Abstract

Language is an important component in everyday life. Through language, a person can communicate with other people, so that relationships between people can be well established. In addition, language can also show a person's personality and even a nation. Most members of society assume that people who are polite in language must have a good personality too, and vice versa. This study aims to improve reading aloud skills using image media. This study uses the spiral model PTK method from Kemmis and Taggart. From this research, the results show that students' reading aloud skills can improve with picture media.

Abstract

The study, entitled Efforts to Improve Understanding the Concept of the Benefits of Energy Sources through the Guided Discovery Learning Model of Elementary School Students in Class IV Semester 1 SD Negeri Sidasari 03 which aims to improve students' understanding of the concept of the benefits of energy sources with 11 research subjects consisting of 7 male students. male and 4 female students. This research was conducted because the students' conceptual understanding of the benefits of energy was still low. In cycle I, it shows that 3 students (60%) have completed, 2 students (40%) have not completed, and 6 students have not been able to take part in online evaluation activities. The research was continued in Cycle II with the results in cycle II showing 4 students (36%) who did not complete, 7 students (64%) of 11 students who did not complete. The use of the Guided Discovery Learning model can improve understanding of the concept of energy sources.

Abstract

This study aims to describe efforts to improve science learning achievement through the use of IT-based learning media (technology science) in grade IV students, to improve science learning achievement through the use of IT-based learning media (Technology Science) in grade IV SDN Karanggintung 07. This research uses based media. IT (Science of Technology) and consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were 18 grade IV students at SDN Karanggintung 07. Data collection techniques used observation sheets and written tests. The results of this study showed A significant increase was seen in the pre-cycle value of students who reached KKM only 50%, after cycle 1 increased to 55.55%, cycle II 66.66% and the peak in cycle III reached 83.33%. Thus the use of IT-based media (Technology Science) can improve the learning achievement of fourth grade students in science subjects animal and tumb God in my neighborhood.

Abstract

The purpose of learning history is to make students have historical thinking skills. To achieve historical thinking skills, students need to be equipped with capital to have historical awareness. One of the efforts to instill historical awareness can be done by learning field trip. Field trip implementation by inviting students to visit historical sites. Objects that are used as tourism objects are Hindu-Buddhist sites in Tulungagung. The site is in the form of ancient caves and temples. The purpose of this paper is to provide alternative conceptual ideas for history teachers to strengthen historical awareness through the field trip method. Through well-packaged learning activities, it can provide direct experience for participants to get closer to historical sites. From each site visited there is a story and a red thread will be found in the narrative of the relationship between history and the local context and national history. So that it will lead to an appreciation of the meaning and essence of history that is used for guidance in the present and future life.

Abstract

The Nawacita program framework, the Government of Indonesia is trying to improve the quality and equity of the national education system by increasing the education sector national budget to 500 trillion rupiah, and appointing the Chief Executive Officers (CEO) of the Gojek Internet Start-up company, in order to boost up the program outcome by using Information Technology (IT) as the main gap bridge in the education sectors. The unequal access to the education level in the formal, informal and non-formal education clusters is emphasizes if the education sectors problems is complex as the development problem. The government trying to tackling that problem by developing the suitable curriculum, and maximization of the use of IT in the education sectors to improve the quality and equity for the education. In this research, the correlation between the rapid development of education sectors and the impact to the national economy is analyzed by using the Solow models which said if the investment of human capital, including to the education sectors is one of the main bridge to achieve the status as advanced nation. This research is concluded if the formal education sector have direct and significant impact to the economic sector, then the informal and non-formal educations sectors act as supporting unit in order to achieve the quality and equity, in order to improve the education access.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to improve the skill of reading comprehension by applied Think Pair Share (TPS) model in disruption era for fifth grade students in SDN Purwotomo No. 97 Surakarta on academic year of 2017/2018. The form of this research was a Classroom Action Research which conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages i.e. planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research included teacher and 23 fifth grade students in SDN Purwotomo No. 97 Surakarta. The data collected by observation, interview, test, and documentation techniques. The data validity test were using content validity, triangulation of resource, and triangulation of technique. The result of this research shows the improvement of skill of reading comprehension values from pre-action, cycle I until cycle II.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Al-Barqy method to improve the ability to read Arabic braille on students with visual impairments in grade 2 at SDLB Putra Manunggal Gombong, Kebumen. This research is a classroom action research with 3 students of SDLB Putra Manunggal Gombong as the research subjects. This study consisted of 2 cycles that each cycle has 2 times of meetings. The utilized instruments were test sheet, interview sheet, and observation sheet. Triangulation techniques was used to validate the data. The results showed that: 1) the Al-Barqy method was effective in improving students ability to read Arabic braille letters that achieved a good category; 2) the understanding of read Arabic braille of SDLB students was increased through Al-Barqy method. They achieved an average value in the first cycle by number 70,22 with 66,67% learning completeness whereas in the second cycle was 77,56 with 100% learning completeness.

Abstract

The character of the nation is very important for the sustainability of the Indonesian nation's struggle to fill independence by carrying out national development. Value education, including Pancasila Education in tertiary institutions plays a strategic role in preparing nationals with character. Public policy in the field of higher education is a concrete manifestation of the state's function in educating the nation's life. This study aims to describe the role of higher education institutions in implementing the MKWU Pancasila Education policy for the development of national character. With the normative juridical method and literature study, it is known that the state / government has established a policy of inculcating the values of Pancasila by issuing several public policies in the field of higher education. Universities as policy institutions as well as university leaders and lecturers of MKWU Pancasila Education as policy actors play a major role in building student character as an integral part of the Indonesian nation. Students as policy targets can act as role models for successful implementation. The policy environment contributes to its survival and success. Higher education is faced with several challenges and problems in implementing the policy of planting Pancasila values. There is a policy substance that needs to be refined.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is that students can read simple words and sentences fluently and accurately through letter card games. The research conducted was a Classroom Action Research (PTK) in three cycles. The stages of each cycle are planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. Each meeting is carried out a pre test and post test to determine the progress of students. In the first cycle, the students who completed after carrying out the post test were 73.3%. In cycle II students who completed after carrying out the post test were 90%. These results indicate that reading fluently through the letter card game can improve student learning outcomes, especially Indonesian language muple at SDN 02 Kebagusan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the application of character-based interactive multimedia in learning to write short stories for primary school grade 6. The type of this research is qualitative descriptive. This study has verbal data, namely the results of recording character-based interactive multimedia implementation activities on learning to write short stories for primary school grade 6. Nonverbal data in this study is the value of the evaluation of students' short story writing skills. Subjects in this study were teachers and students of grade 6 primary school. This study uses data collection techniques, namely (a) observation, (b) interviews, and (c) tests, (d) documentation. The technique used to analyze data analysis data is interactive data analysis techniques. There are three stages (a) data reduction, (b) data presentation, and (c) conclusion. The application of character-based interactive multimedia has been implemented in accordance with the plans that have been made by the teacher as outlined in the Learning Implementation Plan. Based on the results of the evaluations that have been given, the short story writing skills of primary school grade 6 are good enough. This was seen in the average writing value of 78.3% of 15 students. There were 5 students who received a score of 70. There were 5 students who scored 80, while the other 5 students got a score of 85. Minimum completeness criteria for Indonesian language study were 75. It showed that there were 5 students who had not yet completed or 33.3%, while students who have completed there are 10 students or as much as 66.7%
