Abstract

This research aims to discuss the extent to which politeness strategies are applied by teachers and students in classroom interactions and to analyze the types of politeness maxims based on the theory proposed by Geoffrey Leech. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The research subjects involved are 1st-grade elementary school students, educators, educational staff, and parents of students at SDI Al Uswah Pamekasan. The findings of this research consist of the distribution of maxims analyzed based on Leech's politeness principles theory, with the percentage of usage of politeness principles and the 6 maxims of the politeness principle of tact ranking highest in their usage in conversations between teachers and students during the course of learning. The six maxims proposed by Leech include the maxim of tact, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of praise, the maxim of modesty, the maxim of agreement, and the maxim of sympathy. The conclusion of this research is that each maxim proposed by Leech can be found in the interaction process between teachers and students, with language delivery based on the principle of politeness.

Abstract

Abstract

Early childhood education plays a crucial role in shaping a child's developmental foundation. In an effort to understand how early childhood education can be enhanced, this research delves into the theme of "Participatory Communication Between School and Family in Early Childhood Education at RA At Thoriq Batam." The research employs a qualitative approach and analyzes the dynamics of communication and family involvement within the context of early childhood education. This research underscores the significance of effective communication between the school and families in establishing a balanced educational environment. The research findings reveal various strategies and factors influencing the level of family involvement in early childhood education. These findings provide a profound insight into how participatory communication can strengthen collaboration between the school and families, ultimately yielding positive impacts on the development of young children. The implications of this research underscore that efforts to build and maintain effective communication between schools and families must be a priority in the context of early childhood education.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the role of teachers/child assistants in implementing and the influence of implementing a merdeka curriculum system with the theme "I Love the Earth" on children's character from an early age at RA AL Jihad Malang. The type of research is qualitative with a case study approach method. Researchers used data collection techniques using interviews, documentation, FGD, and observation. The data obtained was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique which consists of four stages, ensuring data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The credibility test that the researcher carried out was through technical triangulation and source triangulation. It was found that the implementation of merdeka curriculum with the theme I love the earth has been implemented in full at the RA Al Jihad school since last year. The implementation of the curriculum is designed by teachers together concerning the academic calendar. The method that the teacher chooses in learning is the method of habituation and coaching as a way of instilling these character values. for example, through project activities such as processing compost, and planting kale and habits in daily life such as praying in the morning. The influence that can be felt on children is the realization of character formation such as religious character, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creativity, independence, curiosity, communicativeness, respect for achievement, and social care.

Abstract

Having children who grow up with strong characters is the hope of parents when choosing their children to start formal education. Early childhood education institutions (PAUD), with their various creative efforts also carry out development and innovation to achieve the expected output targets for parents who entrust their children to study in PAUD/TK so that later children are more prepared to enter further education and have good personality characteristics. This study took a sample of students from PAUD/TK with a perennialist curriculum, a general PAUD curriculum, and a religion-based curriculum. This real experimental research uses a cross sectional approach - one shot design involving a comparison group of students from public schools and religion-based schools, with the aim of testing the perennialist curriculum management on outputs. Sampling of the experimental and control groups was taken from TK A, TK B, and graduates who were in elementary school 4th grade (aged 9-10) years. The results of the hypothesis test show that there is a strengthening of character from Kindergarten A to Kindergarten B and SD Grade 4, where children can maintain the values ​​that are embedded while studying in PAUD/TK. The results of study also prove that there is a correlation between parents' motivation to send their children to school and parents' expectations of educational outcomes, which is indicated by differences in attitudes and behavior of children from PAUD/TK. Children with perennialist-based learning can show behavior of honesty, courage (brainly), cohesiveness, be helpful (mutual help) which is relatively stable, and show leadership (leadership) that stands out in class when sitting in education. base. Curriculum management with a perennialist approach is proven to foster values, self-efficacy and children's adversity quotient.

