Abstract

LEARN EARTH ROTATION AND REVOLUTION: DEVELOPMENT OFGEOROTATION MEDIA FOR LEARNING DIGITAL GEOGRAPHY Learning media is an intermediary in the delivery of information through various channels. Theinformation conveyed can provide stimulation to students both in terms of thoughts, to the will thatcan improve the learning process. The use of learning media in geography can help studentsdescribe, describe, or describe things that are abstract and difficult to understand. Thisdevelopment research aims to develop a learning media in the form of applications that can beaccessed on smartphones. This development research method uses ADDIE (Analyze, Design,Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The types of data in this development research arequalitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data were obtained from criticism andsuggestions from expert validators and trial respondents. Quantitative data in this developmentresearch is in the form of numerical scores in the questionnaire obtained from expert validatorsand trial respondents. The Georotation in this study has been tested on 36 students of class X-DSMAN 2 Probolinggo. The results of research on the development of Georotation media obtaineda percentage of 98 percent of media expert validators, 77 percent of material expert validators,97 percent of teacher responses, 83 percent of student responses as test subjects. Thus theresults show that the development of Georotation very suitable for use in learning geography. Media pembelajaran sebagai perantara untuk merangsang kemampuan berpikir peserta didikdalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuikelayakan media pembelajaran Georotation yang dikembangkan untuk pembelajaran geografi.Desain penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan ADD (Analyze, Design, Development),merupakan bentuk modifikasi desain penelitian ADDIE. Jenis data dalam penelitianpengembangan ini yaitu data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari kritik dansaran oleh validator media, validator materi, dan responden uji coba. Data kuantitatif dalampenelitian pengembangan ini berupa skor angka dalam angket yang diperoleh dari validatormateri, validator media, dan responden uji coba. Produk Georotation pada penelitian ini telah diujicobakan kepada siswa kelas X-D SMAN 2 Probolinggo sejumlah 36 peserta didik. Hasil penelitianpengembangan Media Georotation memperoleh persentase 98 persen dari validator ahli media,77 persen dari validator ahli materi, 97 persen dari tanggapan guru, 83 persen dari tanggapanpeserta didik sebagai subjek uji coba. Dengan demikian hasil menunjukkan, bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran Georotation sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajarangeografi.

Abstract

Stakeholders' role in PKPU Regulation No. 7 of 2024 concerning the compilation of the voter list in East Java This study explores the involvement of various stakeholders in updating voter data for the 2024 election in East Java. It aims to identify the stakeholders, understand their roles, and uncover factors that support or hinder the process. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed qualitatively. The findings reveal three main points. First, stakeholders fall into three categories: primary (voters and political participants), secondary (Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights), and key (General Election Commission and Election Supervisory Board of East Java). Second, their roles are grouped as key players (election administrators), context setters (population-related institutions), subjects (eligible voters), and the crowd (general public). Third, the process benefits from institutional collaboration and local government support, while the main obstacle is limited inter-agency data sharing, hindering efforts to refine and validate the voter list. Penelitian ini mengkaji keterlibatan berbagai stakeholder dalam pemutakhiran data pemilih untuk Pemilu 2024 di Jawa Timur. Tujuan utamanya adalah mengidentifikasi stakeholder, memahami peran mereka, serta mengungkap faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam proses tersebut. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga hal utama. Pertama, stakeholder terbagi menjadi tiga kategori: primer (pemilih dan peserta Pemilu), sekunder (Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Hukum dan HAM), dan kunci (KPU dan Bawaslu Provinsi Jawa Timur). Kedua, peran mereka dikelompokkan menjadi key players (penyelenggara Pemilu), context setters (lembaga terkait data kependudukan), subjects (pemilih yang memenuhi syarat), dan crowd (masyarakat umum). Ketiga, proses ini didukung oleh kerja sama antarlembaga dan dukungan pemerintah daerah, namun masih terhambat oleh terbatasnya pertukaran data antarinstansi yang menghambat penyempurnaan daftar pemilih.

