Abstract

Insurance literacy among the younger generation is a crucial issue in improving understanding of financial products, including personal accident insurance. This study aims to determine the level of literacy of University Vocational School (UNS) students regarding personal accident insurance products at PT. Asuransi Sinar Mas Solo Branch. This study used qualitative methods with in-depth interviews with randomly selected students and questionnaires distributed to University Vocational School (UNS) students. Data were analyzed to identify understanding, barriers, and opportunities for improving literacy. The results showed that student literacy levels were still varied, with the main obstacles being difficult to understand technical terms, lack of education, and minimal outreach from insurance companies. Some students did not fully understand the benefits and procedures for insurance claims. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that student literacy regarding personal accident insurance still needs to be improved through more active education and outreach programs, including the use of digital technology. Literasi asuransi di kalangan generasi muda menjadi isu penting dalam meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap produk keuangan, termasuk asuransi personal accident. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana tingkat literasi mahasiswa Sekolah Vokasi Universitas (UNS) terhadap produk asuransi personal accident di PT.Asuransi Sinar Mas Cabang Solo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam kepada mahasiswa yang dipilih secara acak dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada mahasiswa Sekolah Vokasi Universitas (UNS). Data dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi pemahaman, hambatan, dan peluang peningkatan literasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat literasi mahasiswa masih beragam, dengan kendala utama berupa istilah teknis yang sulit dipahami, kurangnya edukasi, serta minimnya sosialisasi dari perusahaan asuransi. Sebagian mahasiswa belum memahami manfaat dan prosedur klaim asuransi dengan baik. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa literasi mahasiswa terhadap asuransi personal accident masih perlu ditingkatkan melalui program edukasi dan sosialisasi yang lebih aktif, termasuk pemanfaatan teknologi digital.

Abstract

Education in schools plays a crucial role in shaping human development. Students undergo a structured and consistent learning process from Kindergarten to tertiary institutions, establishing a solid foundation for acquiring essential knowledge. Elementary school education serves as a fundamental pillar, enabling individuals to progress to higher levels of education and fostering proper development within society. This research employs descriptive qualitative methods, utilizing literature reviews, observations, interviews, and documentation for data collection. Various research instruments, including observation papers, interview guides, books, and scientific articles, contribute to the comprehensive analysis. The chosen research method aligns with the study's objective, aiming to depict prevailing conditions and identify solutions to challenges faced by early elementary school students, particularly grade 1 students at SD Ta`mirul Islam Inovatif. The study revealed issues such as a lack of motivation, difficulties in social interaction, and challenges in retaining learned information, including test and class schedules. Additionally, the research proposes several solutions that may offer insights for educators and parents facing similar issues

Abstract

Science literacy is a critical 21st-century competency; however, Indonesian students continue to perform at a low level, partly due to the lack of contextual learning media that foster scientific thinking. Digital comics are considered a promising alternative. This study aimed to identify the need for developing digital comic-based instructional media to enhance science literacy in primary education. A mixed-methods descriptive design was employed from April to June 2025, involving 23 third-grade students and 2 teachers from an A-accredited elementary school in Kebumen Regency, Indonesia. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and classroom observations, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative content analysis. The results showed that 84% of students and 94% of teachers expressed a high need for digital comic-based learning media. Qualitative data revealed the scarcity of contextual instructional materials and limited student engagement in scientific reasoning. These findings underscore the urgent relevance of developing digital comic media as an effective and contextually appropriate tool to support science literacy. The study recommends integrating digital comics into science instruction to foster student engagement and meaningful learning.Kemampuan literasi sains yang penting di abad ke-21 masih rendah di Indonesia karena kurangnya media pembelajaran kontekstual yang mendukung cara berpikir ilmiah murid, sehingga media komik digital dinilai potensial sebagai solusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pengembangan media pembelajaran komik digital untuk memperkuat literasi sains di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods yang dilaksanakan pada April–Juni 2025. Sumber data diperoleh dari 23 murid dan 2 guru kelas III di salah satu SD terakreditasi A di Kabupaten Kebumen. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket skala Likert, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan observasi kelas, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis kuantitatif deskriptif dan analisis kualitatif melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa 84% murid dan 94% guru merasa sangat membutuhkan pengembangan media pembelajaran komik digital. Temuan kualitatif mengungkapkan masih terbatasnya media pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan minimnya keterlibatan murid dalam proses berpikir ilmiah. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan media komik digital dinilai sangat relevan dan mendesak sebagai solusi pembelajaran kontekstual dan efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi sains. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan komik digital untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan murid dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

