Abstract

Existential intelligence refers to an individual's ability to understand the meaning of life, explore existential goals, and build meaningful connections in everyday life. This research aims to examine the influence of role-playing activities on the development of existential intelligence in early childhood. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with participatory observation techniques and in-depth interviews with children involved in role-playing activities in early childhood education environments. Research shows that role-playing activities can significantly develop children's existential intelligence. This research shows an increased ability to interpret and deal with everyday life experiences through roles played. Children develop a deeper understanding of social relationships, values, and ways to overcome challenges in life. These findings show the importance of expanding the approach to early childhood education to include role-playing activities to facilitate the development of existential intelligence. The practical implication of this research is that educators and parents can consider integrating role-playing activities in the early childhood curriculum as a strategy to support children's holistic development and the role of parents and teachers in working together to increase children's existential intelligence.

Abstract

Early childhood literacy is essential to children's cognitive and social development. A literacy environment helps build children's interests, including reading and writing. Reading readiness is very important so young children can develop a basic understanding of letters and sounds before formal learning at school. One practical approach to increasing early childhood literacy is to utilize kindergarten libraries. They are optimizing Kindergarten Libraries as a form of accommodating Early Childhood literacy. This research uses descriptive qualitative so that the author can describe in detail and interpret the data or symptoms obtained during the study, which was carried out at Kindergarten Pelita Hati Jember. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation, with purposive determination of informants. So the informants chosen were the Principal, Class Teacher, Student Teacher, Library Teacher, and Students. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman data analysis technique. The research results show two developments in the optimization of the kindergarten library at Kindergarten Pelita Hati Jember, namely the development of book collections that are relevant to early childhood development and the development of new learning models. The library at Kindergarten Pelita Hati Jember is based on the tasks and functions of the library, including being a place for early childhood literacy activities. The room design and arrangement of books and other supporting equipment are very neatly arranged, with unique colours and a lovely study table.

Abstract

Toilet training young children is an essential milestone in a child's journey towards independence. This study explored the implementation and outcomes of a structured toilet training program in a playgroup setting. The aim is to assess its effectiveness in fostering independence in toddlers aged 1.5 to 3 years. The program takes a gradual approach, emphasizing positive reinforcement and consistency in the routine. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. The data collection techniques used included observations of participating toddlers over six months, with data collected through interviews with teachers and direct observation during playgroup activities. The data analysis technique used is Miles and Huberman. The research results showed that, first, in the Al-Fatih KB, 5 of the 14 children had difficulty using the toilet. Second, teachers' structured and consistent approach has proven effective in helping children understand and internalize toilet use skills. Third, the supporting factors in training children's independence in using toddler toilets at Al-Fatih KB Palembang City include good cooperation between teachers and parents, mental and psychological readiness of children, mature age, and complete and adequate facilities and infrastructure in Toilet Training learning. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include the child's age, mental and psychological not being ready to learn Toilet Training and the lack of cooperation from parents who still use disposable diapers on their children.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the effectiveness of implementing pop up books in improving linguistic intelligence in early childhood at RA Habibilla, Medan City, North Sumatra. Pop-up book media is a three-dimensional and interactive type of media. By using this media, teachers can teach and introduce various kinds of stories to children, which teachers want to tell to children, with multiple themes and stories that are used and told. Using descriptive methods with a qualitative approach, data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The collected data was analyzed in depth using the reduction and data display stages. The conclusions were drawn to gain a comprehensive insight into implementing pop-up books to improve linguistic intelligence in early childhood at RA Habibilla.The research results show that the use of pop up books not only increases children's linguistic intelligence but also influences their cognitive, social, emotional, religious and artistic aspects. Children show high enthusiasm, increased vocabulary and better speaking skills. These findings are in line with Vygotsky's theory of language development and Gardner's Multiple Intelligences theory. The conclusion of this research suggests that pop up books are an effective and innovative learning media for developing various aspects of intelligence in early childhood.

Abstract

The problem of shyness in early childhood cannot be left alone because it will affect their personality. This research aims to find out about effective strategies for overcoming shyness problems, namely including the causal factors, approaches used in overcoming shyness problems, and the psychosocial impact on AUD. This research uses a qualitative case study type approach. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. The main subject of the research was an 8-year-old child in Tanjung Selamat subdistrict, Bandar Lampung city. Data analysis using Miles and Huberman. The results of this research found that the factors that cause shyness problems in children consist of internal factors and external factors. The approach used is a psychological intervention which focuses on developing social skills and increasing self-confidence, such as parents taking their children out of the house to interact with neighbours, introducing children to children their age, role-playing, and encouraging children to play with friends outside the home. , and limit children's use of cell phones so that children do not enjoy being alone. The psychosocial impacts of shy children that researchers found included the impact on social interactions and lack of managing emotions.

Abstract

The critical thinking abilities of young children at Pertiwi 1 Padang Kindergarten have not developed optimally because the learning used does not fully provide opportunities for children to think actively. The aim of conducting this research was to see how much influence the use of the chicory experimental method had on the critical thinking skills of young children at the Pertiwi 1 Kindergarten, Padang Governor's Office. This research uses a quasi-experiment with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique is through tests by making assessment instruments with checklists. Next, data analysis techniques were carried out using 3 swimmer tests, namely normality, homogeneity and hypothesis tests. The population in each Class B1 and B4 was 16 children, the sampling technique was 11 children. The results of the hypothesis test show that the significance value using Levene's Test for Equality of Variances is 0.193 > 0.05, meaning that the variance of the N-gain data for the two classes is homogeneous. Sign value. (2-tailed) of 0.010 < 0.05, meaning that there is a difference between the mustard greens experimental method on the critical thinking abilities of young children at Pertiwi 1 Kindergarten, Padang Governor's Office. So it can be concluded that the chicory experimental method has an effect on the critical thinking abilities of young children. In this case, the results of research using the chicory experimental method on children's critical thinking abilities can involve children in observing, raising questions, knowing cause and effect, solving problems, and expressing their opinions.

Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project is a curriculum improvement effort that aims to instill moral and religious values in early childhood. This research aims to determine the implementation of the dimensions of faith, piety to God Almighty, and noble character in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project. The research was conducted at Kindergarten Negeri Pembina 4 Palembang with the research subjects being children in class B3. The research method used is a qualitative type of research with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the dimensions of faith, piety to God Almighty, and noble character in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project at Kindergarten Negeri Pembina 4 Palembang has been running very well. This can be seen from the elements in these dimensions, namely religious morals, personal morals, morals to humans, morals to nature, and state morals that have been instilled in the children's character. Then there are supporting and inhibiting factors, namely the cooperation of enthusiastic parents and teachers, as well as the enthusiasm of the children in carrying out activities. As for the inhibiting factor, namely the lack of teacher understanding of the Pancasila Student Profile. However, this can be overcome by providing training on the Pancasila Student Profile by the principal to improve teacher understanding.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media big book yang layak untuk meningkatkan kemampuan keaksaraan awal anak usia 4-5 tahun dan mengetahui respon guru terhadap media big book untuk meningkatkan kemampuan keaksaraan awal anak usia 4-5 tahun. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan atau RnD dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Adapun tahapan yang dilakukan yaitu: (1) Tahap Analysis, (2) Tahap Design, (3) Tahap Development, (4) Tahap Implementation dan (5) Tahap Evaluation. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa angket validasi ahli materi, validasi ahli media, dan angket respon guru. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 14 guru dari empat sekolah. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada proses akhir validasi ahli materi memperoleh skor persentase yaitu 100% dengan kriteria “sangat baik” dan validasi media memperoleh skor sebesar 100% dengan kriteria “sangat baik”, sehingga dapat dilanjutkan ke tahap implementasi dan uji coba kelompok besar dan kelompok kecil. Media big book dinyatakan praktis berdasarkan hasil uji coba kepraktisan melalui angket oleh guru dengan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 88,33% pada uji kelompok besar dan 88,19% pada uji kelompok kecil. Dengan demikian, maka disimpulkan bahwa media big book yang dihasilkan layak dan praktis sebagai media pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan kemampuan keaksaraan awal anak usia 4-5 tahun.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh permainan alat musik perkusi marakas terhadap kemampuan seni music anak 5-6 tahun di TK Pembina 1 Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Adapun populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pada seluruh anak yang ada di TK Pembina 1 kota jambi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah anak kelas B1 yang berjumlah 19 anak. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah nonprobability sampling dengan jenis teknik purposive sampling. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan statistik parametik. Dari hasil penelitian, peneliti menyimpulkan adanya pengaruh signifikan pada penerapan permainan alat musik perkusi marakas terhadap kemampuan seni musik anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Pembina 1 Kota Jambi Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Kemampuan Seni Musik anak lebih berkembang sesudah diterapkannya permainan alat musik perkusi marakas. Hal ini bisa dilihat melalui hasil pengujian hipotesis uji t bahwa t hitung > t tabel yaitu 27,262 > 2,110 ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh permainan alat musik perkusi marakas terhadap kemampuan seni musik anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Pembina 1 Kota Jambi.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil pra observasi awal di Tk Izzatul Islam,TK Puri Masurai II,TK Islam Qonita,Tk Negeri 15 Mendalo Darat dan Tk Fania Salsabila Barokah ditemukan masalah di kelas A yaitu rendahnya kemampuan anak mengenal angka sebab anak hanya dapat berhitung 1-10 dengan lisan namun anak tidak bisa menunjukan simbol angka yang melambangkanya saat di tanyakan oleh grru kembali. Selain itu anak masih kebingungan dalam mengurutkan lambang bilangan 1-10. Oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian untuk: (1) menghasilkan media permainan melompat angka. (2) menguji kelayakan nya dan (3) mengetahui respon guru mengenai media permainan melompat angka. Studi ini dikembangkan menggunakan model ADDIE, yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket validasi dari ahli materi dan media, serta angket respon 5 guru di Tk Izzatul Islam,TK Puri Masurai II,TK Islam Qonita,Tk Negeri 15 Mendalo Darat dan Tk Fania Salsabila Barokah. Analisis data bersifat kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap pertama validasi materi oleh ahli materi diperoleh hasil 61%, tahap kedua dinyatakan layak digunakan dengan revisi dengan persentase kelayakan sebesar 86% dan tahap ketiga dinyatakan layak di gunakan tanpa revisi dengan persentase kelayakan 97%. Kemudian data hasil validasi ahli media diperoleh skor persentase sebesar 94% dan tahap validasi kedua memperoleh skor 100% dengan kategori sangat baik dan dinyatakan layak digunakan tanpa revisi. Media permainan melompat angka dinyatakan praktis dengan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 92% berdasarkan data hasil uji coba kepraktisan oleh respon guru di Tk Izzatul Islam,TK Puri Masurai II,TK Islam Qonita,Tk Negeri 15 Mendalo Darat dan Tk Fania Salsabila Barokah menggunakan angket. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa media permainan melompat angka yang dihasilkan tersebut layak dan praktis sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan berfikir simbolik pada anak usia 4-5 tahun di Kelurahan Mendalo Darat.
