Abstract

Abstract: Competition among educational institutions requires schools to excel not only in academic outcomes but also in developing sustainable competitive advantage. This study aims to identify the dominance of leadership and human resource (HR) factors in building schools’ competitive advantage, examine research trends in terms of methods and locus, and synthesize the key factors influencing competitiveness. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by analyzing seven scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025 from Google Scholar and ScienceDirect databases, following predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The synthesis results reveal that schools’ competitive advantage is predominantly determined by the effectiveness of strategic leadership and sustainable HR management. Common strategies include strengthening teacher competencies, fostering adaptive organizational culture, and optimizing intellectual capital components such as human capital, structural capital, and social capital through the Resource-Based View (RBV) framework. Furthermore, research trends on educational competitiveness remain dominated by qualitative and literature-based approaches, with diverse contexts ranging from Islamic schools to higher education institutions. Overall, this study confirms that leadership and human resources are the key determinants of educational institutions’ competitiveness. Future research with empirical approaches is recommended to enhance the validity of findings and deepen understanding of how competitive advantage strategies are implemented across educational levels. Keywords: Competitive advantange; strategic leadership; human resources; Resource-Based View Abstrak: Persaingan antar lembaga pendidikan menuntut sekolah untuk tidak hanya unggul dalam hasil akademik, tetapi juga memiliki keunggulan kompetitif yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dominasi faktor kepemimpinan dan sumber daya manusia (SDM) dalam membangun keunggulan kompetitif sekolah, meninjau tren penelitian dari aspek metode dan lokus, serta mensintesis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keunggulan tersebut. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menganalisis tujuh artikel ilmiah terbitan 2020–2025 yang diperoleh dari basis data Google Scholar dan ScienceDirect berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil sintesis menunjukkan bahwa keunggulan kompetitif sekolah secara dominan ditentukan oleh efektivitas kepemimpinan strategis dan pengelolaan SDM yang berkelanjutan. Strategi yang banyak ditemukan mencakup penguatan kompetensi guru, pengembangan budaya organisasi adaptif, serta optimalisasi modal intelektual seperti human capital, structural capital, dan social capital berdasarkan perspektif Resource-Based View (RBV). Selain itu, tren penelitian keunggulan kompetitif di bidang pendidikan masih didominasi pendekatan kualitatif dan studi literatur, dengan konteks beragam mulai dari sekolah Islam hingga pendidikan tinggi. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa SDM dan kepemimpinan merupakan faktor utama yang menentukan daya saing lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian lanjutan dengan pendekatan empiris disarankan untuk memperkuat validitas temuan dan memperluas pemahaman tentang implementasi strategi keunggulan kompetitif di berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Abstract

Abstract: Departing from the problem of low teacher welfare in non-formal Islamic educational institutions, this study analyzes the policy of the head of the Al-Afkar Bungurasih Foundation in improving the welfare of teachers of the Al-Qur'an Education Center. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observational data collection techniques, structured interviews, and documentation; Data analysis was carried out through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing with a test of the validity of triangulation techniques. The results show three main policy clusters. First, financial policy: the determination of proportional honorarium based on the number of students fostered and the facilitation of voluntary appreciation funds from student guardians distributed directly without deductions including support for momentum such as holiday allowances. Second, the professional development policy: teachers' participation in the training of the Mu'allimil Qur'an (MMQ) Council accompanied by incentives as a form of appreciation and encouragement to improve pedagogical competence. Third, participatory governance policies: monthly routine deliberation as a communication forum, honorarium evaluation, identification of obstacles, and collective decision-making. The implementation of these policies has an impact on increasing teacher motivation, discipline, and responsibility, which is reflected in the readiness of teaching materials, seriousness in learning, and activeness in evaluation; in turn contributes to the quality of Qur'an learning services at TPQ. The findings confirm that a combination of financial policy, capacity building, and participatory governance is a strategic prerequisite for the elevation of teacher welfare and the quality of Qur'anic education in the context of foundations. Keywords: Foundation policy; teacher well-being; Al-Qur’an Education Center Abstrak: Berangkat dari rendahnya kesejahteraan guru pada lembaga pendidikan Islam non-formal, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebijakan Ketua Yayasan Al-Afkar Bungurasih dalam upaya meningkatkan kesejahteraan guru TPQ. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara terstruktur, dan studi dokumentasi. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis melalui proses reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dengan validitas data diuji melalui teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga kebijakan utama yang diterapkan oleh yayasan. Pertama, kebijakan keuangan, meliputi penetapan honorarium berdasarkan jumlah santri binaan, penyaluran dana apresiasi sukarela dari wali santri tanpa potongan, serta pemberian tunjangan pada momentum tertentu seperti Hari Raya. Kedua, kebijakan pengembangan profesional, yaitu mendorong guru untuk mengikuti pelatihan yang diselenggarakan oleh Majelis Mu’allimil Qur’an (MMQ), disertai pemberian insentif sebagai bentuk apresiasi dan motivasi dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik. Ketiga, kebijakan pengelolaan partisipatif, yang diwujudkan melalui pelaksanaan musyawarah rutin bulanan sebagai forum komunikasi, evaluasi honorarium, identifikasi kendala, dan pengambilan keputusan secara kolektif. Implementasi ketiga kebijakan tersebut memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan motivasi dan tanggung jawab guru. Hal ini tercermin dari kesiapan guru dalam menyiapkan bahan ajar, kesungguhan dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran, serta partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan evaluasi. Secara keseluruhan, kebijakan yang terintegrasi antara aspek finansial, profesional, dan manajerial terbukti berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kesejahteraan guru sekaligus mutu layanan pembelajaran Al-Qur’an di TPQ Yayasan Al-Afkar Bungurasih. Abstract