According to a survey conducted by the International Student Assessment Program (PISA), it is clear that Indonesia still ranks low compared to other countries. The survey, conducted in 2022, placed Indonesia in 74th place out of 79 countries. This study aims to determine: 1) the application of technology in mathematics learning in elementary schools. 2) teachers' ability to utilize technology in mathematics learning. 3) the quality of wordwall-based learning in mathematics subjects in elementary schools. This type of research is a qualitative case study with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade students, homeroom teachers, and the principal's staff. Data analysis used inductive techniques, including data collection, data reduction, and writing conclusions. Data validity was tested using triangulation of techniques, sources, and time. The results obtained from this study are: 1) the application of technology-based mathematics learning in elementary schools. 2) Almost all teachers are able to utilize technology well. Some teachers have also implemented technology in the teaching and learning process, such as the use of animated videos and illustrated PowerPoints. 3) Wordwall-based learning has been proven to generate renewed enthusiasm for all students, as the quizzes presented are highly engaging and animated. If implemented routinely, wordwall-based learning will improve the quality of learning, particularly in mathematics. With the introduction of technology-based learning in elementary schools, it is hoped that the quality of learning will improve even further.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the effectiveness of the innovation of utilizing YouTube media as a learning tool to improve the skills of writing speech texts for class VII students of SMPN 1 Galis Pamekasan. This research method uses a qualitative approach with observation techniques to observe the learning process that integrates YouTube videos as the main media. The results of the study show that YouTube as a learning medium has a good impact on students' understanding of the structure and content of speech texts. This media is able to foster students' interest in learning and student activity during the learning process. In addition, the speech videos that are shown provide real examples that make it easier for students to compose speech texts systematically and creatively. The obstacles found include limited supporting facilities such as internet connections and multimedia devices, as well as differences in writing abilities between students who still need more intensive guidance from teachers. Overall, learning innovations using YouTube can be an effective alternative in the process of learning Indonesian, especially related to speech texts, with the note that there is adequate infrastructure support and teacher assistance. This study suggests that teachers continue to develop digital media-based learning strategies to improve the quality of learning in the current technological era.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mengevaluasi sejauh mana efektivitas inovasi pemanfaatan media YouTube sebagai sarana pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks pidato pada siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Galis Pamekasan. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi untuk mengamati proses pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan video YouTube sebagai media utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa YouTube sebagai media pembelajaran berdampak baik pada pemahamansiswa mengenai struktur dan isi teks pidato. Media ini mampu menumbuhkan minat siswa untuk belajar serta keaktifan siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Selain itu, video pidato yang ditayangkan memberikan contoh nyata yang memudahkan siswa dalam menyusun teks pidato secara sistematis dan kreatif. Kendala yang ditemukan meliputi keterbatasan fasilitas pendukung seperti koneksi internet dan perangkat multimedia, serta perbedaan kemampuan menulis antar siswa yang masih memerlukan bimbingan lebih intensif dari guru.Secara keseluruhan, inovasi pembelajaran menggunakan YouTube dapat dijadikan alternatif efektif dalam proses belajar Bahasa Indonesia, khususnya terkait teks pidato, dengan catatan adanya dukungan infrastruktur dan pendampingan guru yang memadai. Penelitian ini mengusulkan agar guru terus mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran berbasis media digital untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di era teknologi saat ini.

