Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Cake application on listening competence among eleventh-grade students at SMAN 10 Pandeglang during the 2025/2026 academic year. The primary challenge addressed involves students' difficulties in comprehending English conversations, particularly when encountering diverse accents and rapid speech rates, coupled with limited technological integration in listening instruction. Employing a quasi-experimental design, this quantitative research involved 70 participants divided into two groups: an experimental group (n=35) utilizing Cake application and a control group (n=35) using Elsa application. Data collection employed pre-tests and post-tests consisting of multiple-choice questions derived from audio and video materials. Statistical analysis revealed that the experimental group demonstrated substantially superior performance, with mean scores increasing from 58.03 to 84.54, compared to the control group's improvement from 57.69 to 66.43. Independent samples t-test yielded a t-value of 11.866 (p<0.05), significantly exceeding the critical value of 1.672, thereby confirming the alternative hypothesis. These findings demonstrate that Cake application effectively enhances listening proficiency through authentic materials, interactive features, and flexible accessibility, suggesting its viability as an innovative pedagogical tool for English language instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of character education through digital-based Social Studies (IPS) learning and its impact on the creativity and independence of fifth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 75 Bentang. The background of this research arises from the limited use of digital media in Social Studies learning, which results in insufficient development of students’ character, creativity, and independence. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with the participants consisting of 24 students and one Social Studies teacher. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively to illustrate the learning process and its outcomes. The results show that the use of digital media such as Canva and motivational videos on character education effectively increased students’ interest, participation, and understanding of character values such as religiosity, nationalism, independence, cooperation, and integrity. Digital-based learning also encouraged students to think creatively, express their opinions confidently, and learn independently without relying too much on the teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to increase the learning activity of fourth grade students at SDN Tanah Tinggi 09 Jakarta with a total of 24 children consisting of 8 male students and 16 female students through the Problem Based Learning model in the Natural Sciences subject on Indonesia Rich Culture by describing activities learning carried out by students and teachers. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) or Classroom Action Research. The achievement of this research was obtained from the results of observations using research instruments in the form of observation sheets of students' and teachers' activities. Based on the results of observations by doing it for 2 cycles, the research shows that the learning activity of students has increased after learning using the Problem Based Learning model in science learning. The increase can be seen from the completeness of the activities of students and teachers, where teacher activity in cycle I was 76.5%, then in cycle II it increased to 84%. Student activity in cycle I was 72%, then increased in cycle II by 83%. From the observational data obtained where in the learning process activities focus more on the teacher. After the improvement, students look very active during the learning process.