Abstract

Strategic communication of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) in realizing a world geothermal centre of excellence This research aims to explore the strategic communication implemented by PGE in its pursuit to become a world geothermal centre of excellence. A descriptive qualitative method with an explanatory approach was used, with primary data from interviews and secondary data from related documents. The results show that from a business standpoint, PGE has successfully positioned itself as a world geothermal centre of excellence. This is evidenced by its consistent focus on the business potential of geothermal energy. However, in terms of community engagement, PGE’s approach remains less than optimal. Although communication objectives have been stated, in practice, PGE have not been fully realized. PGE still needs to consider its corporate communication approach toward the community, as this could influence other corporate goals and help garner public support for the company. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji komunikasi strategis yang diterapkan oleh PGE dalam upayanya menjadi pusat keunggulan panas bumi dunia. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan eksplanatori, menggunakan data primer dari wawancara dan data sekunder dari dokumen terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari sisi bisnis, PGE telah berhasil memposisikan dirinya sebagai pusat keunggulan panas bumi dunia, yang dibuktikan dengan fokus konsisten terhadap potensi bisnis energi panas bumi. Namun, dalam hal keterlibatan masyarakat, pendekatan PGE masih kurang optimal. Meskipun tujuan komunikasi telah ditetapkan, dalam praktiknya belum sepenuhnya terwujud. PGE masih perlu mempertimbangkan pendekatan komunikasi korporatnya terhadap masyarakat, karena hal ini dapat memengaruhi tujuan perusahaan lainnya serta membantu memperoleh dukungan publik terhadap perusahaan.

Abstract

Women’s empowerment through Islamic women’s organizations in Serang City Women’s Islamic organizations (Muslimat, Aisiyah, and Persistri) in Serang City have significantly increased women’s involvement in the public sphere. Although religiously based, these organizations implement strategic programs in non-religious sectors to strengthen women’s empowerment. Their efforts focus on addressing gender inequality and the strong patriarchal culture in Serang City while promoting the message that Islam supports gender equality and women’s independence. This study examines the contributions of Islamic women’s organizations, including Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah, Muslimat NU, and Persistri Persis, in empowering women in Serang City. The research employs an exploratory and developmental social method with a quantitative descriptive approach. The findings indicate that these organizations engage in religious activities and play a crucial role in women’s empowerment through various programs. The study concludes that there is significant potential for synergy between these organizations and other stakeholders to strengthen women’s empowerment further. Organisasi Islam perempuan (Muslimat, Aisyiyah, dan Persistri) di Kota Serang telah memberikan dampak yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan perempuan di ranah publik. Meskipun berbasis keagamaan, organisasi ini melaksanakan program-program strategis di sektor non-keagamaan untuk memperkuat pemberdayaan perempuan. Upaya mereka berfokus pada mengatasi ketimpangan gender dan budaya patriarki yang masih kuat di Kota Serang, sekaligus menyampaikan pesan bahwa Islam mendukung kesetaraan gender dan kemandirian perempuan. Penelitian ini mengkaji kontribusi organisasi Islam perempuan, termasuk Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah, Muslimat NU, dan Persistri Persis, dalam memberdayakan perempuan di Kota Serang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sosial eksploratif dan pengembangan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa organisasi-organisasi ini tidak hanya berfokus pada kegiatan keagamaan, tetapi juga berperan penting dalam pemberdayaan perempuan melalui berbagai program. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat potensi besar untuk sinergi antara organisasi-organisasi ini dengan berbagai pemangku kepentingan lainnya guna semakin memperkuat pemberdayaan perempuan.