Abstract

Interest skills and learning outcomes are very important to improve the academic success of elementary school students. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of the Make a Match Model with the support of multimedia in increasing student interest and learning outcomes. The method used is a literature review study by collecting reference sources from relevant scientific research articles indexed in Google Scholar in the 2019-2025 period. The results of the study show that the application of the Make a Match model assisted by multimedia provides a responsive and enjoyable learning process, so that it can significantly increase students' interest in learning. This increase in interest has a good impact on student learning outcomes which also experience significant progress. The multimedia used is picture cards, and flipbooks that support the cooperative learning process. Thus, the integration of the Make a Match type cooperative learning model with multimedia is an effective and relevant approach to improving the interest and learning outcomes of elementary school students. Keterampilan minat dan hasil belajar sangat penting untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan akademik siswa sekolah dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis penerapan Model Make a Match dengan dukungan multimedia dalam meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kajian literatur dengan pengumpulan sumber referensi dari artikel penelitian ilmiah yang relevan dan terindeks di Google Scholar pada rentang tahun 2019-2025. Hasil kajian memperlihatkan bahwa penerapan model Make a Match berbantuan multimedia memberikan proses pembelajaran yang responsif dan menyenangkan, sehingga mampu meningkatkan minat belajar siswa secara signifikan. Peningkatan minat ini berdampak baik terhadap hasil belajar siswa yang juga mengalami kemajuan secara signifikan. Multimedia yang digunakan adalah kartu bergambar, dan flipbook yang mendukung proses pembelajaran kooperatif. Dengan demikian, integrasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match dengan multimedia menjadi pendekatan yang efektif dan relevan untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This type of research is quantitative. The population is all students at SD 02 Bengkulu City, totaling 358 students. Sampling was taken using the Probability Sampling technique, namely the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique of 20% so that a sample of 72 students was obtained. The instruments used were a student perception questionnaire about the adiwiyata program and a student environmental literacy questionnaire. The research instrument used a closed questionnaire using a Likert scale. The data analysis used is a prerequisite test using the normality test, correlation analysis, namely the variable significance test and the coefficient of determination test. The results of this research show that there is a significant relationship between student participation in student perceptions about the adiwiyata program and environmental literacy. These results are proven by the sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000, significance ≤ 0.05 with a Pearson correlation value of 0.434, a sign that the correlation coefficient is positive. The magnitude of the student participation variable in students' perceptions of the Adiwiyata program with an environmentally caring attitude is 45.1%.Permasalahan lingkungan saat ini telah menjadi topik yang kian mendesak, terutama karena tingkat kesadaran manusia dalam menjaga keberlanjutannya masih berada pada level yang perlu ditingkatkan. Berbagai faktor penyebab krisis lingkungan dapat ditelusuri dari perilaku manusia itu sendiri, di mana pola pikir yang materialistik, pandangan antroposentris, ketergantungan pada sains semata, gaya hidup yang berlebihan dalam konsumsi, serta kebijakan pembangunan yang cenderung mengabaikan aspek keberlanjutan lingkungan berkontribusi signifikan terhadap kondisi ini. Penelitian yang dilakukan bersifat kuantitatif, dengan populasi yang mencakup seluruh siswa di SD 02 Kota Bengkulu sebanyak 358 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Probability Sampling, khususnya Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling, yang menghasilkan 72 siswa sebagai sampel. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket yang mengukur persepsi siswa terhadap program adiwiyata dan literasi lingkungan, dengan menggunakan format angket tertutup dan skala Likert. Analisis data mencakup uji prasyarat normalitas, analisis korelasi, serta uji signifikansi variabel dan koefisien determinasi. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara partisipasi siswa dalam persepsi terhadap program adiwiyata dengan literasi lingkungan yang mereka miliki. Hasil ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang menunjukkan relevansi signifikan (≤0,05) serta nilai koefisien korelasi Pearson sebesar 0,434 yang mencerminkan hubungan positif antara kedua variabel. Dengan kata lain, sebesar 45,1% partisipasi peserta didik dalam persepsi siswa mengenai program adiwiyata berpengaruh terhadap sikap peduli lingkungan yang ditunjukkan oleh siswa.

Abstract

The accelerating digital transformation and shifts in industrial structures require vocational high school (VHS) teachers, particularly in the marketing field, to possess professional competencies that align with the evolving needs of the labor market. This study examines strategies for upskilling and reskilling VHS teachers through a systematic literature review guided by the PRISMA 2020 protocol. Eleven peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025 were thematically analyzed using the 5C Framework, which includes Content, Context, Commitment, Capacity, and Clients or Coalition. The synthesis reveals that the effectiveness of teachers’ professional development depends on the integration of industry- and technology-based training design (content and capacity), institutional support and personal motivation (context and commitment), and multi-stakeholder collaboration involving schools, industries, and teacher communities (clients or coalition). Overall, the enhancement of vocational teachers’ professional competence requires the development of a reflective, collaborative, and industry-oriented learning ecosystem that enables vocational education to adapt effectively to the digital era and the transition toward Industry 5.0.

