun masih banyak pelajar di Indonesia yang menghadapi kesulitan dalam hal ini, sementara pembelajaran sastra sering dianggap kurang menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hierarki kebutuhan tokoh utama dalam novel Janji karya Tere Liye berdasarkan teori Abraham Maslow serta mendeskripsikan pemanfaatannya sebagai bahan ajar sastra di kelas XII SMA/SMK. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik baca dan katat terhadap kutipan narasi maupun dialog yang mencerminkan lima tingkat kebutuhan Maslow. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tokoh Bahar mengalami pemenuhan kebutuhan secara bertahap, mulai dari fisiologis hingga aktualisasi diri, dengan data 25 kutipan fisiologis, 31 rasa aman, 38 cinta dan memiliki, 30 harga diri, dan 34 aktualisasi diri. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa novel Janji layak dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan ajar sastra yang kontekstual dan telah divalidasi pakar dengan kategori layak digunakan dengan sedikit revisi.Kata Kunci: bahan ajar, hierarki kebutuhan, Maslow, novel Janji, psikologi humanistik

Abstract

Bahasa memiliki pengaruh nyata dalam kehidupan, apalagi bahasa politik yang di ungkapkan oleh pejabat negara, maka respons masyarakat akan cepat menindaknya, bahkan bisa saja menjadi bencana dan anarkis jika pernyataan publik figur menyakiti hati rakyat. Metode Penelitan menggunakan pendekatan analisis wacana kritis teori A. van Dijk dengan data primer pernyataan Ahmad Syahroni. Hasil penelitian:1) analisis struktur teks berupa argumen-defensif, strategi retoris: mulai dengan serangan, sempat melunak, lalu menegaskan kembali dominasi; 2) Kognisi sosial, berupa ideologi hierarkis, elit menganggap dirinya superior, legitimasi diri sebagai DPR, polarization; 3) Konteks sosial, berupa dominasi simbolik, strategi penaklukan simbolik, delegitimasi kritik, dan wacana dipakai untuk mempertahankan hegemoni. Saran, semoga pejabat negara dan publik figur dalam menyampaikan pernyataan harus dimatangkan terlebih dahulu dan santun dalam berbahasa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena alih kode yang kerap muncul dalam interaksi bilingual, khususnya di media digital seperti YouTube, namun belum banyak dimanfaatkan dalam pembelajaran bahasa di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan bentuk alih kode dalam video YouTube CXO Media-Bersama Maudy Ayunda, mengungkap faktor penyebabnya, serta memanfaatkannya sebagai bahan ajar teks negosiasi kelas X SMA. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik simak dan catat. Data berupa tuturan beralih kode dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya alih kode eksternal Indonesia–Inggris dengan faktor penyebab meliputi penutur, lawan tutur, topik, serta situasi komunikasi. Temuan ini kemudian dikembangkan menjadi modul pembelajaran teks negosiasi yang dinilai “layak digunakan dengan sedikit revisi” berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa alih kode dapat dijadikan bahan ajar kontekstual yang menarik dan relevan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman serta keterampilan berbahasa siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.Kata kunci: alih kode, YouTube, Maudy Ayunda, teks negosiasi, bahan ajar

Abstract

 Language in traditional societies serves a broader function than mere communication; it acts as a representation of culture, spirituality, and collective identity. This study focuses on ritual language in the form of prayers and mantras used by the Bajau fishing community, a maritime group deeply connected to the sea as the center of their livelihood and belief system. Employing an interdisciplinary approach that integrates anthropological linguistics, semiotics, and maritime cultural studies, this research aims to explore the symbolic and performative representations of language in Bajau ritual practices. A mixed-method approach is applied, with bibliometric data collected through Publish or Perish and analyzed using VOSviewer software. The analysis reveals a growing academic interest in the semantics and symbolism of Bajau prayers and mantras, with a dominant focus on their linguistic-performative function as a medium of communication with supernatural entities. This study underscores the importance of documenting and analyzing ritual language as a means of preserving oral cultural heritage and strengthening local identity amid the pressures of modernization. Keywords: ritual language, Bajau community, mantra, prayer, semiotics, maritime culture

Abstract

This research aims to determine the development of a teaching module based on diversity using the PBL (problem Based Learning) model for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Peusangan. The research method used is quantitative with an experimental approach, and the design applied is one group pretest and posttest. The research sample consists of 20 students. The data collection instrument is a test on speech materials before and after the treatment. Data analysis techniques are conducted through descriptive statistical tests, normality tests (Kolmogorov-Smirnov), hypothesis statistical tests or t-tests (Paired Sample Test), and N-Gain tests to see effectiveness. Before the treatment, the average score was 56.00, and after the treatment, the average score of students increased to 89.45, with the highest score being 100 from the assessment results of the speech text test using the diversity-based teaching module. This module not only enhances academic performance but also instills a sense of empathy, tolerance, and appreciation for the diversity of race, ethnicity, culture, and religion.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of integrated digital learning in the Indonesian language teaching modules for senior high school and to evaluate teachers’ and students’ perceptions in the era of Education 4.0. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, questionnaires, and documentation as data collection techniques. The subjects consisted of 3 teachers and 39 students of grades X, XI, and XII at SMAIT Entrepreneur Muhammadiyah Bireuen. The instruments were based on five components of learning modules: self-instruction, self-contained, stand-alone, adaptive, and user-friendly. The findings revealed that integrated digital learning was effectively implemented. Teachers successfully integrated digital media such as PowerPoint, learning videos, Quizizz, Kahoot, and Canva, making the learning process more interactive and independent. Students actively participated and managed to follow all activities without relying on textbooks. More than 90% of students agreed that digital learning increased their enthusiasm and motivation to learn. In conclusion, integrated digital learning is highly effective in improving the quality of Indonesian language learning and is feasible to be applied as an innovative strategy in the digital transformation era.Keywords: integrated digital learning in the era of Education 4.0, Indonesian language teaching module.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how employing educational game-based learning resources affects and improves seventh-grade students' ability to write narrative texts at SMP Negeri 1 Peusangan Selatan. A pretest-posttest control group design is employed, along with a quantitative, quasi-experimental research methodology. Sixty students, split into two classes—the experimental class and the control class—make up the research sample. Before and after therapy, a writing skills exam for narrative texts serves as the data gathering tool. Data analysis techniques are conducted through descriptive statistical tests, normality tests (Kolmogorov-Smirnov), homogeneity tests (Levene’s Test), N-Gain tests to see effectiveness, and t-tests (Independent Sample T-Test) to test the hypothesis. According to the findings, pupils in the experimental class significantly outperformed those in the control group. According to the t-test results, there is a substantial impact of employing educational game-based teaching resources on writing skills, with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Furthermore, the experimental class's average improvement in writing abilities (77.85%) is categorized as strong by the N-Gain findings, whereas the control group only achieved 52.87%. According to the study's findings, junior high school students' writing abilities in narrative texts may be enhanced through the usage of instructional game-based tools.
