Abstract

ABSTRACT Southeast Asian regional cooperation through ASEAN emerged as a response to political, social, and economic challenges in the region. This study examines the dynamics of cooperation among member countries by highlighting four main aspects: the background to ASEAN's formation, the objectives of cooperation, political and economic obstacles, and ASEAN-China relations through ACFTA and the development of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The study uses a descriptive method with literature studies from various academic sources. The analysis shows that ASEAN was formed to address post-colonial instability and promote peace, stability, and economic development. However, the implementation of cooperation is often hampered by differences in national interests, colonial legacies, border conflicts, and economic inequality.

Abstract

Fine arts learning in elementary schools often faces obstacles in fostering student creativity, especially in storytelling drawing (comic) materials. Conventional methods and the lack of interactive media cause students to have difficulty visualizing ideas and storylines, resulting in monotonous artwork. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing "Komik Zaman Now" Flipbook media in increasing the creativity of fourth-grade students. This study used a Mixed Method with a Sequential Explanatory design. The subjects were 27 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Songgom 01. Data collection was carried out through performance tests (comic products), observations, and response questionnaires. Quantitative analysis results showed a significant increase in student creativity with an average N-Gain score of 0.72, which is in the high category. Qualitatively, digital flipbook media proved capable of creating an interactive learning atmosphere relevant to the students' world ("Zaman Now"), thereby triggering their visual and narrative imagination. It is concluded that the integration of flipbook-based digital comics is effective as an innovative solution in art learning in the digital era.

Abstract

The urgency of this research stems from a specific problem, namely the gap between the lesson plan documents prepared by teachers and their implementation in classroom learning practices, particularly in aspects of time management, utilization of learning media, equitable student involvement, and implementation of the syntax of learning models. Various previous studies have explained the importance of quality lesson planning, but have not paid in-depth attention to how the mismatch between the lesson plan and actual practice affects the effectiveness of the learning process. This study aims to systematically analyze the alignment between the lesson plan and teacher learning practices, while simultaneously identifying the factors causing the mismatch and formulating recommendations for follow-up based on academic coaching. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing analysis of lesson plan documents, classroom observations, and post-observation reflective interviews, then data analysis. The results show that although the lesson plan has been well-formulated administratively, there are implementation gaps, especially in the use of digital media due to technical constraints, less than optimal student participation, and the failure to fulfill all PBL syntax due to ineffective time management. These findings reveal an important pattern that good lesson planning does not guarantee quality implementation in the field. The implication of this research is that it emphasizes the importance of coaching-based academic supervision to improve alignment between learning planning and practice, and to encourage teachers to engage in continuous reflection.
