SPEKTA (Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat: Teknologi dan Aplikasi) dengan nomor registrasi ISSN 2723-8008 (cetak) dan ISSN 2723-8016 (online) adalah jurnal multidisiplin ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Universitas Ahmad Dahlan. Jurnal Ini merupakan jurnal yang mencakup masalah mengenai penerpan aplikasi teknologi kepdalam masyarakat. Tujuan publikasi jurnal ini adalah untuk menyebarluaskan pemikiran konseptual atau gagasan dan hasil penelitian yang telah dicapai di bidang pelayanan kepada masyarakat. SPEKTA (Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat: Teknologi dan Aplikasi) terbit sejak bulan Juni 2020 tepatnya sejak perilisan Volume 1, Nomor 1, Tahun 2020. SPEKTA (Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat: Teknologi dan Aplikasi) memiliki fokus utama pada pengembangan ilmu-ilmu di ranah pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Lingkup ranah pengabdian kepada masyarakat antara lain meliputi Teknologi Tepat Guna, Perancangan dan Pengembangan Produk, Technopreneur, Aplikasi Teknologi, dan Teknologi Informasi dan System Informasi. Setiap naskah yang masuk akan dibaca oleh tim editorial. Naskah-naskah yang dievaluasi oleh editor dan dianggap tidak sesuai dengan kriteria jurnal akan ditolak tanpa tinjauan eksternal. Naskah yang kami nilai berpotensi menarik bagi pembaca dikirim ke peer reviewer. Setelah dilakukan review naskah oleh reviewer, naskah akan dikembalikan kepada penulis untuk direvisi. Tim editor membuat keputusan berdasarkan rekomendasi reviewer. SPEKTA (Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat: Teknologi dan Aplikasi) terbit 2 kali dalam 1 Tahun yaitu bulan Juni dan Desember.

Abstract

Background: The problems of robusta coffee farmer in Aceh Barat Regency are lack of insight into the downstream potential of robusta coffee,  lack of business development ideas and farmer do not understand making financial reports, legality and business organizational systems. For this reason, assistance are needed to coffee farmers so that they develop their business and increase their income. Contribution: Increasing insight into potential utilization and marketing, entrepreneurial development ideas, business finance. Method: Community service was held on 11-13 November 2022 at Teuku Umar University. The approach taken is in the form of a process of education, training and mentoring focuses on three stages: (1) Education of potential beneficiaries and development of the Robusta coffee business (2) Assistance in preparing financial reports, business organization systems and technology adoption and (3) Socialization of efficient coffee marketing channels. Results: The process that goes through each stage is the purchase of red cherries for robusta coffee. There are 3 sub-districts that currently can become suppliers of robusta coffee in Aceh Barat Regency, namely Woyla Induk District, Samatiga District and Meureubo District. The three districts have taken samples and carried out the drying process to become green beans. After purchasing the fruit, the next stage is the process of drying, roasting, grinding and packaging. Conclusion: The participants who were accompanied were able to apply coffee powder packaging technology at IBT, understand the legality of the robusta coffee business, understand the marketing of the robusta coffee business

Abstract

Background: The problems and challenges that occur in Vocational High Schools (SMK) today are curriculum used is not aligned with the competencies, SMK graduates are not absorbed in the business world and the industrial world, the lack of quality products, competency test facilities, cooperation between companies, government agencies, the business world, and universities. Some of the weaknesses can be overcome through synergy between universities and vocational schools through Community Service activities, one of which is regarding CNC-based machines. Contribution: The contributionof this program is that the Pancasakti University of Tegal, especially the Faculty of Computer Science Engineering in collaboration with SMK Negeri 1 Bumijawa, will carry out learning activities for laser engraving machine training to enhance students' knowledge and experience. Method: The learning model used is theory and practice. The theory is given before practical learning or integrated during practice and at the last meeting an evaluation is held. Results: Training activities through this community service program are divided into several activities, including socialization of the laser engraving training program, Implementation of Theory and practice regarding Laser Engraving Technology, Post-Training Evaluation. Conclusion: The conclusion of this program states that the participants can increase their knowledge and understanding of laser engraving machine technology

Abstract

Background: This activity aims to increase the role of Bumdes Padaidi Sipodeceng through e-commerce information technology based on the Bumdes Sipodeceng Store application in improving the economy of the people of Sipodeceng Village. Contribution: This activity improves the welfare of the people of Sipodeceng Village through e-commerce information technology. Method: The method of this activity includes Socialization of the implementation of activities, Counseling by explaining the e-commerce information technology marketing model (BUMDES Sipodeceng Store), training and mentoring the use of information technology for BUMDES partner groups, carrying out assistance, as well as monitoring and evaluation. Results: Training and mentoring activities based on pre-test and post-test data analysis have positive implications for 3 parameters: knowledge from 42.14 to 89.14%, skills from 35.9% to 90.12%, and motivation from 63.2% to 93 .2%. From these data, an analysis of the effectiveness of these 3 parameters is carried out, the values of which are knowledge at 81%, skills at 85%, and motivation at 79%. These three numbers indicate that community service activities are effective because the value is above 50%. Conclusion: From these activities, it can be concluded that e-commerce information technology at BUMDES Padaidi Sipodeceng is still very much needed to increase the role of BUMDES in community empowerment.