Abstract

This study discusses in depth how the basic principles of Islamic Education Management (MPI) are applied in regulating and fostering discipline among students at the Azzakiyyah Islamic Boarding School in Cileunyi, Bandung Regency. This research emerged from observations that, despite the existence of regulations, the level of student compliance varied, indicating that successful discipline depends on a management system capable of effectively fostering internalization of values. Unlike previous studies that generally focus on technical dimensions, this research aims primarily to analyze the application of the four principles of MPI (planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising) while revealing the Islamic philosophical and spiritual foundations that underpin the entire management process. The method chosen is qualitative with a phenomenological research type, conducted at PP Azzakiyyah in October 2025. The research subjects (leaders, mentors, and students) were determined using purposive sampling techniques. Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model, with validity reinforced through source and method triangulation. Key findings show that discipline management is implemented holistically and transcends the boundaries of the conventional management framework (P-O-A-C). Specifically, the principle of planning is based on al-Maslahah al-Mursalah (public interest) and is ratified through the syura (consultative) mechanism. Organization is imbued with the concept of amanah (responsibility). In practice, consistent enforcement of rules is combined with spiritual guidance (muhasabah an-nafs) to trigger internal discipline awareness based on muraqabah (awareness of being watched by God). Finally, supervision places the tarbiyah (guidance) program as a follow-up to sanctions, which is based on rahmatan lil alamin (mercy). The scientific novelty of this study lies in the verification that MPI successfully bridges the technical aspects of management with the spiritual-philosophical dimensions, with the consistency of the leadership in providing uswah hasanah (good example) being the main supporting factor for its success.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the teacher’s strategies in developing attention and engagement of a student with severe intellectual disability through play and singing methods at SKHN 02 Kota Serang. Students with severe intellectual disability have significantly below-average intellectual functioning as well as limitations in communication, social interaction, and adaptive behavior, thus requiring concrete and individualized learning approaches. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, involving one first-grade student as the subject and the classroom teacher, who also serves as the guidance and counseling teacher, as the main informant. Data were collected through observations and semi-structured interviews, then analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the consistent use of play and singing methods effectively improves the student’s attention and engagement during learning activities. Singing, body movements, simple games, and positive reinforcement were shown to help the student understand instructions, reduce impulsive behavior, and enhance imitation and social interaction skills. The success of these strategies is also influenced by the teacher’s ability to provide positive reinforcement, serve as a behavioral role model, and adjust learning activities to the student’s physical condition. This study emphasizes that concrete, multisensory, and empathetic learning approaches are highly effective for students with severe intellectual disability. Therefore, play and singing methods can serve as relevant and applicable strategies to enhance engagement and developmental progress in children with special needs.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the concept of character education in the Qur’an as a fundamental foundation for shaping individuals with noble morals, integrity, and resilience in facing global challenges. This study employs a qualitative approach through library research, focusing on primary sources from Qur’anic verses and secondary sources such as books, academic articles, and relevant journals. The analysis applies content analysis to identify Islamic character values embedded in the Qur’an, including piety, honesty, trustworthiness, patience, gratitude, justice, benevolence, and humility. The findings reveal that Qur’anic-based character education emphasizes not only cognitive development but also a balanced cultivation of moral, spiritual, and social dimensions. These values are highly relevant to both formal and non-formal education as a means of strengthening the moral identity of younger generations. The study confirms that the Qur’an serves as a primary guideline for constructing a character education system that is adaptive to contemporary changes yet firmly rooted in divine principles. The implications highlight the necessity of synergy among educators, parents, society, and policymakers in creating a morally upright generation that is prepared to navigate the complexities of modern life.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low level of students’ awareness in participating in Indonesian language learning, their limited understanding of the teacher’s explanations, difficulties in performing roles properly and earnestly, as well as the lack of variation in the use of innovative and engaging learning methods. The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the role-playing learning model in teaching drama texts to eleventh-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sukagumiwang and to describe students’ learning activities when the role-playing model is implemented. The research employed an experimental method with class XI-9, consisting of 34 students, as the experimental group, and class XI-10, consisting of 36 students, as the control group. Data were collected through observations and tests (pretest and posttest). Based on statistical calculations using the independent sample t-test, the obtained t-value was 2.034, while the t-table value was 1.672. Since 2.034 > 1.672, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. These findings indicate that the role-playing learning model is effective for teaching drama texts to eleventh-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sukagumiwang. Observational data further demonstrate that the implementation of the role-playing model increases students’ activeness in performing drama demonstrations in class.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of interactive e-modules in enhancing elementary school students’ learning independence. The research employs a qualitative approach through a literature study of various national publications discussing the effectiveness of interactive e-modules in elementary education. Data were collected from scientific articles published within the last decade that met the criteria of relevance to e-module implementation and self-regulated learning. The analysis reveals that interactive e-modules play a significant role in fostering students’ autonomous learning through multimedia features, free navigation, automatic quizzes, and instant feedback that facilitate reflection and self-evaluation. Moreover, interactive e-modules support the pedagogical shift from teacher-centered to student-centered learning by positioning students as active participants in the learning process. However, successful implementation is influenced by teachers’ readiness, students’ digital literacy, and the availability of technological infrastructure. Overall, this study concludes that interactive e-modules are an effective digital learning innovation for promoting self-regulated learning among elementary students and are highly relevant to the demands of 21st-century education. Abstract

This study aims to identify students’ perceptions of the use of digital media in sixth-grade science learning at Ibnu Qoyyim SDIT Jami’atul Muslimin Dumai. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects were sixth-grade students and the science teacher, supported by additional informants such as the principal and other teachers. Data were analyzed using method and source triangulation. The findings indicate that students have positive perceptions of digital media, particularly Quizizz and animated videos. Questionnaire results show high scores on indicators of ease of use (85.43%), material mastery (84.78%), learning satisfaction (86.12%), activeness (85.21%), motivation (86.04%), and overall perception (86.52%), all categorized as “Good.” Interview and observation results further confirm that digital media enhance enthusiasm, participation, motivation, and assist in explaining abstract concepts. Quizizz also supports fast and interactive evaluation. This study concludes that digital media play an effective role in improving the quality of science learning by enhancing students’ understanding, motivation, and engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of socioeconomic status and the intensity of tutoring on students' academic achievement in Economics at State Senior High School 16, South Konawe. This type of research is quantitative research with an ex post facto approach. The study population consisted of all 80 students of class XI IPS of State Senior High School 16, and the entire population was sampled (saturated sampling). The independent variables in this study are socioeconomic status (X₁) and the intensity of tutoring (X₂), while the dependent variable is Economics learning achievement (Y). Data collection techniques used questionnaires to obtain data on socioeconomic status and tutoring, as well as documentation to obtain learning achievement data. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression tests using the SPSS program. The results of the study are expected to show that: (1) socioeconomic status has a positive and significant influence on student learning achievement; (2) the intensity of tutoring has a positive and significant influence on student learning achievement; and (3) socioeconomic status and the intensity of tutoring simultaneously have a significant influence on student academic achievement in Economics. These findings are expected to contribute to improving the quality of education through attention to students' socio-economic conditions and optimizing tutoring activities, both in and outside of school.
