Abstract

Teaching materials are a set of learning materials that is arranged systematically to provide a complete mapping (picture) related to the competencies that have been obtained by students in learning activities. The material presented allows students to acquire competencies consistently and systematically and to accumulate the acquired competencies in a complete and integrated manner. The function of teaching materials is to guide the teachers in all learning activites and represent the content of competencies that will be taught to students. The research method used is Research and Development, which is a process or steps to develop a new product or improve an existing product and can be accounted for. The development stages in this study were the Four-D development models which are consisted of 4 stages, namely: (1) the definition stage; (2) the design stage; (3) development stage; and (4) the dissemination stage. The purpose of this study was to determine the student's need for Integrated Social Studies learning which was then integrated with Adiwiyata values-based learning using media (local content) and an inquiry training approach to provide material wealth for students. The results obtained from the research are student responses to teaching modules based on Adiwiyata values are in the valid category with scores above 3 (75%) meaning that this teaching material is very interesting with the presentation of the material based on local content and is up-to-date.

Abstract

Abstrak: Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kurangnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran terbilang masih tinggi di Indonesia, sehingga dilakukan penelitian guna melihat pengaruh pemanfaatan media pembelajaran video animasi berbasis geospasial mengenai kemampuan berpikir kritis. Menggunakan metode quasy experiment dengan desain Pre-Post control group design, IPS 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan IPS 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas XI IPS di SMAN Pesanggaran Kabupaten Banyuwangi menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan penelitian bahwa media berpengaruh positif dengan perolehan sig. 0,003 0,05. Kesimpulannya media dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada sub materi mitigasi bencana tsunami. Kata Kunci: pembelajaran geografi; video animasi berbasis geospasial; mitigasi bencana tsunami; kemampuan berpikir kritis                                                                                 Abstract: The low level of critical thinking skills and the lack of utilization of learning media is still high in Indonesia, so research was conducted to determine the effect of utilization of geospatial-based animated video learning media on critical thinking skills. Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat memberikan kesempatan untuk melibatkan teknologi dalam pembelajaran sebagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Integrasi antara teknologi dan pembelajaran dapat diimplementasikan melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran yang inovatif. Salah satu kendala pembelajaran geografi adalah sulitnya penyampaian materi ketahanan pangan nasional secara kontekstual, sehingga membutuhkan adanya visualisasi materi nyata yang dikaji berdasarkan kondisi suatu wilayah melalui media VLOG. Pengembangan VLOG diharapkan dapat memberikan kesempatan bagi siswa untuk mempelajari kondisi ketahanan pangan di lingkungan sekitar melalui media yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menghasilkan VLOG ketahanan pangan berbasis urban farming dengan pendekatan kontekstual yang layak. Metode pada penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Uji validasi ahli menyatakan bahwa media VLOG layak dilanjutkan pada tahap uji coba kelayakan dengan syarat melakukan revisi kecil. Adapun tahap uji coba kelayakan media yang dilakukan oleh guru dan siswa SMAN 1 Geger Madiun menghasilkan nilai kelayakan sebesar 91,7% dan 86,2% yang menunjukkan bahwa media VLOG termasuk kriteria sangat layak dan dapat digunakan pada pembelajaran geografi tanpa revisi

Abstract

Collaborative learning based on the environment project as a differentiating model from the implementation of the curriculum of Merdeka. This study aims to obtain teacher perceptions before and after workshops on collaborative learning based on the environment project as a practice of implementing an curriculum of Merdeka in schools. Teacher perceptions are very important in increasing competency in facilitating differentiated learning of their students as 21st-century learners. This study uses an exploratory study through a qualitative approach. This research involved 19 teachers of social and exact sciences at SMAN 3 Sampang. The teachers cover the fields of Geography, Economics, Sociology, History, Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry. Teachers were as key informant. Data were collected from October 2022 using instruments developed. The data consisted of 17 questions about project-based collaborative learning as a strengthening implementation curriculum of Merdeka. Data collection was carried out through deep interviews, observation, and filling out questionnaires. The instruments used are based on indicators of collaborative learning based on the environment project and guidelines for implementing the curriculum of Merdeka made by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant increase in teachers' perceptions of collaborative learning based on the environment project as a strengthening implementation of the curriculum of Merdeka, which has increased from before and after participating in learning workshops. As many as 84% of teachers have mastered the flow of the project-based collaborative learning model and as many as 74% of teachers have understood the strengthening implementation of the curriculum of Merdeka. This indicates that there has been a significant change in the mastery and understanding of the exact and social teachers in applying the differentiated learning model as a form of strengthening implementation curriculum of Merdeka. In the future, it is necessary to continue training programs or workshops on the strengthening implementation of the curriculum of Merdeka with a focus on other indicators.