Abstract

Mapping the Mount Lawu hiking trail via Babar using a Geographic Information System (GIS) to support special interest tourism The popularity of Mount Lawu hiking as a special interest tourism has increased. Mount Lawu is a popular destination for hikers because of its natural beauty, history, and culture. Popular hiking trails are via Candi Cetho and via Cemoro Sewu. However, in 2019, a new alternative hiking trail was available, namely the Babar hiking trail, managed by the Wono Tirto Forest Village Community Organization (LMDH). The Babar hiking trail has the advantage of a lower slope than other trails, and there are several relic sites of the Majapahit kingdom along the hiking trail. The Babar hiking trail has not had an appropriate map of the hiking trail since its opening. This research aims to produce a Geographic Information System (GIS)-based digital map that provides information on special interest tourism hiking trails (Mount Lawu hiking) in supporting mountaineering management. The method used in this research is Participatory GIS (P-GIS) with an LMDH officer. Data was collected through ground surveys with the Avenza Maps application, and analyzed using Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS) to produce digital maps. The resulting hiking trail map is equipped with necessary information, including Basecamp, post, shelter, water point, site point along the trail, peak, distance, and estimated travel time. The map can be accessed offline for navigation and location tracking. This digital map makes it easier for hikers to navigate and plan, reducing the risk of accidents during mountain hiking activities. Popularitas wisata minat khusus pendakian Gunung Lawu mengalami peningkatan. Gunung Lawu merupakan destinasi populer bagi pendaki berkat keindahan alam, sejarah, dan budaya. Jalur pendakian yang terkenal antara lain Jalur Pendakian Gunung Lawu via Candi Cetho dan via Cemoro Sewu, namun pada tahun 2019 tersedia jalur pendakian alternatif baru yaitu jalur pendakian via Babar yang dikelola oleh Lembaga Masyarakat Desa Hutan (LMDH) Wono Tirto. Jalur pendakian via Babar memiliki keunggulan yaitu kemiringan lereng lebih rendah dibandingkan jalur lain dan terdapat beberapa situs peninggalan kerajaan majapahit di sepanjang jalur pendakian. Jalur Pendakian Babar belum memiliki peta jalur pendakian yang memadai sejak dibuka. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan peta digital berbasis Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) yang memiliki manfaat untuk menyediakan informasi jalur pendakian wisata minat khusus (pendakian Gunung Lawu) dalam mendukung manajemen pendakian gunung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey dengan implementasi SIG Partisipatif (SIG-P) bersama pengurus LMDH Wono Tirto. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei lapangan dengan aplikasi Avenza Maps, dan dianalisis menggunakan Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS) untuk menghasilkan peta digital. Peta jalur pendakian yang dihasilkan dilengkapi dengan informasi penting antara lain Basecamp, pos, shelter, titik mata air, titik situs di sepanjang jalur, puncak, jarak, dan estimasi waktu tempuh. Peta tersebut dapat diakses secara offline untuk navigasi dan pelacakan lokasi. Peta digital ini memudahkan pendaki dalam navigasi dan perencanaan, mengurangi risiko kecelakaan selama kegiatan mendaki gunung.

Abstract

The digital era has brought about a revolution in various aspects of life, including the realm of political campaigning. This study examines the transformation of political campaign strategies in the context of the influence of social media and digital communication. Utilizing a qualitative approach, this research investigates how digital platforms and social media have impacted campaign approaches, altered the interaction dynamics between candidates and voters, and influenced voter behaviour. The findings indicate that social media is central to informing, engaging, and mobilizing the masses, especially among the younger generation. Moreover, digital communication allows for more personalized, real-time, and data-oriented campaigns. However, the potential for disinformation and polarization also increases with the presence of social media as a campaign medium. This study provides insights into the importance of adapting political campaign strategies in the digital era and the necessity for a balanced approach between utilizing technology and considering ethics in communication.

Abstract

A model of sex education through a critical pedagogy approach for adolescents at Rifka Annisa Women’s Crisis Center The research aims to analyze the sex education model through Paulo Freire’s critical pedagogy approach for adolescents in Rifka Annisa and identify its impact. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with observation, interviews, and documentation data collection techniques. The results showed that the models and forms of sex education activities for adolescents in Rifka Annisa are the Youth Class Community Forum, RGTS (Rifka Annisa Goes to School), RGTS by Order, RGTS by Project, and media campaigns. Sex education methods using the critical pedagogy approach are serial discussions, art, and reflective methods. The serial discussion method is a discussion with a different theme for each meeting that is still continuous. The art method is a creative and interesting medium used for sex education, including music, graphic design, and performing arts. The following method is the reflective method, which is a process of deepening, realizing, and reflecting on the material, experiences, and life around the participants. Sex education activities in Rifka Annisa that use these three methods impact changes in perspective, changes in behavior, and critical awareness of participants. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model pendidikan seks melalui pendekatan pedagogi kritis Paulo Freire bagi remaja di Rifka Annisa dan mengidentifikasi dampaknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model dan bentuk kegiatan pendidikan seks bagi remaja di Rifka Annisa adalah Forum Komunitas Kelas Remaja, RGTS (Rifka Annisa Goes to School) RGTS by Order dan RGTS by Project, dan media campaign. Metode pendidikan seks yang menggunakan pendekatan pedagogi kritis yaitu diskusi serial, metode seni, dan metode reflektif. Metode diskusi serial merupakan diskusi dengan tema yang berbeda setiap pertemuan namun tetap berkesinambungan. Metode seni merupakan media kreatif dan menarik yang digunakan sebagai bentuk pendidikan seks meliputi musik, desain grafis, dan seni pertunjukan. Metode selanjutnya adalah metode reflektif merupakan proses pendalaman, penyadaran, dan merefleksikan materi, pengalaman, dan kehidupan di sekitar peserta. Kegiatan pendidikan seks di Rifka Annisa yang menggunakan ketiga metode tersebut berdampak untuk perubahan perspektif, perubahan perilaku, dan kesadaran kritis peserta.

