Abstract

This activity aims to analyze the teacher's impression of the teacher competency improvement program in developing ICT-based teaching materials in dealing with the pandemic that has been implemented. This research is a Participatory Action Research (PAR) study with a qualitative descriptive approach. Participants who took part in the service program consisted of 25 teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Tembilahan. Data were obtained through questionnaires and descriptive analysis using SPSS version 26 for windows. The service program assessment consists of 3 constructs in which the results of the material constructs are obtained an average of 4.19 with good categories, the material delivery constructs are obtained an average of 4.36 with good categories and discussions/questions and answers obtained an average of 3.07 with good categories. So it can be concluded that the teacher competency improvement program in developing ICT-based teaching materials in dealing with the pandemic has a good impression on the participants.

Abstract

This training was conducted at the Sang Timur Boys' Dormitory in the city of Yogyakarta. This activity aims to increase the knowledge, insight, and skills of residents and hostel administrators in vertical care, and also assist government programs in adapting new habits by reducing outdoor activities and increasing food security in urban areas. The methods used at the time of implementation included socialization, mentoring in planting vegetable seeds (water spinach and mustard greens), training in the manufacture of liquid fertilizer, and provision of lettuce, spinach, and water spinach seeds for the next planting period. The result of the activity is that the vertical installations owned by the hostel can be managed and utilized properly. In addition, the residents and administrators of the hostel gain knowledge, insight, and skills in plant care in verticulture techniques and the manufacture of liquid fertilizer that can be used on their plants.

Abstract

The Mandeh area is currently one of the tourist destinations that has beautiful scenery and its own uniqueness for tourists both from within and outside the country. The Mandeh area, which has these unique qualities, if not preserved and managed properly, will become extinct in the future. In order to promote tourism in the Mandeh area, especially the Nagari Sungai Nyalo, the service team carried out service activities in Nagari Sungai Nyalo as a Literacy Village to create sustainable tourism. So far, the children of Sungai Nyalo are classified as marginalized children. The purpose of this activity is to (1) provide literacy education to children in the Nyalo River village, (2) make the Nyalo River village as one of the areas in the Mandeh area into a sustainable tourism area. The method used in this activity is the social intervention method, which can be interpreted as a way or strategy in providing assistance to the community (individuals, groups, communities) to improve one's welfare through efforts to re-enable social functions. The results of this activity are (1) increasing children's interest in reading and literacy, (2) increasing children's confidence to be able to guide tourists visiting their villages.

Abstract

The objectives of the Community Services (PKM) in Nagari Barung Barung Belantai, Koto XI Tarusan District, Pesisir Selatan Regency are: (1) to increase knowledge of legal and human rights to the community and the Nagari government especially land issues and other civil cases. (2) to improve the quality of the skills of the community and the Nagari government to understand the flow of reporters/complaints and the operational resolution of cases of violations of human rights law in accordance with applicable procedures, and (3) to improve the capabilities and skills of the community and the Nagari government how to complain and where they complain the violations of human right. The method used is counselling, consultation, and case resolution according to the conditions faced and equipped with a reflective communicative method. The results achieved were that 85% of the participants had the knowledge, skills and attitudes towards legal and human rights settlements, especially in resolving cases of communal, tribal, and communal land and other legal cases.

Abstract

A dialogue with the community and the government of the Batipuah Baruah village was held to see the problems faced by the community today. In addition to ensuring that community service is participatory, this is also to ensure that the solutions offered are targeted. From this dialogue, found the problem on economic and socio-cultural sector. On economic sector, hidden unemployment with productive age is still found, while the use of online platforms in carrying out and developing economic activities by the Batipuah Baruah village youth is also still lacking. On socio-cultural issues, there are still non-optimal use of media (information and communication technology), in this case new media (websites, social media, and/or other online media). Utilization of information technology is a necessity today to answer these problems. Through situation analysis, the service program that is carried out is media content production training. Program implementation methods and approaches are training with pre-program, planning, production, and distribution, also post-program stages. Through this activity, it is possible to increase the ability of youth in Batipuah Baruah's Karang Taruna Nagari in planning, implementing and distributing content by producing 28 contents in the form of photos, videos and texts that are part of citizen journalism activities.

Abstract

The team ensures that the program is participatory and on target by dialogue with the community and Nagari Batipuah Baruah government. From this dialogue found the essential issues related to public information disclosure. Among them, the understanding of the Nagari Batipuah Baruah apparatus regarding Information Commission Regulation No. 1 of 2018 concerning Village Public Information Service Standards that have not been developed; also, the capacity of the Nagari government apparatus that has not been fully trained to enter and update information and data on the Nagari official website. The solution to this problem is to carry out activities facilitated with assistance directly involving the Nagari Batipuah Baruah government and other related parties. This community service program aims to increase the knowledge, understanding, and ability of the Nagari Batipuah Baruah government to implement village public information services and optimize digital platforms so that public information disclosure can be achieved. The method of implementing the activities is socialization, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and training entirely run offline by complying with health protocols. After all the methods were implemented, the Nagari Batipuah Baruah government apparatus received a positive response from the Musyawarah Kerja Sekretaris Nagari (MKSN), which responded to the issue of public information disclosure by holding a meeting with the Nagari Secretary throughout the Tanah Datar Regency. In addition, the problem with the Nagari Batipuah Baruah website, which previously did not appear on the Google search page, had to be searched manually by typing www.batipuahbaruah.web.id has also been resolved through this service program.

