Abstract

Abstract

This article discusses the process of compiling teaching modules and teaching media as an important part of structured learning planning. Teaching modules function as a systematic guide for educators in achieving learning objectives, while teaching media act as a supporting tool to improve student understanding. This article describes the basic concept of teaching modules, steps in compiling teaching modules, types and selection of teaching media, integration of teaching media in teaching modules, and examples of implementation in the context of learning. In addition, it also discusses the challenges that teachers often face and practical solutions to overcome these obstacles. It is hoped that this article can be a reference for educators in developing innovative, contextual teaching tools that are in accordance with the needs of students.

Abstract

Pendekatan pembelajaran STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) telah menjadi salah satu inovasi penting dalam menjawab tantangan pendidikan abad ke-21, khususnya dalam pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan kolaboratif pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji integrasi pendekatan STEAM dalam pembelajaran sains di sekolah dasar, serta mengeksplorasi pengaruhnya terhadap peningkatan kreativitas dan kolaborasi siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menelaah berbagai sumber ilmiah yang relevan, seperti jurnal nasional dan internasional, prosiding seminar, serta dokumen kebijakan pendidikan yang terbit dalam rentang waktu 2014–2024. Analisis dilakukan secara tematik terhadap prinsip dasar STEAM, strategi integrasinya, serta dampaknya pada proses pembelajaran. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan STEAM secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, serta kolaborasi siswa. Beberapa studi menyatakan bahwa penerapan STEAM yang dikombinasikan dengan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek atau eksperimen kontekstual mampu menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aktif dan bermakna. Namun, implementasi STEAM di sekolah dasar di Indonesia masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, seperti keterbatasan pemahaman guru, kurangnya sarana dan prasarana, serta belum tersedianya pedoman operasional yang jelas.Diperlukan pelatihan guru yang berkelanjutan serta kebijakan pendidikan yang mendukung agar pendekatan ini dapat diimplementasikan secara optimal. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi kontribusi bagi pengembangan model pembelajaran sains yang inovatif dan kontekstual dalam rangka membekali siswa dengan keterampilan abad ke-21 secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the innovation of local history learning in Kulon Progo through pop-up book media in grade IV of elementary school. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, based on best practice, with a problem-based learning (PBL) and discovery learning approach. The subjects of this study consisted of 19 grade IV students of Margosari Elementary School, Kulon Progo. Data were collected through observation, project assessment, documentation of student work, learning motivation questionnaires, and statistical analysis using a paired sample t-test. The study's results showed an increase in students' average scores from 61.79 before treatment to 85.53 after using pop-up book media, with a significance of p < 0.001. In addition to improving learning outcomes, students showed increased motivation, creativity, and collaborative skills. Pop-up book media succeeded in making history learning more interesting, meaningful, and in accordance with the characteristics of elementary school students' cognitive development. This innovation supports the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes real-life experience-based learning and projects. The results of this study recommend the development of similar creative media in other subjects to improve the quality of learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is whether animation-based YouTube social media is effective for fifth grade students of SDN 193 Mandalan. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using animation-based YouTube social media on learning outcomes in Indonesian language material for fifth grade students of SDN 193 Mandalan. This type of research is experimental research (pre-experimental design) with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample and population are 12 fifth grade students of SDN 193 Mandalan. The data collection techniques used are learning outcome tests (pretest-posttest), student activity sheets, and student response questionnaires. The results of the study showed that the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis data and inferential analysis. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques, it was found that the average pretest value was 55.42 while the average posttest value was 83.75. The average posttest value was higher than the average pretest value. The average percentage of student activity in using animation-based YouTube social media is 95.125% indicating a positive response in the very good category and 12.45% giving a negative response in the sufficient category. And the average percentage value of student questionnaire responses to the use of animation-based YouTube social media is 94.165% so it is categorized as good (positive). Based on the inferential statistical analysis, the t count is 32,894 with a frequency of df = 12-1 = 11, at a significant level = 0.05 and the t table is 2,201. So t count> t table or H0 is rejected H1 is accepted. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that animation-based YouTube social media on the learning outcomes of Indonesian language material for class V SDN 193 Mandalan procedural texts is effective for learning outcomes of Indonesian language material for class V SDN 193 Mandalan students.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of mathematics Grade III students of SDN 067259 Medan Johor district on flat building materials through the application of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning models. The background of this study is based on the low learning outcomes and lack of enthusiasm of students in following the learning of mathematics. This study uses the approach of classroom Action Research (PTK) Kemmis and McTaggart model which is implemented in two cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation and reflection. The subjects of the study were 20 students of Class III. Data collection techniques are conducted through observation, learning outcomes tests, and documentation. The results showed that the application of CTL model can improve student learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the percentage of students ' learning completeness reached 60%, then increased to 85% in the second cycle. In addition, students ' learning activities also increased, where students were more active, enthusiastic, and able to associate the concept of waking up flat with everyday life. Thus, the CTL learning model proved effective in improving students ' understanding and learning outcomes on flat building materials.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the biography writing skills of tenth-grade students at SMAN 14 Medan through the use of visual media. The problem addressed is the students’ low proficiency in writing biographical texts, which stems from a lack of understanding of text structure and low engagement with conventional teaching methods. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 33 students from class X-2. Data were collected through writing tests, observation, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ writing abilities. The average score increased from 61.91 in the pre-test to 74.41 in the first cycle, and reached 85.74 in the second cycle. The percentage of students who met the minimum learning criteria rose from 26.47% in the pre-test to 70.59% in the first cycle, and reached 91.18% in the second cycle. Visual media such as infographics and animated videos effectively helped students understand the life stories of figures and encouraged their creativity in writing. It can be concluded that the use of visual media is effective in enhancing students’ biography writing skills. This study recommends the integration of visual media as an alternative instructional strategy in Bahasa Indonesia classes, particularly in writing lessons.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the disparities in educational support at SDN Sungai Miai 8 Banjarmasin. The main focus is on economic limitations, access to technology, and students’ readiness to participate in the learning process. These disparities pose significant barriers to achieving equitable and quality education for all. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and parents to identify the main challenges faced. The findings reveal that most students come from low-income families, which limits access to adequate learning facilities at home, such as technological devices and internet connectivity. Furthermore, students’ ability to engage in technology-based learning remains low, especially since the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, which demands greater independence and creativity. Teachers strive to adapt their teaching methods to better suit students’ conditions but are still constrained by limited resources and support. Therefore, strong collaboration between schools, parents, and the government is essential to ensure that every student has equal opportunities to receive a proper education, regardless of economic or technological barriers.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas IV UPT SDN 066050 Medan Denai melalui pemanfaatan media pembelajaran digital interaktif Baamboozle. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 29 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa dari 59,26% pada siklus I menjadi 87,5% pada siklus II. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media interaktif Baamboozle mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang menarik, menyenangkan, dan mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa sehingga meningkatkan motivasi belajar mereka.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the learning outcomes of second-grade students on the topic of various types of occupations at SD Negeri 064974 Medan Tembung through the Role playing learning method. Data collection techniques use preliminary study sheets and assessment rubrics. Based on the implementation of this research, the learning outcomes showed that in Cycle 1, 10 out of 23 students were unable to meet the success indicators, with a percentage of 43% (Poor). In Cycle 2, 8 out of 23 students did not meet the success indicators, with a percentage of 70% (Fair). Meanwhile, in Cycle 3, only 3 out of 23 students failed to meet the success indicators, with a percentage of 88% (Very Good). Based on these percentages, it can be concluded that the Role playing method can improve the learning outcomes of second-grade students on the topic of various types of occupations at SD Negeri 064974 Medan Tembung.
