Abstract

Gang Desa (formerly Gang Coklat) is a settlement in Limus Nunggal Village, Cileungsi, near the elite area of Kota Wisata Cibubur. Behind the splendor of Kota Wisata, the residents of Gang Desa live on low incomes. The lack of knowledge and skills in processing food based on local agricultural products for their children's snacks, makes them in an urgent situation to be able to acquire economically valuable skills that can be managed together. This PKM aims to empower housewives to process healthy and ready-to-eat foods from taro gandoang and turn them into culinary businesses to earn additional income. The activity was carried out from May to September 2025, attended by 20 fostered partners divided into two Joint Business Groups. The methods applied were socialization, namely education about healthy and nutritious food; training included practical processing of ingredients, marketing theory: branding, logos, product names and packaging; digital marketing technique theory: practical culinary content creation, and theory of calculating the cost of goods sold. After several training sessions and repetitions of processing basic taro ingredients into delicious and economically valuable foods, partners appeared to be skilled at practicing the recipes taught. Furthermore, they understand the importance of branding, logos, product naming, and food packaging techniques, as well as calculating Cost of Goods Sold and creating culinary containers. However, due to limited mobile phone availability, not all partners are proficient in culinary content creation. This program has successfully motivated partners to create culinary businesses using taro gandoang as a base ingredient, with support from implementing partners. Keywords: taro gandoang, digital marketing, Cost of Goods Sold.

Abstract

Cattle farmers in Lubuk Kilangan District face the challenges of low financial literacy and limited access to financing that complies with Sharia principles. This condition hampers capital management and livestock business development, as many farmers do not maintain proper financial records, making it difficult to obtain formal financing support. Furthermore, understanding of Sharia financing products remains limited, causing them to rely on high-risk informal financing. This program aims to improve Sharia financial literacy and expand access to Sharia financing for partner cattle farmers. The implementation method includes counseling, training, simulation, mentoring, and evaluation using a participatory approach, with pre-test and post-test instruments to measure improvements in participants’ knowledge and skills. The results showed significant increases in three main indicators: financial literacy (from 55% to 85%), understanding of Sharia financing (from 48% to 82%), and awareness of informal financing risks (from 52% to 84%). Additionally, 90% of participants committed to applying daily financial recording, 85% planned to separate personal and business finances, and 80% were interested in applying for Sharia financing within the next six months. The program also successfully established an initial network between farmers and Sharia financial institutions, opening opportunities for sustainability, and is feasible to be replicated in other regions with local adjustments. Keywords: Financial literacy, Sharia financing, Farmer empowerment, Community service, Cattle farming business.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information and communication technology has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the education sector. One of the technological innovations that has attracted increasing attention is Artificial Intelligence (AI). However, its utilization in education, particularly in the development of learning materials, is still not optimal. Vocational and high school teachers at the LP Ma’arif NU PWNU DIY Foundation strive to keep up with technological developments by utilizing AI tools that can be applied in the preparation of learning devices. This activity aimed to provide training and assistance to teachers in using AI tools, including preparing learning materials, designing instructional media, and creating AI-based quizzes and interactive games. Through this program, it is expected that teachers’ ability to develop more varied and effective learning devices will improve. The implementation of this activity consisted of four stages. The first stage was lectures and discussions to provide basic understanding of AI concepts and benefits in education. The second stage involved training on the use of AI tools for developing learning materials. The third stage was practical mentoring. The final stage was an evaluation to measure participants’ understanding and skills after the program. The evaluation results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of AI tools. In addition, participants’ interest and confidence in utilizing AI for learning, which was already high, increased further after the training. Thus, this program proved effective in improving teachers’ knowledge, skills, and motivation to integrate AI into the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Background: Fermented feed is the utilization of organic vegetable waste which is then processed together with other supporting components, namely molasses and EM4. Fermentation that occurs in feed here is the process of anaerobic enzymatic changes derived from complex organic compounds into simpler organic products. Thus, the fermented feed processing must be allowed to stand for 3 days before it can be given to livestock, especially chickens. Objective: This work program aims for a strategic solution in reducing environmental pollution caused by the accumulation of harvested vegetable waste and vegetable waste generated from household waste. Methods: The implementation of this activity is carried out by means of Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) through the Community Empowerment Real Work Lecture (KKN-PMM) program to farmer groups and breeder groups in order to improve independent food security. Results: Kalikuning Village community members, especially farmer groups and breeder groups, gained knowledge because there was a transfer of knowledge provided from the UNSOED KKN-PMM Team to residents related to the objectives, benefits, and direct practice for making fermented feed.

Abstract

Pasirwaru Village, located in Garut Regency, is a hilly area that frequently experiences clean water shortages during the dry season. The community's dependence on water supply from the local government reflects the absence of a sustainable and independent water provision system. The lack of subsurface geological information also poses challenges in identifying groundwater sources. Therefore, a scientific approach is required to effectively and efficiently map groundwater potential. This community service program was carried out to enhance local capacity through training in the application of electrical resistivity methods for groundwater mapping. The method applied in this activity refers to the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which encourages active involvement of the community from problem identification to technical training and data interpretation. The program was conducted in Pasirwaru Village, Blubur Limbangan Sub-district, involving the Community Self-Help Group as the main partner. The program yielded positive outcomes, as evidenced by the increased technical understanding of participants regarding geoelectrical methods and their ability to independently conduct field measurements. Five survey points indicated the presence of a potential aquifer at depths exceeding 70 meter, with resistivity values ranging from 28.42 to 53.23 Ohm.meter. These layers were interpreted as water-saturated tuffaceous sands with good permeability. Stakeholders, including local officials and residents, responded positively and expressed interest in replicating the program in nearby areas. This program has proven effective in achieving its objective of empowering the community through science-based knowledge transfer and generating foundational data to support sustainable drought mitigation strategies.