Abstract

Food security is a condition of sufficient food availability, not only the availability of food at the regional level but also at household and individual levels to maintain nutrition. During the COVID-19 pandemic, people must be able to maintain their health by fulfilling the nutrients needed. Nutrients contained in food need to be maintained by good food processing. By having good knowledge of food processing, partners are expected to be able to provide good nutrition for all family members. This COVID-19 pandemic, the community is not only experiencing difficulties in the health sector but also experiencing difficulties in the economic field, with the holding of assistance in food management and security, the community will be equipped with knowledge on how to maintain food security by cultivating freshwater fish. Partners of this program are families who have been accompanied by medical students in the COME 1000 HAK Program with a total of 10 families. Each KK is accompanied by one student. This community service team provided assistance in the form of tarpaulin ponds, freshwater fish seeds and fish feed. In this service, the team collaborates with teams from Fishery Study Program, as resource persons on how to keep good fish to get optimal results. With this program, it is hoped that the community will have food security and process it properly which can meet the nutritional needs of the family.

Abstract

Learning competence as an indicator of learning process achievement must be supported by appropriate learning media. There is little innovation in the development of geography learning media, and geography teachers' use of technology is still limited and ineffective. Making Augmented Reality-based learning media is one option for achieving the desired competencies. Geo-Augmented Reality technology is developed in stages, including the study of Prototype design theory, sketching out the Prototype, and continuing with the prototyping process. The Prototype is then used in conjunction with offline learning designs to provide a detailed model of field conditions for Geo-Augmented Reality media. Implementing this media-based learning is critical in order to meet the predetermined indicators of achievement of the geography learning process.

Abstract

Nagari Kampung Baru Korong nan Ampek (KBKA) Koto XI Tarusan District, Pesisir Selatan Regency has a high risk of natural disaster threats, namely earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides and floods. Meanwhile, Nagari KBKA is a potential village as one of the producers of Gambir in West Sumatra. The high threat of disaster risk and the impact of disasters on community activities, including economic activities, need serious attention. Many disaster mitigation education programs have been carried out, but have not touched on the empowerment of the KBKA natural local potential and the KBKA social system. This Community Service activity aims to strengthen community resilience to disasters by optimizing the existing natural resources and human resources in Nagari KBKA. This activity is carried out in 3 stages in the time span of July - November 2021 involving students, teachers, youth groups and housewives. The forms of activity consist of 1) Socialization on the potential, characteristics, symptoms and risks of disasters in coastal, hilly and mountainous areas and the importance of preparedness aspects, 2) Training to identify and utilize various social capital owned by the KBKA community, 3) Training to identify plants/vegetation potential in a disaster emergency period for preventing disasters, medicinal plants and alternative food), 4) Training to understand natural phenomena and changes in animal behavior before a disaster occurs, 5) Workshop on processing waste into ecoenzymes and 6) Planting Bungur Trees to reduce the risk of erosion in watersheds . The results of the activity show 1) an increase in the knowledge of students and teachers about natural phenomena, animal behavior, and potential disaster prevention plants, 2) an increase in the enthusiasm of the community for disaster preparedness, and 3) the acquisition of disaster prevention skills through waste processing into ecoenzymes.

Abstract

Hypercholeleolemia or dyslipidemia triggers free radical formation and atherosclerosis associated with heart disease, the highest cause of death in Indonesia. Hypercholesterolemia is caused by overeating, obesity, diabetes mellitus (DM) tipe-2, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, stress cancer, genetics, alcohol, the elderly, lack of activity, vegetables and fruits. Atherosclerosis triggers the formation of Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme 2 (ACE-2) which is a receptor for the entry of coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in the lungs, which needs to be anticipated during the Covid 19 pandemic. Receptor-bound viruses can disrupt the respiratory system and death. Dietary omega 3 from fish or supplements serves as an anti-hypercholesterolemia, anti-inflammatory, anti-hyperglycemic, and anti-thrombotic. The purpose is the empowerment of omega-3 diet as anti-hypercholesterolemia in UPNVJ Medical students during the Covid 19 pandemic. The method used, determining body mass index (BMI) and assessing diet and physical activity using a food frequency questionnaire. As a result, the provision of omega-3 dietary knowledge in 147 FK UPN students who attended through multimedia PPT online, obtained a body mass index (BMI) above normal 35 respondents, with overweight 60% and obesity 40%. Results from the frequency food questionnaire showed a high-carbohydrate diet of 98%, fish consumption of 2.63%, omega 3 supplements of 10.52%, aerobic physical activity of 17.14%, of sleep and play mobile phones of 100%, of vegetables 5.71% and of the fruit of 17.14%. The formation of hypercholesterolemia occurs in a diet high in carbohydrates, saturated lipids, low in omega 3 diet, vegetables, and physical activity. The empowerment of an omega 3 diet can inhibit hypercholesterolemia which is good for health.