Abstract

In the face of the digital era and shifting learning styles among younger generations, educators are expected to implement more engaging and relevant teaching strategies. Gamification, as an innovative learning approach, integrates game elements such as challenges, points, and rewards into learning activities in hopes of overcoming students’ boredom with conventional methods. This study aims to explore the implementation of gamification in Indonesian language learning and its impact on the motivation and academic outcomes of ninth-grade students at SMP Islam Terpadu Al Imron Sumenep. Employing a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and motivation questionnaires as supporting instruments. Data analysis involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to gain a comprehensive understanding of gamification practices in education. The findings reveal that gamification successfully creates a more enjoyable and participatory learning environment, increases student engagement, and fosters high learning motivation. The average student motivation score of 4.1 on a 5-point scale supports qualitative findings that indicate greater enthusiasm and activeness during lessons. Although generally effective, initial challenges were observed, particularly in students’ understanding of game rules and the need for teachers to adapt the material. Overall, gamification is considered an effective and promising teaching strategy that is creative and adaptable, not only for the Indonesian language subject but also for other disciplines.Dalam menghadapi era digital dan perubahan gaya belajar generasi muda, pendidik dituntut untuk menerapkan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan relevan. Gamifikasi sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran inovatif memadukan elemen permainan seperti tantangan, poin, dan penghargaan ke dalam aktivitas belajar, dengan harapan dapat mengatasi kejenuhan siswa terhadap metode konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan metode gamifikasi dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia serta dampaknya terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas IX di SMP Islam Terpadu Al Imron Sumenep. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, serta angket motivasi sebagai data  pelengkap. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam terhadap penerapan gamifikasi dalam pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gamifikasi mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menyenangkan dan partisipatif, meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif siswa, serta memunculkan motivasi belajar yang tinggi. Rata-rata skor motivasi siswa sebesar 4,1 dari skala 5 memperkuat temuan kualitatif yang menunjukkan peningkatan antusiasme dan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Meski secara umum berjalan efektif, tantangan tetap muncul pada tahap awal implementasi, terutama dalam hal pemahaman siswa terhadap aturan permainan dan penyesuaian materi oleh guru. Secara keseluruhan gamifikasi dinilai efektif dan layak dikembangkan lebih lanjut sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang kreatif dan adaptif, tidak hanya untuk Bahasa Indonesia tetapi juga untuk mata pelajaran lainnya.

Abstract

Education is an important character foundation in the development of students, especially at the Elementary School level, because it forms personality and moral values from an early age. This study aims to explore the relationship between parenting patterns and character formation and learning achievement of fourth grade Elementary School students. Using a literature study approach, data were collected and explained from various scientific journals, books, and relevant articles that discuss the influence of parenting patterns on character development and children's academic achievement. The analysis was carried out by reviewing the results of previous studies to identify general patterns and differences in the influence of each type of parenting pattern. The results showed that students who were raised with a democratic parenting pattern tended to have responsible, disciplined, and empathetic characters, which had a positive impact on academic achievement. In contrast, authoritarian and permissive parenting patterns showed obstacles in the formation of strong character and optimal academic achievement. This finding is the importance of the role of parents in supporting the development of children's character and academics through appropriate parenting patterns. Pendidikan karakter menjadi fondasi penting dalam pengembangan peserta didik, khususnya pada jenjang Sekolah Dasar, karena membentuk kepribadian dan nilai moral sejak dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan pembentukan karakter dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi literatur, data dikumpulkan dan dianalisis dari berbagai jurnal ilmiah, buku, serta artikel relevan yang membahas pengaruh pola asuh terhadap perkembangan karakter dan capaian akademik anak. Analisis dilakukan dengan mengkaji hasil-hasil penelitian sebelumnya untuk mengidentifikasi pola umum serta perbedaan pengaruh dari masing-masing tipe pola asuh orang tua. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang dibesarkan dengan pola asuh demokratis cenderung memiliki karakter bertanggung jawab, disiplin, dan empatik, yang berdampak positif terhadap prestasi akademik. Sebaliknya, pola asuh otoriter dan permisif menunjukkan hambatan dalam pembentukan karakter yang kuat dan capaian akademik optimal. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya peran orang tua dalam mendukung pengembangan karakter dan akademik anak melalui pola asuh yang tepat.