Abstract

Efforts to reduce flood potential in karst areas through environment-based contextual learning for high school students MA Darussalam Ngentrong is located in the southern part of Tulungagung Regency. The area has the potential for flooding with high frequency during the rainy season. Therefore, to reduce the risk of flooding, efforts are needed to increase the capacity of disaster knowledge through learning activities in schools. Students need to understand disaster competencies based on the learning resources around them. This community service (PKM) aims to implement contextual learning based on the environment to increase disaster capacity in MA Darussalam Ngentrong. This PKM activity uses a participatory action research (PAR) approach that focuses on active participation from schools. The implementation of this program has three stages: introduction, PKM implementation, and evaluation. The results of this study include the implementation of PKM by implementing contextual learning based on the environment and student participation in planting trees as an implementation of the “one house, one tree” campaign. This program prepares the younger generation to reduce flood risk through knowledge socialization to the community and active participation in environmental restoration activities. MA Darussalam Ngentrong terletak di bagian selatan Kabupaten Tulungagung. Kawasan tersebut berpotensi ancaman banjir dengan frekuensi tinggi pada musim hujan. Maka, sebagai upaya mengurangi risiko bencana banjir, diperlukan usaha untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pengetahuan bencana melalui kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah. Siswa perlu memahami kompetensi kebencanaan berdasarkan sumber belajar disekitarnya. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis lingkungan sebagai upaya peningkatan kapasitas kebencanaan di MA Darussalam Ngentrong. Kegiatan PKM ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan partisipasi (PAR) yang berorientasi pada partisipasi aktif dari sekolah. Pelaksanaan program ini mempunyai tiga tahap yaitu pendahuluan, pelaksanaan PKM, dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian ini antara lain pelaksanaan PKM dengan menerapkan pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis lingkungan dan partisipasi siswa dalam penanaman pohon sebagai implementasi kampanye “satu rumah, satu pohon”. Program ini mempersiapkan generasi muda dalam upaya pengurangan risiko banjir melalui sosialisasi pengetahuan kepada masyarakat dan partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan restorasi lingkungan.