Abstract

Low critical thinking skills and lack of utilization of learning media are still high in Indonesia, so research was conducted to see the effect of utilizing geospatial-based animated video learning media on critical thinking skills. This research used quasy experiment method with Pretest-Postest control group design. The research subjects were 65 students of XI social studies class at SMAN Pesanggaran Banyuwangi Regency consisting of XI social studies class 1 as the experimental class with 35 students and XI social studies class 3 as the control class with 30 students. Determination of research subjects using purposive sampling technique.   Data collection using tests in the form of essay questions as an instrument of critical thinking skills. Independent Sample t-test conducted with SPSS 26.0 For Windows became the hypothesis test of this study. The results showed that the media had a positive effect with sig. 0,003 0,05. In conclusion, geospatial-based animated video media can improve students' critical thinking skills on tsunami disaster mitigation sub-materials.

Abstract

This study aims to develop android-based digital teaching materials in local history courses at the University of Riau. This Android-based local history teaching material integrates the character values of Sultan Syarif Kasim II which are in accordance with the needs of history education students. This development research uses a 4D model, developed by Thiagarajan, Dorothy S. Semmel, and Melvyn I. Semmel. This research model consists of 4 steps, namely: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The first step is to conduct a preliminary study with a qualitative descriptive approach. The second step is to design an android-based teaching material product. The third step is product printing, product validation by experts, feasibility trials, and product revisions. The fourth step is to disseminate the product so that it can be used as lecture material by students of history education in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau.

Abstract

Disaster awareness sangat penting dimiliki oleh siswa untuk mengurangi resiko bencana. Pada proses pembelajaran disaster awareness di sekolah pada umumnya masih belum optimal. Penelitian memiliki tujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh geoinformation web technology terhadap disaster awareness siswa sekolah dasar di sekitar Gunung Semeru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasy experiment menggunakan desain pretest posttest one group. Subjek pada penelitian terdiri dari 36 siswa kelas lima SDN Sumberwuluh 2. Pemilihan lokasi penelitian didasari karena merupakan salah satu sekolah dasar yang terdampak langsung erupsi Gunung Semeru. Penentuan subjek dilakukan dengan simple random sampling technique sesuai saran guru di sekolah. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Uji hipotesis penelitian dilakukan dengan Mann Whitney melalui nilai sig. 0,05. Uji hipotesis memperoleh nilai sig. 0,000 0,05. Menunjukkan adanya pengaruh geoinformation web technology terhadap disaster awareness yang didukung dengan perolehan nilai posttest lebih tinggi daripada nilai pretest. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa geoinformation web technology berpengaruh terhadap disaster awareness siswa di sekolah dasar sekitar Gunung Semeru.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is a flexible method that provides opportunities for students to learn according to their interests and needs. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing this method and its impact on social studies learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Parepare. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach. The population consisted of all 374 seventh grade students, while the sample was 68 students, 34 students each from the experimental class (VII.1) and control class (VII.2). Data were collected through observation, documentation, and tests, then analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and t-tests. The results showed that (1) differentiated learning was effective with an average N-Gain Score of 75.5% and (2) there was a significant increase in learning outcomes. The t value of 6.256 with df 66 and significance 0.001 (0.05) indicated that H0 was rejected. Thus, the application of this method has been proven to be able to improve the learning outcomes of seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Parepare.