Abstract

It is very important to introduce art learning from an early age because it can explore children's potential, so appropriate methods are needed to teach it. This research aims to reveal music learning using the characterization method in early childhood at Favore Music School. When applying this method, children not only listen and hear the story but also take part in acting out the character of a character. This method is found in the Little Musician class which consists of four children aged 3-4 years (toddlers). This research is classified as qualitative research by describing findings that are important to collect, organize, organize and conclude clearly. To obtain these findings, collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, documentation and literacy studies. The results of this research are that the characterization method used in music material in the Little Musician Class can improve musical abilities in young children. Not only skills in identifying sounds and playing musical instruments, this method can train children's self-confidence when carrying out the roles requested by the teacher. Apart from that, children become more active and socialize with friends classmates because role-playing activities require children to interact with their environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukuan penerapan pembelajaran kreatif dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan nonformal bagi anak usia dini di Suku Anak dalam Desa Sekaladi Kecamatan Mestong, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak usia dini Suku Anak Dalam Desa Sekaladi. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan teknik wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumenter terhadap sumber data yang dibutuhkan, yang tujuannya untuk menerapkan pembelajaran kreatif bagi anak usia dini di Suku Anak Dalam Desa Sekaladi. Hasil dari penelitian ini ialah sebagai berikut; (1) Tim pengajar menerapkan pembelajaran kreatif dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan nonformal bagi anak usia dini di Suku Anak Dalam Desa Sekaladi dengan berbagai media pembelajaran yang mendukung pada saat proses pembelajaran yaitu : Pembelajaran pengenalan alat musik tradisonal dan modern, Pembelajaran literasi menggunakan media “Papan Literasi”, Pembelajaran berbasis Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi, Pembelajaran mendongeng menggunakan media Boneka Tangan, Pembelajaran Motorik dengan media “Portabel Sensory Path”, Pembelajaran seni melukis jari (Finger Painting), dan Pembelajaran menari. (2) Anak usia dini Suku Anak Dalam Desa Sekaladi sangat bersemangat dan memiliki minat besar dalam mengikuti kegiatan belajar dengan berbagi media pembelajaran dengan gabungan metode yang ada. Kesimpulannya tim pengajar yang menerapakan berbagai media pembelajaran yang ada membuat pembelajaran lebih baik dan anak-anak Suku Anak Dalam lebih aktif dan memiliki semangat belajar yang besar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pemanfaatan Platform Merdeka Mengajar dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK) terkait pembelajaran berdiferensiasi di Kabupaten Kediri. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah pada dua sekolah, yaitu TK Dw Mojosari dan TK Dw Putra Harapan Bleber, yang masing-masing berada di area urban dan semi-rural. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan metode triangulasi, penelitian ini menemukan peningkatan dalam kompetensi guru setelah penggunaan platform, terutama dalam memahami dan mengimplementasikan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar guru mengalami peningkatan kemampuan dalam merancang aktivitas pembelajaran yang responsif terhadap kebutuhan individual anak, dengan mayoritas responden (87,5%) melaporkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan mereka. Strategi utama yang diadopsi oleh para guru mencakup pengelompokan fleksibel dan penggunaan pusat pembelajaran, yang didukung oleh fitur-fitur interaktif dari platform. Namun, tantangan signifikan juga diidentifikasi, seperti keterbatasan waktu dan kesulitan dalam mengelola kelas yang lebih dinamis, terutama di TK yang berada di area semi-rural. Meskipun terdapat perbedaan dalam tingkat adopsi platform antara sekolah di area urban dan semi-rural, kedua TK melaporkan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pendekatan kontekstual dan responsif dalam pengembangan teknologi pendidikan, serta perlunya dukungan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital guru, khususnya di daerah yang kurang berkembang. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa Platform Merdeka Mengajar memiliki potensi besar dalam mendukung pengembangan profesional guru TK dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, namun keberhasilannya sangat bergantung pada faktor kontekstual dan dukungan yang tersedia.

Abstract

The provision of proper education for children is an essential responsibility in order to cultivate high-quality human resources. Early Childhood Education (PAUD) offers children a conducive learning environment, motivation to learn, and guidance to optimize their development. Strengthening the transition from PAUD to primary school is an activity aimed at enhancing PAUD and ensuring teachers have a solid foundation in delivering education at the elementary school level. This qualitative research aims to examine the readiness of children in facing the transition from PAUD to elementary school. The research adopts a descriptive approach and involves teachers at both PAUD and elementary school level 1 as subjects. The data collection techniques employed include interviews and questionnaires. The findings of the study reveal that in preparing for the transition, three key preparations are necessary: the readiness of the children themselves, supportive parents, and a well-prepared school environment. Emotional maturity of the child, parental support, and school readiness encompassing infrastructure, learning environment, and teacher competence in classroom management are crucial factors in this regard.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis STEAM merupakan pembelajaran yang mengkolaborasikan seperangkat pengetahuan sains, teknologi, rekayasa, seni, dan matematika untuk membantu peserta didik mengembangkan keterampilan dan kemampuan yang dibutuhkan sebagai bekal di masa depan. Adanya beberapa satuan PAUD di Kabupaten Tuban yang menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis STEAM, maka penulis tertarik untuk menganalisis proses penerapan pembelajaran berbasis STEAM pada anak usia dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan atau responden dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Satuan dan pendidik PAUD. Teknik validasi data menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil analisis data, diperoleh merupakan deskripsi gambaran penerapan pembelajaran berbasis STEAM pada anak usia dini sesuai dengan kenyataan yang ada.