Abstract

The effect of the creative problem solving model on problem solving ability and learning motivation in Geography subjects Geography learning is contextual and focuses on issues related to the life of the surrounding environment. Problem-solving abilities and low student learning motivation are problems in geography learning. This research aims to determine the influence of the creative problem-solving model on problem-solving abilities and learning motivation in geography subjects at Kepanjen Islamic High School. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a pretest and posttest control group design covering classes X-2 and X-4, sampling using purposive sampling. The data analysis used is prerequisite testing and hypothesis testing. Hypothesis testing was used the MANOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Variance) Test. Based on the analysis results, the average score for the experimental class was higher than that of the control classes. The MANOVA test results show that the F value for Pillai’s trace, Wilks’ lambda, Hotelling’s trace, and Roy’s Largest Root have the same value, meaning that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The findings in this research are that the syntax of the creative problem-solving model, namely problem finding, idea finding, and solution finding, influences problem-solving abilities and learning motivation. The conclusion of this research shows a significant influence of the creative problem-solving learning model on the problem-solving abilities and learning motivation of students who are given treatment and those who use conventional learning models. Pembelajaran geografi bersifat kontekstual dan berfokus pada persoalan-persoalan yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan lingkungan sekitar. Kemampuan memecahkan masalah dan motivasi belajar siswa yang rendah menjadi salah satu permasalahan dalam pembelajaran geografi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model creative problem solving terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah dan motivasi belajar pada mata pelajaran geografi di SMA Islam Kepanjen. Jenis penelitian ini ialah eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan rancangan pretest dan posttest control group design yang meliputi kelas X-2 dan X-4, pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan ialah uji prasyarat serta uji hipotesis. Uji hipotesis dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan Uji MANOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Variance). Berdasarkan hasil analisis, nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada nilai kelas kontrol. Hasil uji MANOVA memperlihatkan bahwasannya nilai F untuk Pillai's trace, Wilks' lambda, Hotelling's trace, dan Roy’s Largest Root mempunyai nilai yang sama, artinya hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak serta hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Temuan pada penelitian ini adalah sintaks model creative problem solving yaitu problem finding, ide finding dan solution finding berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah dan motivasi belajar. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran creative problem solving secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah dan motivasi belajar siswa yang diberikan perlakuan dan siswa dengan model pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Enhancing the innovative competencies of vocational high school history teachers through videography training This videography training was conducted to train history teachers at vocational schools throughout the Malang Regency to be able to develop innovative history learning media in the form of videography. One of the indicators of an innovative teacher is being able to develop their own learning media according to the needs and characteristics of students in the class. A common problem in learning history in vocational schools is that students are less interested in history lessons because they are boring and not a subject that is appropriate for their field. One of the causes of student boredom is the lack of creativity and innovation of teachers in using learning media. So, it is necessary to conduct training to improve teacher competence in developing innovative learning media, namely videography. This training is realized in three stages, namely pre-activities, core activities and post-activities. The implementation of this history videography training was carried out for two days, namely on July 23, 2024, online using Zoom software and on July 25, 2024, offline at the Museology Laboratory, Department of History, State University of Malang. The results of the training, firstly showed that history teachers of vocational schools throughout Malang Regency assessed that the videography training succeeded in improving their competence with the results of the evaluation questionnaire of 80-93 percent, secondly the output of the videography project was able to be completed by the participants so that it can be used as an innovative learning media. With this training, it is hoped that history educators will not only teach but can also develop historical videos that can be used as a medium for learning history in the classroom. Pelatihan videografi ini dilakukan untuk melatih guru-guru sejarah SMK se-Kabupaten Malang agar dapat mengembangkan media pembelajaran sejarah yang inovatif dalam bentuk videografi. Karena salah satu indikator guru yang inovatif yaitu mampu mengembangkan sendiri media pembelajaranya sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik peserta didik di kelas. Problematika umum dalam pembelajaran sejarah di SMK adalah siswa kurang tertarik dengan pelajaran sejarah karena membosankan dan bukan sebagai mata pelajaran yang sesuai di bidang mereka. Salah satu penyebab kebosanan siswa karena kurang kreatif dan inovatifnya guru dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran. Sehingga perlu dilakukan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi Guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang inovatif, yaitu videografi. Pelatihan ini direalisasikan dengan tiga tahap yakni pra kegiatan, kegiatan inti dan pasca kegiatan. Pelaksanaan pelatihan videografi sejarah ini dilaksanakan selama dua hari yakni pada 23 Juli 2024 secara daring menggunakan software Zoom dan pada 25 Juli 2024 secara luring di Laboratorium Museologi Departemen Sejarah, Universitas Negeri Malang. Hasil pelatihan, yang pertama menunjukkan bahwa para guru sejarah SMK se-Kabupaten Malang menilai pelatihan videografi berhasil meningkatkan kompetensinya dengan hasil angket evaluasi 80-93 persen, kedua ouput project videografi mampu diselesaikan oleh para peserta sehingga dapat dijadikan media pembelajaran yang inovatif. Dengan pelatihan ini diharapkan para pendidik sejarah tidak hanya sekadar mengajar saja, melainkan dapat mengembangkan video sejarah yang dapat digunakan untuk media pembelajaran sejarah di kelas.
