Abstract

Adolescent nutrition remains a major public health concern in Indonesia, with issues such as anemia, undernutrition, and obesity often linked to limited dietary knowledge. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of nutrition education on the knowledge level of high school students. A total of 325 students from SMAN 1 Margahayu, Bandung Regency, participated in a pre-test and post-test using a 12-item multiple-choice questionnaire assessing basic nutrition concepts, nutrient functions, and balanced diet principles. The results showed that in the pre-test, 83.08% of students demonstrated good knowledge, 13.23% were categorized as fair, and 3.69% as poor. Following the nutrition education intervention, the proportion of students with good knowledge increased to 91.78%, while those in the fair category decreased to 8.22% and none remained in the poor category. These findings indicate that nutrition education was effective in improving students’ knowledge and highlight the importance of school-based nutrition programs to strengthen adolescent awareness and understanding of balanced nutrition.

Abstract

Garunggung Islamic Boarding School in Karawang faces significant challenges in providing access to the study of Nahwu and Sharaf for visually impaired students due to the absence of classical Islamic texts in Braille format. Situation analysis revealed limited learning materials, lack of teacher training, and low student independence as the main problems. A community service program introducing the Jurumiyah Braille Module was implemented by producing the Jurumiyah text in Braille, training teachers in inclusive teaching methods, and providing supporting technology such as Braille printers. The results show improved literacy in Nahwu and Sharaf, increased student independence, and enhanced teacher capacity in Braille-based instruction. This program demonstrates that combining technological innovation, teacher training, and mentoring can create inclusive and equitable religious education for visually impaired students in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

The issue of waste management in Jatinangor, Sumedang, has increased rapidly following the trends of urbanization and consumption, while conventional management capacity has become increasingly limited. This PKM program aims to strengthen community literacy, adopt a digital-based waste bank, and encourage the formation of multi-party cooperatives to manage waste in an accountable and sustainable manner. The methods used include socialization, practical training, digital application implementation, mentoring, and impact evaluation with a participatory community approach. The training results showed an increase in understanding, the formation of waste bank management groups, and the development of a digital financial recording system, which has the potential to be replicated in other villages. In conclusion, community synergy, technological innovation, and multi-stakeholder cooperatives are effective in building a modern and inclusive waste management system, as well as supporting the circular economy and the achievement of SDGs.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) in Sumberejo Village, Wonosobo, emphasized the great potential of coconut fiber, which has long been underutilized. Although the village is known as a center for coconut sugar production, the leftover fiber is often simply piled up or burned, leading to environmental problems. Through this observation, efforts were made to transform coconut fiber into cocopeat, an environmentally friendly growing medium. The research process included a comparative analysis of planting media, interviews, field observations, and workshops. The findings showed that the community responded positively to the production of cocopeat. According to trials conducted on mustard greens and cucumbers, cocopeat was found to support better plant growth than pure soil. This improvement is supported by cocopeat’s strong capacity for water retention, its ability to ensure efficient air circulation, and its balanced nutrient composition. Along with enhancing agricultural productivity, this innovation also opens avenues for new community-driven enterprises. Therefore, converting coconut fiber into cocopeat not only contributes to addressing environmental challenges but also plays a vital role in building a stronger and more sustainable village economy.

Abstract

The Bojong Rangkas Go Digital program was implemented as a community empowerment initiative for bag craftsmen SMEs in Bojong Rangkas Village, Ciampea District, Bogor Regency, who face limitations in digital marketing. Although these SMEs have stable production capacity, most still rely on conventional sales methods due to low digital literacy and the absence of strong brand identity strategies. To address these challenges, the program adopted a participatory approach through digital literacy training, the development of SME persona strategies, and the utilization of User Generated Content (UGC) by the local community. The activities were conducted in September 2025, involving 18 SME partners, students as facilitators, and local communities as digital content supporters. The results showed significant improvement in the use of social media as a promotional tool, with all SMEs successfully creating or optimizing their business accounts. The craftsmen were also able to produce simple product photos and videos, and compose promotional narratives aligned with their brand identities. Furthermore, the involvement of the local community in generating UGC expanded the marketing reach and increased consumer engagement. In conclusion, the combination of digital literacy, SME persona strategies, and UGC proved effective in strengthening the competitiveness of Bojong Rangkas bag SMEs. This program not only enhanced the technical skills of craftsmen but also fostered the creation of a sustainable community-based digital marketing ecosystem.

Abstract

Waste management and environmental health remain major challenges in Leuweungkolot Village, potentially hindering the achievement of sustainable development. The situational analysis revealed that most residents lack awareness and skills in waste segregation and environmental health practices. This condition has led to household waste accumulation, low hygienic behavior, and limited institutional capacity at the village level to address environmental issues. The proposed solution through the Walinghealth program includes education, community mentoring, and the establishment of local groups focusing on waste management, recycling, and participatory-based health improvement. The program is integrated with institutional strengthening at the village level to ensure long-term sustainability. The implementation results show increased community awareness, the formation of local environmental groups, and the availability of a simple waste management system at the village level. Thus, the integration of the Walinghealth program provides tangible impacts for the community and supports the achievement of sustainable development goals at the village scale.

Abstract

The phenomenon of workplace bullying, particularly in the health or medical field, presents an irony. A profession that should be synonymous with empathy, care, and respect for human values has instead become a place with high levels of abusive behavior in various countries. This study aims to uncover the empathy paradox in the healthcare profession by analyzing the causes, forms, and impacts of bullying, while also offering a conceptual basis for systemic prevention strategies. This study uses qualitative methods with a literature review to explore the dynamics of the empathy paradox. The results show that bullying does not only arise because someone fails to manage their emotions, but also occurs because there is a system that allows for abusive and oppressive behavior. The most effective solution to overcome this problem is to create policies that do not tolerate bullying at all, strengthen a secure reporting system, implement empathetic leadership, and reform a healthy work culture. These steps are crucial to ensure that empathy is truly implemented, not only in the relationship between healthcare workers and patients but also in interactions among healthcare professionals

Abstract

Bogor, West Java, known as a region with high rainfall, has a number of distinctive culinary delights and diverse tourist destinations. In line with the development of MSMEs that continues to increase every year as a business entity that supports the National GDP by 60.5% and absorbs the workforce by 90.6%; an increasingly diverse range of processed food products are emerging. Food and beverage products as MSME products are currently increasing. Strengthening MSMEs through the downstreaming of the Bogor passion fruit syrup industry to improve community welfare is the theme of the community service grant program which is the 5th goal of Asta Cita. The community service process begins through team discussions with village governments, youth organizations, MSME groups and women's farmer groups. Digitalization, which is the main factor inhibiting MSME sales, in addition to Cost, Volume, Profit analysis in business management, is addressed through training in management and information technology. Supporting the development of digitalization, the results of this community service have produced outputs through the creation of a Google Sites site, a mock-up representing Bogor passion fruit syrup, and social media accounts. The PKM (Community Partnership Empowerment) grant has been provided as output in the form of passion fruit tree seeds, planting media, and fertilizer to reduce costs, increase syrup production volume and increase profits.
