Abstract

This study on the implementation of dance education in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum for Grade 4 at SDN Gedongan 01 is studied from the perspective of holistic arts education. The main thing studied is the integration of the implementation of holistic arts education within the framework of the new curriculum. This study aims to describe dance arts learning in improving students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills. Using a qualitative case study methodology, data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis involving dance educators and Grade 4 students. Based on the study, it was found that a holistic approach to dance education contributed significantly to students' physical alignment, strength, balance, and self-control, which is in line with the principle of holistic education that integrates mind, body, and soul. This approach not only improves dance movement skills but also improves students' self-confidence, cooperation, and communication skills, which provides a strong model for arts education in elementary schools. The implications of this study are to provide important information for teachers in terms of the benefits of holistic arts education for student development. The researcher's suggestion is that holistic arts education can be further integrated into further efforts by the school.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the steps in implementing the cooperative learning model of the Make A Match type assisted by lidimatika media to improve multiplication skills, as well as to enhance multiplication skills through the application of this model among third-grade students at SDN Dukuhan Kerten. The research subjects were the teacher and third-grade students of SDN Dukuhan Kerten. The data collected consisted of both qualitative and quantitative data. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. Data validation was carried out through source and technique triangulation. Data analysis involved several stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the implementation of the Make A Match cooperative learning model assisted by lidimatika media led to improvements in each cycle. The percentage of lesson implementation by the teacher increased from 79.58% to 90.83%, while student participation increased from 73.86% to 86.36%. The students’ multiplication calculation test scores also improved from 79.95% in the first cycle to 89% in the second cycle.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of using interactive presentations with the Canva application on students' mathematics learning outcomes. This research employs a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design, specifically the pretest-posttest control group format. The study involved fourth-grade students from elementary schools within Cluster 1 of Serengan District, selected through a cluster random sampling method. To collect the data, researchers used a multiple-choice test aimed at assessing students’ achievement in mathematics. An independent samples t-test was used to analyze the data. The results demonstrated a statistically significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental group who were taught using interactive presentations with the Canva application and the control group who were instructed using image-based media. The experimental group scored an average posttest score of 76.52, while the control group scored 63.10, with a significance value of p < 0.001. In summary, the implementation of interactive presentations with the Canva application has a significant influence on elementary school students’ mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di sekolah memainkan peran penting  dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan memecahkan masalah siswa, khususnya melalui penyelesaian soal cerita yang berkaitan dengan konteks kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, siswa sering mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami dan menyelesaikan soal cerita geometri karena keterbatasan media pembelajaran dan pendekatan pembelajaran yang kurang interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Lectora Geomath untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas empat sekolah dasar dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita geometri, khususnya pada topik komposisi dan dekomposisi bangun datar menggunakan tangram digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) yang terdiri dari tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, dan implementasi terbatas. Media yang dikembangkan mengintegrasikan fitur interaktif, representasi visual, dan masalah kontekstual untuk mendukung siswa dalam memahami konsep geometri dan menyelesaikan soal cerita secara sistematis. Kelayakan media dievaluasi melalui validasi ahli, sedangkan kepraktisannya ditentukan dari kuesioner tanggapan guru dan siswa. Analisis efektivitas awal dilakukan melalui uji coba skala terbatas menggunakan hasil pretest dan posttest siswa. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa media Lectora Geomath yang dikembangkan secara valid dan praktis untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penerapannya juga menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami situasi masalah, menentukan strategi solusi yang tepat, dan melakukan perhitungan dalam soal cerita geometri. Desain media interaktif dan visual ini membantu siswa menghubungkan konsep geometri abstrak dengan konteks kehidupan nyata. Oleh karena itu, media pembelajaran Lectora Geomath berpotensi mendukung pembelajaran matematika dan meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dalam geometri di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the computational thinking method on the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 050674 Bingai. The form of this research is a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent control group design. The data collection technique is a measurement technique and the data collection tool is a test in the form of an essay test. Pre-test data were analyzed using the t-test after meeting the homogeneity and normality tests. The results showed that the initial abilities of students in both classes (experimental and control) did not show a significant difference, with the same average pretest value, which was 6.66. This shows that the initial conditions of students were relatively equal before being given different treatments. After being given treatment, there was a significant increase in critical thinking skills