Abstract

This study examines the influence of entrepreneurial ethics and Buddhist leadership behavior on entrepreneurial spirit among undergraduate students in a Buddhist Business and Management program. The study aims to explore how value-based education contributes to the development of entrepreneurial readiness beyond cognitive knowledge. A quantitative approach with a survey design was employed in this study. The population consisted of all undergraduate students in the Buddhist Business and Management Program at STIAB Smaratungga. Because the population was relatively small, a total sampling technique was applied, resulting in 31 students as the research sample. Primary data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a Likert scale and were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 26. The results show that entrepreneurial ethics and Buddhist leadership behavior do not have significant effects when examined individually, but jointly have a significant effect on entrepreneurial spirit. This indicates that entrepreneurial development is not driven by isolated factors but emerges through the interaction of ethical values and leadership behavior within the educational environment. The study concludes that strengthening entrepreneurial spirit requires an integrative learning approach that connects ethical understanding, leadership values, and experiential practice. These findings provide important insights for developing value-based entrepreneurship education and improving educational strategies in cultivating responsible and resilient future entrepreneurs.

Abstract

This study examines how faith-based higher education institutions navigate the tension between academic autonomy and centralized ideological control within the Muhammadiyah higher education network. It employs a qualitative approach with a comparative case study design. Data consist of university statutes from four Muhammadiyah universities: Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya, and Universitas Pendidikan Muhammadiyah Sorong, as well as the central Internal Quality Audit (AMI) rubric. Data were collected through documentation, supported by interviews with university leaders and quality assurance units, as well as limited observations of governance practices. Data sources include both primary and secondary materials. Analysis was conducted using qualitative procedures involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal a hybrid governance configuration in which academic functions are decentralized to support flexibility, while strategic decision-making and resource control remain centrally coordinated. Three key dimensions emerge: constrained autonomy, dual meritocracy, and the bureaucratization of ideological values within quality assurance systems. These results indicate that institutional autonomy is structurally bounded by formalized ideological commitments. The study proposes a multi-polar governance model that integrates academic excellence with organizational identity, enabling coherence across a large and geographically dispersed higher education network.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the innovation of integrative digital infographic media in Islamic Religious Education and Science learning at the senior high school level. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data consisted of primary and secondary data obtained from Islamic Religious Education teachers, Science teachers, and students involved in digital media–based learning activities at SMAN 1 Pacitan and SMAN 2 Pacitan. Data sources included informants, learning activities, and relevant documents. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used an interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the use of integrative digital infographic media improves instructional clarity, facilitates the integration of Islamic values with scientific concepts, and enhances students’ engagement and learning motivation. In addition, this media supports students in developing a holistic understanding of the relationship between Islamic teachings and scientific phenomena. Although challenges were identified, such as limited teacher technical skills and time constraints in media development, the implementation of this innovation remains feasible and effective, even in non-metropolitan school contexts. In conclusion, integrative digital infographic media represent a relevant and effective instructional innovation in supporting meaningful and contextual learning. The significance of this study lies in its contribution to the development of integrative learning theory and its practical implications for educators and policymakers in advancing digital-based instructional innovation in secondary education.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the read-aloud method in improving the reading fluency of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 24 Ani Senabah, Sejangkung Subdistrict, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. The study employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design. The research subjects consisted of all 26 fourth-grade students selected through total sampling. Data were collected through pretest and posttest read-aloud performance assessments measuring three aspects of reading fluency: accuracy, fluency, and prosody. The instrument used a 1–4 scale rubric validated by two Indonesian language education experts and demonstrated good reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.82). The treatment was conducted in four learning sessions involving teacher modeling, student read-aloud practice, and corrective feedback. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, paired sample t-test, and Cohen’s d effect size analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. The results showed an increase in the mean score from 58.60 to 78.60 after the intervention, with a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.05). The findings indicate that the read-aloud method is effective in improving students’ reading fluency and can serve as an alternative instructional strategy to strengthen elementary students’ literacy skills, particularly in prosodic reading aspects that support overall reading comprehension.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of a love-based curriculum in strengthening students’ Islamic character at MTs Negeri 5 Kebumen. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Primary data were obtained directly from key informants, namely the head of the madrasah, the vice principal for curriculum, and teachers at MTs Negeri 5 Kebumen, while secondary data were collected from official documents and relevant literature. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The researcher conducted a critical analysis by engaging relevant theories and comparing the findings with related studies. The results indicate that the implementation of love-based curriculum management is carried out through four stages: planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning stage, Pancacinta values are integrated into the vision, mission, learning programs, and instructional tools. The organizing stage is conducted through the distribution of teachers’ duties, management of learning schedules, and provision of supportive facilities. The implementation stage is realized through religious habituation programs at the madrasah level and humanistic learning at the classroom level. Meanwhile, the evaluation stage is carried out through formative and summative assessments covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This study finds that the love-based curriculum makes a significant contribution to shaping students’ Islamic character through the integration of compassion values throughout the educational process.
