Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work environment and organizational culture on employee performance at the Department of Cooperatives and SMEs, Makassar City. A quantitative approach was employed with a total population and sample of 78 employees through total sampling. Data were collected via a Likert scale questionnaire (1–5) and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results show that work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (β=0.377; t=5.027; sig.=0.000), thus H1 is accepted. Organizational culture also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (β=0.344; t=5.329; sig.=0.000), thus H2 is accepted. Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect employee performance (F=24.822; sig.=0.000). The coefficient of determination (R²=0.398) indicates that 39.8% of the variation in employee performance is explained by both variables, while the remaining 60.2% is attributed to other factors outside this model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of employee competence on operational employee performance at PT. Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) Makassar Office. This study used a quantitative approach with 40 employees as respondents. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire using a Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, instrument testing, simple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using the t-test with SPSS. The results show that employee competence has a positive and significant influence on operational employee performance (t = 9.914, sig. < 0.001). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.721, meaning employee competence explains 72.1% of the variation in operational performance. The company is advised to continuously improve training programs and periodically evaluate competency to support optimal operational performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of the concept of tazkiyatun nafs within the Islamic counseling approach as an effort to enhance individuals’ growth mindset. Tazkiyatun nafs is understood as a process of self-purification that emphasizes self-control, moral development, and strengthening closeness to Allah SWT. Meanwhile, a growth mindset refers to a way of thinking that believes an individual’s abilities can be developed through effort, learning processes, and perseverance in facing various challenges. The method employed in this study is a literature review by examining various relevant sources related to Islamic counseling, the concept of tazkiyatun nafs, and growth mindset theory.The findings indicate that the implementation of tazkiyatun nafs in Islamic counseling can be carried out through several techniques, such as muhasabah (self-reflection), repentance (taubat), remembrance of Allah (dzikir), and the reinforcement of spiritual values that encourage individuals to develop optimism, patience, and perseverance. These values are aligned with the characteristics of a growth mindset, including belief in the process, the ability to learn from failure, and the motivation to continuously improve. Therefore, the Islamic counseling approach that integrates tazkiyatun nafs not only functions to address psychological problems but also contributes to shaping a growth-oriented mindset grounded in spiritual values.

Abstract

terutama dalam konteks Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam pengembangan karakter dan moral siswa. Etika sebagai dasar perilaku manusia menjadi fondasi utama bagi guru dalam melaksanakan tugasnya secara profesional, bukan hanya sebagai pengajar, tetapi juga sebagai pendidik dan panutan. Guru profesional diharuskan memiliki keseimbangan kompetensi akademik, moral, dan sosial untuk dapat membentuk siswa yang berakhlak baik. Dalam pendidikan PAI, guru memiliki peran penting dalam menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai Islam lewat teladan, kebiasaan, dan pendekatan yang bersifat humanis. Namun, kemajuan teknologi dan dinamika masyarakat menimbulkan sejumlah tantangan, seperti krisis etika remaja, dampak media digital, serta kurangnya profesionalisme guru dalam menyesuaikan diri dengan perubahan. Oleh sebab itu, rekonstruksi peran guru PAI sangat penting, tidak hanya sebatas transfer pengetahuan, tetapi juga sebagai agen perubahan sosial yang mampu membentuk karakter siswa secara menyeluruh. Kerja sama antara guru, sekolah, dan orang tua merupakan elemen krusial untuk memaksimalkan pengembangan moral dan karakter siswa di zaman modern.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the causes of seat ring valve damage and its impact on the performance of the cargo oil pump aboard MT. Transko Antasena, as well as the efforts to overcome the issue. The research was motivated by a discharge delay during unloading of RON 90 cargo at Pare-Pare Port caused by leakage in the seat ring valve of tank 4P/S. A qualitative descriptive method was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation during the Sea Project period. Data were analyzed using the Fishbone diagram approach. The results show that the damage was caused by improper valve operation, component wear and corrosion, inconsistent SOP implementation, material limitations, environmental factors, and inadequate maintenance. The impacts include backflow, unstable pump pressure, decreased pump efficiency, discharge delays, and potential safety risks. Proposed solutions include improving crew competence, strengthening supervision, conducting routine maintenance, selecting appropriate materials, controlling environmental conditions, and optimizing the Planned Maintenance System (PMS). These efforts are expected to improve discharge efficiency and prevent similar incidents.

