Abstract

Self-assessment in language learning is important to understanding students' needs and challenges in mastering Arabic and English skills, especially for those outside the language department. Therefore, this study aims to explore the differences in the level of language learning difficulty and the readiness of students from non-language majors to learn Arabic and English. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method, involving 109 students from three Islamic universities in the Cirebon area as respondents. Data was collected through a questionnaire consisting of two main components: the language learning difficulty scale and the learning readiness scale. Data analysis was carried out to compare the difficulty level felt with the student's readiness to learn English. The results showed that both variables had the same response in terms of difficulty and readiness to learn. The classification of difficulty in Arabic and English is the same, namely at a moderate level with a percentage of 64% and 51%, and the dominant indicator that is considered difficult for students to master is the fluency indicator. In addition, the comparison of learning readiness in Arabic and English did not differ significantly. The motivation indicators of both languages have the same percentage of 35%. Thus, the motivation of non-language students to learn Arabic and English is higher than the other two indicators.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a learning video on computer hardware material at SMP Negeri 8 Jangkang using the ADDIE development method. This study involved 32 grade VII students as test subjects and six validators consisting of material, design, and media experts. Qualitative and quantitative data analysis showed that the developed learning video had a very high feasibility level, with an average percentage of 96% in the material, design, and media aspects. Empirical tests on 32 students showed similar results, with a feasibility level reaching 98% and positive responses from students to the learning media. Statistical tests using the Mann-Whitney method showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups, with a substantial effect value of 5.44. These findings indicate that learning videos have a very considerable influence on student learning outcomes. Based on the study results, learning videos are categorized as very effective media and positively impact student learning outcomes on computer hardware material. In addition, student responses to the use of this media were very positive, which confirmed its effectiveness and usefulness in supporting a more interactive and enjoyable learning process.

Abstract

This study used a quantitative descriptive approach and involved 161 farmers. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation and tested for normality, homogeneity, linearity, multicollinearity, and hypothesis. The analysis results show that for the social status variable, the tcount value of 1.672 exceeds the ttable value of 1.655, which indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, which results in the approval of the null hypothesis (Ho). Multicollinearity and hypothesis. The analysis results show that for the social status variable, the tcount value of 1.672 exceeds the ttable value of 1.655, which indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, which results in the approval of the null hypothesis (Ho). Therefore, the null hypothesis is better than the alternative hypothesis. This suggests that Income does not significantly affect outcomes. The F test shows an equal influence of social status and Income on the observed variables with a significance value of 0.183. However, the calculated Fvalue (1.716) is lower than the Ftable (3.05), which indicates that the combined effect is not statistically significant. This finding indicates that, while Income has no significant impact on the variables under study, social status has a significant impact. This finding serves as a basis for improving policies that help farmers, especially regarding Income.

Abstract

Broadminded character is understood by one's ability to know oneself, make decisions, analyze patterns, be broadminded, contribute positively, empathize, know one's limits, capture the essence of the problem, have self-awareness, become a reference for opinions, and have integrity. Bullying often occurs in the world of education, which reflects a lack of wisdom in behaviour. The rise of bullying cases requires in-depth education to form a broadminded character. This study aims to develop a textbook on home civilization based on PjBL to foster broadminded character. This study used the ADDIE-type Research & Development (R&D) method. Ten certified elementary school teachers were involved in conducting a needs analysis, five teachers and five experts as expert judgment validators and eight children aged 10-12 years were involved in a limited trial of the book. The results showed that 1) the book on PjBL-based home civilization to foster broadminded character was developed with ADDIE stages; 2) the quality of the textbook was classified as "very good" so that it did not require revision (3.89 on a scale of 1-4); 3) the application of this textbook had a significant effect on broadminded character (p < 0.05) with a category effect (r = 0.992) or equivalent to 98% which was classified as a "large" effect category. The level of effectiveness is high (89.61%).

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach in improving students' literacy skills through a 15-minute literacy program. This approach is based on grouping students according to their ability levels, allowing teaching strategies to be tailored to students' needs. The method used in this study is descriptive with a qualitative approach, where data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Students are grouped based on their reading abilities: beginner, letters, words, paragraphs, and stories. The instruments used in this study are initial diagnostic and developmental tests conducted orally at the beginning and during the research process. These tests measure the overall development of students' reading skills over time. Data analysis is conducted to evaluate students' engagement and their responses to short but intensive literacy activities. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' literacy skills at all reading ability levels, both in comprehension and reading fluency. This improvement suggests that the TaRL approach can effectively enhance elementary school literacy skills. This research is expected to significantly contribute to developing more effective literacy strategies in elementary schools to optimize short yet effective learning time.

This research aims to discover how Ibn Khaldun views the concept of Islamic education, the educational process, and its relevance to contemporary Islamic education. The method used in this research is a literature study (Library Research) using a descriptive qualitative approach. The researcher seeks to collect data through several books, articles, journals, or other sources related to Ibn Khaldun's Islamic education thought. The researcher analyzes it and explores significant aspects related to the relevance of Ibn Khaldun's Islamic education. This research results in Ibn Khaldun's concept of education, which is neatly designed and holistic and helps human development. Ibn Khaldun's concept of education provides a philosophical foundation for education that integrates traditional values with modern needs. The principles put forward by Ibn Khaldun are still relevant in the contemporary era, especially in the use of technology or learning media. The concept of education, from Ibn Khaldun's perspective, can build an adaptive system, producing intelligent individuals who have integrity and are ready to contribute to the progress of civilization. Likewise, the role of the teacher is to be a means of learning transformation and to assist in shaping the identity of students. This meets modern civilization's needs and integrates traditional and innovative values.

Abstract

This research is motivated by Muslims who lack ethics and misbehave, such as in cases of Bullying, which are still underestimated by the general public. This is very contrary to Islamic teachings. This research uses descriptive qualitative research analysis, namely an effort to collect data, first compiled, explained, and then analyzed. This type of research is library research, which makes library material the primary data source in this study. The data collection technique in the research is searching and observing the verses of the Qur'an related to Bullying and the interpretations related to the verse. Then, review books, journals, articles, and previous theses/theses that match the theme to be studied. Then, all the data obtained will be collected and analyzed using the maudu'i interpretation method. The result of this study is that Bullying is a form of injustice, which is a real enemy of Islam. Islamic teachings emphasize the importance of compassion and doing good and prohibit actions that denounce, rebuke, or demean others. As creatures of Allah SWT, we should help each other in goodness and not demean or put down each other. Islam emphasizes the values of tolerance, cooperation, and mutual respect for all humans, without exception, who must be treated with respect and respect and respect each other.

Abstract

This research aims to strive for gender-responsive classroom management in elementary schools so that it can minimize and prevent bullying among elementary school students. During puberty, sensitivity to gender, self-identity, and social pressure increases, and ignorance of sex education and the reproductive system makes students more vulnerable to bullying. This research uses the systematic literature review (SLR) method by collecting literature from scientific journals, books, and other sources. The results of this research are strengthened by students' knowledge about sexuality education and the reproductive system, thereby making students' attitudes able to accept differences and demonstrate behavior that supports gender equality. Based on this research, it was concluded that classroom management, which focuses on gender-responsive matters in facing puberty, has been proven to be able to minimize and prevent bullying in elementary school students. Gender-responsive classroom management has great potential to prevent bullying and create a safer and more inclusive learning environment for all students. The implications of this research cover various aspects, from curriculum development and teacher training to changes in social norms. By applying these research findings, we can create a generation of young people who are more equal, tolerant, and respectful of differences.
