Abstract

Artificial Intelligence is a new science that is currently being widely developed and used in all aspects to solve various tasks and problems. In advanced robotics systems, AI is used in robots to understand, reason, and act autonomously in complex environments. So far, partners still borrow robots from other agencies during robotics extracurricular activities. This community service activity aims to introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics technology to high school students and hone students' skills and can develop extracurricular robotics. This activity is in the form of training that begins with providing material on the topic of AI and robotics. This training began with providing AI and robotics materials attended by 30 students and took place in the computer laboratory of SMA Intensive Taruna Pembangunan Surabaya (SMA ITP Surabaya). The robot used is an arm robot, a robot that is often used in industry for various tasks. To determine the increase in knowledge and skills, pre-test and post-test methods are carried out before and after the training and case studies/projects are provided at the end of the training. There was an increase in student knowledge of 18.77% and student skills as evidenced by all (10) groups being able to move the target. With this activity, SMA ITP Surabaya has a robotics module in the form of an arm robot and is able to develop and increase student interest in robotics extracurricular activities.

Abstract

Ngiroboyo Beach in Pacitan Regency has great potential as a tourist destination because of its natural beauty. In addition to having a distinctive sea panorama and black sand, this beach also has interesting geothermal potential to be developed. The potential of Ngiroboyo Beach, which has not been widely explored, has led to this community service program being carried out to develop geothermal tourism destinations based on renewable energy, with a focus on increasing access to environmentally friendly electricity and improving tourism facilities. The stages of the activity include socialization, training, and mentoring for tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis) regarding the use of renewable energy through the installation of hybrid PLTS and electric bicycles. The installed hybrid PLTS can produce an electricity capacity of around 400 Watts at peak lighting, as a concrete result of the implementation of this program. The electricity generated through the hybrid PLTS can be used for electricity loads for lights and sound systems to support tourism activities. The training was conducted to strengthen the capacity of the community in managing tourism facilities based on renewable energy. The evaluation results showed a positive response from the participants, who expressed high satisfaction with the implementation of the program. This program is expected to be the first step in promoting the concept of sustainable tourism in Pacitan Regency and supporting sustainable development goals (SDGs), especially in the fields of clean energy and sustainable infrastructure.

Abstract

Stunting is a form of malnutrition that serves as an important indicator for monitoring the growth and development of toddlers. However, assessing the nutritional status of toddlers does not stop at stunting, but includes a comprehensive understanding of the child's nutritional condition in real time, especially by mothers who have toddlers. Although the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia has decreased, achieving the target reduction to 14% by 2024 still requires significant efforts. This community service activity aims to improve the nutritional literacy and technical skills of posyandu cadres and mothers of infants in utilizing a user-friendly R-Shiny-based application, both in web and Android versions. This application allows users to input anthropometric data of infants (weight-for-age, height-for-age, and BMI-for-age), and then automatically generates growth charts based on reference standards. The activity was conducted in a hybrid format on June 29, 2024, with a total of 69 participants (35 offline cadres and 34 online cadres). Evaluation results showed a significant increase in cadres' knowledge, with an average post-test score (76.81) higher than the pre-test score (71.66) and a p-value from the paired t-test of 0.008. Additionally, participants gave high satisfaction scores, with an average above 75 on all indicators. The program also provides intensive mentoring and long-term monitoring to ensure smooth application use. With a data-driven approach sensitive to regional characteristics, this program is expected to serve as an innovative, sustainable, and replicable community service model in other areas to accelerate stunting reduction efforts.