Abstract: The Merdeka Belajar policy aims to improve educational quality through strengthening school autonomy and promoting flexible learning practices. However, its implementation continues to face various challenges, particularly related to human resource readiness, disparities in school capacity, and weak policy analysis at the school level. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar policy using the L–EARN Model (Listen, Empathize, Analyze, Recommend, Navigate) as a policy analysis framework. The study employed an Integrative Literature Review (ILR) by synthesizing reputable international journal articles and national education policy documents. Data analysis was conducted through four stages: content analysis, thematic mapping, conceptual model development, and contextual analysis. The findings indicate that the main barriers to policy implementation include limited teacher capacity, low levels of school data literacy, and suboptimal instructional leadership. The L–EARN Model is effective in identifying gaps between regulatory frameworks and classroom practices, as well as in formulating more contextual and sustainable policy improvement strategies. In conclusion, the successful implementation of the Merdeka Belajar policy requires adaptive, participatory, and continuous policy learning processes to enhance educational quality.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the urgency of eradicating corruption in Indonesia through preventive educational channels, particularly in the effort to deconstruct the residue of "upeti" (tribute) culture that historiographically continues to influence the social structure of society. The focus of this research is directed at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) as religious education institutions that hold a significant responsibility in instilling integrity values. The primary objective of this study is to analyze and prove the strength of the correlation between the implementation of anti-corruption education as an independent variable and two dependent variables, namely moral awareness and critical thinking skills of students at MTsN 1 and MTsN 2 Makassar, both partially and simultaneously.The methodology applied in this study is a quantitative approach with a non-comparative associative research design. The research population includes all active students at the research sites, with a sample of 100 respondents selected using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique to ensure representation across all grade levels. Primary data collection was conducted using a closed questionnaire instrument with a five-point Likert scale. Data analysis was performed using parametric statistical techniques, including the Pearson Product Moment correlation and multiple correlation tests, assisted by SPSS 26 software.The results of the research show the following findings: First, there is a significant and positive relationship between anti-corruption education and student moral awareness, with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.434 (moderate category). Second, there is a significant and positive relationship between anti-corruption education and student critical thinking skills, with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.504 (moderate to strong category). Third, the simultaneous test indicates a strong relationship with a multiple correlation value (R) of 0.608 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.370. This indicates that the variables of moral awareness and critical thinking skills together contribute 37% to the effectiveness of anti-corruption education in madrasahs, while the remaining portion is influenced by external factors. The study concludes that building solid integrity requires a continuous synergy between the development of inner conscience and sharp critical reasoning. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh urgensi pemberantasan korupsi di Indonesia melalui jalur preventif pendidikan, khususnya dalam upaya mendekonstruksi residu budaya upeti yang secara historiografi masih memengaruhi struktur sosial masyarakat. Fokus penelitian ini diarahkan pada lembaga Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) sebagai institusi pendidikan agama yang memiliki tanggung jawab besar dalam menanamkan nilai integritas. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan membuktikan kekuatan korelasi antara implementasi pendidikan antikorupsi sebagai variabel bebas terhadap dua variabel terikat, yaitu kesadaran moral dan keterampilan kritis peserta didik di MTsN 1 dan MTsN 2 Kota Makassar, baik secara parsial maupun simultan.Metodologi yang diterapkan dalam studi ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian asosiatif non-komparatif. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh peserta didik aktif di lokasi penelitian dengan sampel 100 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik proportionate stratified random sampling guna menjamin keterwakilan setiap strata kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data primer menggunakan instrumen kuesioner tertutup berskala Likert lima poin, Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik statistik parametrik menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment dan korelasi ganda dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS 26.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan temuan sebagai berikut: Pertama, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara pendidikan antikorupsi dengan kesadaran moral siswa dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,434 (kategori sedang). Kedua, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara pendidikan antikorupsi dengan keterampilan kritis siswa dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,504 (kategori sedang menuju kuat). Ketiga, pengujian secara simultan menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang kuat dengan nilai korelasi ganda (R) sebesar 0,608 dan koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,370. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa variabel kesadaran moral dan keterampilan kritis secara bersama-sama memberikan kontribusi sebesar 37% terhadap efektivitas pendidikan antikorupsi di madrasah, sementara sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor eksternal. Simpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa pembentukan integritas yang kokoh memerlukan sinergi antara pengembangan kepekaan nurani dan ketajaman nalar kritis secara berkesinambungan.