Abstract

The integration of science and the Quran is a learning approach that aims to eliminate the dichotomy between science and religious values ​​in education. To date, science and physics learning tends to emphasize cognitive and empirical aspects without linking them to spiritual values, resulting in students' understanding of science in a fragmented and less meaningful way. This research aims to examine the concept of science and Quran integration and analyze its implementation in science and physics learning. The method used in this research is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach, through the collection and analysis of various sources such as scientific journals, books, and relevant articles.The results show that the integration of science and the Quran can be achieved by linking scientific concepts to relevant Quranic verses, such as in the study of cosmology, physics, and biology.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing competition among educational institutions, particularly private schools, which requires effective marketing strategy management to maintain institutional existence and enhance competitiveness. MAS Laboratorium Jambi City, as an Islamic educational institution, possesses unique potential through its laboratory- and research-based learning approach; however, it faces challenges in transforming this potential into a competitive and persuasive marketing strategy. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of educational marketing strategy management and to examine its impact on the institution’s competitiveness. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and related stakeholders. The findings reveal that MAS Laboratorium Jambi City has successfully developed a positive public image through improvements in infrastructure and student achievements, which contributes to increased community interest despite relatively standard educational costs. However, the marketing strategies implemented are still partial and not yet fully integrated, particularly in terms of persuasive communication and consistent utilization of digital platforms. Therefore, strengthening integrated marketing strategies and optimizing digital engagement are essential to enhance the institution’s competitive advantage in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of children’s discipline through habituation of daily activities at the Olivia Zerlinda Orphanage Foundation. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving orphanage administrators and children as participants. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that discipline is fostered through structured and scheduled daily activities such as group learning, religious practices, and environmental maintenance. Furthermore, the assignment of responsibilities and the role of caregivers as mentors and role models strengthen the formation of disciplined behavior. Children who consistently participate in these activities demonstrate more orderly behavior, greater adherence to rules, and better time management. Therefore, continuous and consistent habituation of daily activities is proven effective in developing discipline among children and supporting character education within the orphanage environment.

Abstract

This article examines the integration, evaluation, and effectiveness of the halaqah method in guidance and counseling (GC) services. Halaqah, as a community-based learning approach rooted in Islamic scholarly tradition, has expanded beyond its origins in pesantren settings and is increasingly being adapted into BK practice across various school types. This study employs a literature review approach by analyzing scientific articles, journals, and books relevant to the topic. The findings indicate that the halaqah method, when integrated into GC services, is capable of promoting students’ self-disclosure, strengthening interpersonal conflict resolution abilities, enhancing emotional intelligence, and facilitating the internalization of positive character values. An evaluation of its implementation reveals supporting and inhibiting factors that counselors must understand before applying this method in the field. Overall, the halaqah method holds significant potential as a contextual, humanistic, and value-based GC service strategy, particularly in educational environments with strong religious orientations.

Abstract

School management plays a crucial role in instilling independence and responsibility, yet often faces challenges in innovation and governance. This study aims to analyze the role and strategies of visionary leadership in realizing effective and educational school management. Visionary leadership is future-oriented through the formulation of a clear vision, the implementation of data-driven management, and the strengthening of organizational culture and the utilization of technology. The results indicate that visionary leadership can encourage the achievement of organizational goals while simultaneously shaping student character. Furthermore, student involvement in organizational activities helps develop critical thinking skills, collaboration, and independence. Therefore, the integration of managerial competencies and educational values ​​is key to creating an adaptive generation.
