Abstract

Islamic educational institutions have an important role to play in leading students to success in the future. To achieve this goal, a clearly formulated vision, mission and objectives are needed and implemented with the right strategy. The leadership of school principals and stakeholders has a role to play in ensuring that the vision and mission are not just a slogan, but also realised in every aspect of education. However, reality shows that many schools face challenges in integrating the vision, mission and goals into educational programs due to the lack of systematic evaluation and weak understanding of stakeholders. This study uses the library research method by collecting and analysing reference sources, such as books, scientific journals, and relevant articles. The study was conducted through literature identification, critical review, and systematic analysis of previous findings. The results show that visionary leadership, structured evaluation, and active participation of all school elements are the main factors in the successful implementation of the vision and mission. Therefore, data-based decision-making strategies and continuous evaluation are needed to improve the effectiveness of education management.

Abstract

This study examines the reconstruction of character education based on the philosophy of prophetic education in the digital era, which serves as a new alternative in the field of education. The main challenge currently faced by the education sector is how to maintain a balance between technological advancement and the development of strong character. The implementation of character education grounded in the philosophy of prophetic education in the digital age is expected to produce a generation that is not only intelligent but also possesses strong moral character. This study employs a library research method. Library research is a data collection technique aimed at gathering information from written documents, both official records and other scholarly sources. Once the data is collected, it is processed by analyzing the existing information to address the research problem. The content analysis method is used to interpret ideas and identify their relevance to the issues being investigated. The results of this study indicate that the reconstruction of character education based on the philosophy of prophetic education in the digital era represents one of the innovative ideas to help the Indonesian education system evolve amidst the challenges of the digital age.

Abstract

The leadership of school principals plays a crucial role in the success of educational organizations, especially in facing the Society 5.0 era that integrates technological advancements with human values. Leadership transformation in this era demands school principals to become adaptive, visionary, and innovative change agents, capable of leveraging digital technology and developing an inclusive and collaborative school culture. This literature review identifies four main trends in the transformation of school leadership, namely the strengthening of digital leadership, the development of collaborative leadership, the integration of spiritual values, and the need for a contextual adaptive leadership model. The study results affirm that continuous professional development and policy support are key to the success of school principals in leading sustainable and relevant educational transformations in response to contemporary challenges. This transformation is not just an administrative change, but rather a holistic and humanistic paradigm shift in creating an adaptive and competitive education system.

Abstract

A culture of quality in the education environment, especially in primary schools, is a fundamental factor in improving the quality of learning and school management. One of the efforts to achieve this is through the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), which aims to ensure the fulfillment of educational standards on an ongoing basis. This study aims to analyze the strategic steps in building a culture of quality through the implementation of SPMI in primary schools. The literature research method was used to review various relevant literatures related to the concept of quality culture, SPMI policies, and best practices that have been implemented in various basic education institutions. The results show that the implementation of SPMI requires the commitment of all stakeholders, the establishment of a quality assurance team, thorough socialization, and the integration of the PPPEP cycle (Mapping, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation, and Control) in the learning process. In addition, strengthening the quality culture through habituation, teacher training, and active participation of the school community is the key to success. The conclusion of this study underscores the importance of commitment, synergy and innovation in building a quality and competitive education system.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the problem of traditionalism in teaching and the weak internalization of Islamic values in public schools, specifically at SMAN 10 Rejang Lebong. Using a qualitative approach involving observation, interviews, and questionnaires, the research found that Islamic Religious Education (IRE) classes remain dominated by passive lecture methods, limiting students’ active engagement. Islamic values are not yet systematically embedded within the school culture, and support from family and social environments is also minimal. The study integrates theories from Piaget, Vygotsky, Bronfenbrenner, and Mezirow’s Transformative Learning to interpret the findings. These results affirm previous research while introducing a new transformative learning model based on school culture integration. This research contributes a fresh perspective to Islamic education management in public schools and highlights limitations related to the scope and sample of the study.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the management methods used by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at SMKN 2 Bandar Lampung when implementing the values of religious moderation. The method of religious moderation emphasizes balance, tolerance, and an inclusive attitude in religious life. The researchers examined the role of PAI teachers as controllers in incorporating moderation values into the learning and school culture. They do this by using a qualitative case study approach. Observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews were used in the data collection process. The results show that PAI teachers at SMKN 2 Bandar Lampung use managerial strategies such as continuous value-based evaluation, internal teacher training, inclusive lesson planning, and cross-subject collaboration. Success is supported by the enhancement of the religious moderation curriculum, teacher training, and inclusive school policies. This research also applies a systems approach in educational management, considering the interaction between input, process, and output in moderate educational practices. The research results contribute to the development of contemporary Islamic education management theory and adaptive religious education policy practices. This research suggests that teachers should be strengthened with competency-based training and evaluation to implement the values of religious moderation in vocational schools.

Abstract

The problem of low teacher competence as reflected in the results of the Teacher Competency Test has a direct impact on the quality of learning. One of the factors that can influence the improvement of teacher performance is achievement motivation, which is influenced by the principal's leadership style. This study aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership on teacher achievement motivation through a systematic literature review approach. The method used is a literature review by analyzing articles from 2020-2025 obtained through Google Scholar and has gone through a peer-review process. The analysis was conducted using thematic synthesis on eleven articles that met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that transformational leadership characterized by idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual attention significantly boosted teachers' achievement motivation. This leadership strategy is proven to create a supportive work environment, motivate teachers to develop their competencies and increase dedication to professional duties. This study makes an important contribution to education management by confirming that the implementation of transformational leadership is key in promoting teacher quality and education as a whole.

Abstract

In an era of globalization, digitalization, and rapid organizational change, transformational leadership has emerged as an increasingly relevant and necessary leadership model. Transformational leadership emphasizes core values such as idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. These values directly contribute to the development of a dynamic, adaptive, and innovative organizational culture. Transformational leaders do not merely direct; they inspire and guide team members to exceed their performance limits through a compelling vision and ethical role modeling. This article explores in depth how transformational leadership values serve as key elements in enhancing productivity, employee loyalty, sustainable innovation, and in building trust and integrity within modern organizations. In an increasingly complex and multicultural work environment, transformational leaders are capable of aligning individual goals with the organization’s vision. Through a human-centered approach, they act as catalysts for change and reformers in contemporary organizational management. Therefore, the application of transformational leadership values is not only important but has become a strategic necessity for the sustainability and competitiveness of today’s organizations.