in the experimental class using the Computational Thinking method, with an average posttest value of 82.93, while the control class using the conventional learning model only reached 50.27. The results of the ANOVA test showed that there was a significant influence of the use of the Computational Thinking method on students' critical thinking skills. The significance value (0.000) is smaller than the significance level (0.05) and the Fcount value of 195.226 is far greater than Ftable (2.90), which means that H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Computational Thinking method has a significant and positive effect on improving students' critical thinking skills in science learning. This study strengthens the evidence that learning methods that emphasize systematic thinking such as Computational Thinking are effective in improving students' critical thinking skills, involvement, and learning motivation, especially in the context of learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Kemampuan reflektif guru merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang memengaruhi kualitas pembelajaran. Guru yang mampu merefleksikan praktik mengajarnya secara kritis dan konstruktif cenderung mampu melakukan perbaikan berkelanjutan terhadap strategi, metode, dan pendekatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan reflektif guru dengan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel terdiri dari 10 guru sekolah dasar yang dipilih secara purposive. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket kemampuan reflektif dan observasi kualitas pembelajaran. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kemampuan reflektif guru dan kualitas pembelajaran (r = 0,715, p < 0,020). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi kemampuan reflektif guru, semakin tinggi pula kualitas pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pelatihan dan pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan yang menumbuhkan kemampuan reflektif guru dalam praktik mengajar.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to 1) describe how implementation of problem based learning model with digital media on mathematics study. Also, the purpose of this research is to 2) determine the differences between cognitive learning outcomes which taught using digital media-assisted problem based learning model and digital media-assisted guided inquiry model. This research used an experimental approach by pretest-posttest control group design. The population were students of fifth-grade elementary school in academic year 2023/2024 at Banjarsari District, Surakarta City. The sample was taken in the manner of cluster random sampling technique. Data collection technique were using tests and observation. Based on analysis data, it can conclude that 1) teachers taught problem based learning model with digital media-assisted on mathematics study appropriate on the syntax, 2) mathematics cognitive learning outcomes of students which taught with problem based learning model get better outcomes than guided inquiry model in measurment area and volume topics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the OCAR (Orientation, Challenge, Apply, Review) learning model on the ability to write environmental poetry of fifth-grade elementary school students. The method used is an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class using the OCAR learning model and the control class using the CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) learning model. Data were collected through poetry writing tests and observations of the implementation of learning. The results showed that there was a significant increase in poetry writing ability in the experimental class compared to the control class. The average posttest score of the experimental class reached 82.15, while the control class was 72.52. The t-test produced a t-value of 3.650 > t-table 2.007, which means there is a significant difference between the two classes. The increase in students' abilities is seen in the indicators of message, diction, style, typography, and title. However, the theme indicator experienced a decline. These findings indicate that the OCAR learning model is effective in improving poetry writing skills while forming students' environmental awareness.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the form of error in the conclusion of the mathematical story of scale matter experienced by students based on Newman's theory, (2) describe factors causing the occurrence of error. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study research design. Subjects in this study were fifth grade students at Tegalsari elementary school. Data collection techniques using written test results and interviews. Data validity testing techniques using triangulation techniques and sources. Data analysis techniques using Miles and Huberman analysis, consist of (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, and (4) conclusion drawings. Most mistakes were found in the writing of the conclusion with a presentation of 31.5%. Then the error of understanding was found at 30.5%, error of process skills at 20%, and error of reading at 10.5%. While the transformation error was the least mistake experienced by the students with the presentation of 7.4%. The factors that cause the mistakes are the understanding of the student related to the material, the understanding the student of the story and the severity of the learner in solve the story, and the training of the teacher about the story.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to improve the understanding of students through the application of the Quantum Learning model on the material of socio-cultural changes in the lives of people in class VI SD Negeri Lemahbang, Teter, Simo, Boyolali. This research was conducted in the 2023/2024 school year. The research approach uses a qualitative approach with Classroom Action Research (CAR) methods.The subjects of this study were 15 students in class VI, and a teacher at grade VI SD Negeri Lemahbang. This research used observation techniques, test interviews and documentation. Data analysis adopts data analysis proposed by Miles and Huberman which has three main components, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the application of the Quantum Learning model with learning syntax grow; natural; name; demonstrate; repeat and celebrate showed an increase in students' understanding in each cycle. This is evidenced in the preaction activity of 13.33%, cycle 1 of 46.67% and cycle 3 of 86.67%.