Abstract

Background:  The rapid development of science and technology, the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and other technologies have had a huge impact on all walks of life in the society.With the continuous deepening of modern information technology such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things in education and teaching. Contribution: Smart education can promote the transformation of education concepts, reshape the space and structure of education and learning, promote fundamental changes in the level and structure of the education system, and lead the education system to overall innovation. Method:  Propose a Smart education realizations teaching model that can bring prerequisites for the upgrading of digital education. Results: Smart education is a high level form of education modeling and an essential requirement for education information to enter a new stage. Conclusion:  The proposed model can effectively address the shortcomings of traditional teaching methods and has effectiveness.

Abstract

Background: Information technology in community administration service has been developed in helping to raise the efficiency and productivity of the leader of Banjar Dinas works, as well as organizing and utilizing information to support administration and management, policy development and decision-making. Contribution: SINANAS (Administration Information System for Banjar Dinas) has proposed to support the works of “Kepala Lingkungan” in Sempidi for administration service and population reporting. Method: Using interview and participatory approaches, the application was used by training and socialization. The application was developed using Visual Studio Code and Python language programming. Results: The results of this community service are SINANAS reporting page for population data of education and livelihood, religion, ethnicity, race, number of population, family card, Temporary Resident Identity Card (KIPS), Temporary Resident Registration Certificate (STPPTS), Reporting page for religion, ethnicity, race, and population, Reporting page for total population based on single age group and gender Conclusion: Based on the post-questionnaire, “Kepala Lingkungan found that using the SINANAS application, producing annual and monthly administrative reports is easier and quicker than manually creating them in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Abstract

Background: The problem that occurs to the participants is that the learning media used in the learning process is currently not up to date, so that technological updates are needed to improve the quality of learning. However, to facilitate learning through the integration of the latest technology requires various teacher competencies, namely knowledge, attitudes and skills. Contribution: The contribution of this program is that the community service to conduct training and mentoring activities on how to develop metaversal-based virtual reality learning media to improve the quality of teachers at state vocational high school 1 Ngawi. Method: This service is carried out through five stages of activity, including analysis of field needs, manufacture of virtual reality products, early socialization, provide assistance and evaluation of the results of using virtual reality. Results: The result of this service activity is that the trainees understand the steps for developing learning media with virtual reality technology. This is based on the results of evaluating the achievement of training and mentoring programs involving 27 participants showing that based on the aspects of convenience, usefulness, attractiveness, and satisfaction, an average score of 92% is obtained. Conclusion: The conclusion of this program is that the metaverse-based virtual reality learning media that was introduced to the participants was very easy to apply, useful, interesting, and the participants were satisfied with the training provided

Abstract

Background: Determine the quality of hatching eggs and control the process of their embryonic development, it is necessary to perform candling of eggs, which makes it possible to identify and eliminate the causes of low hatching of chicks. Contribution: The proposed vision system for processing images of chicken eggs makes it possible to distinguish fertilized eggs from unfertilized ones, which makes it possible to change the parameters of the incubator in the event of a large number of dead embryos. Method: With the help of the National Instruments Vision Assistant module, which simplifies the collection, reproduction and storage of images recorded using a video camera connected via a FireWire interface, an incubator vision system has been developed. Results: The yield of healthy chicks is increased due to the periodic automatic candling of eggs and the timely regulation of parameters during the incubation process. Conclusion: Being able to monitor embryo development more closely allows you to determine the optimal time to change incubation parameters, such as humidity, to create the best conditions for egg hatching, leading to more efficient chick production. Similarly, the ability to use different light and temperature conditions to influence chick hatch time can allow for a faster incubation process and hatch healthy chicks in a shorter period of time.

Abstract

Background: University students have been using social media in an uncontrolled manner without knowledge of the negative impacts on their cognitive functionality. Therefore, an assessment of the alterations in the behavior pattern of the university students is required to associate the linkage between social media use and subsequent aggressiveness. Contribution: Current work has for the first time conducted a socio-behavioral study on the younger university students for gaining an insight into their inclination towards using different social media platforms and changes in their behavioral patterns. Method: University students (73 total; 35 males and 38 females) were chosen who had history of using social media for the last three to five years. These students were affiliated with higher education institutions in Pakistan and the time of analysis was September 2022 – January 2023. An open-ended questionnaire was filled and statistically analyzed for significance using Origin software and SPSS software Results: This work has identified significant relationship between the social media utilization and alterations in the behavior of university students. Different determinants worked upon in this research are the impacts of the social media on cognitive occupation, emotive functions, relapse, conflict, anger, and hostility. Conclusion: The study has associated and evaluated such behavioral factors as determinants of aggression in the younger generation. Also, the study has compared and contrasted the appearance of aggression as a pattern taking in consideration different gender roles to comprehend the role of gender in perceiving and adopting social media trends.

Abstract

Background: The community service held in Cikarang district was to develop local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Cikarang District and to develop ambidextrous skills in social media literacy and logistic management. The recent disruption called the COVID-19 pandemic swallowed all business in Indonesia. Many small businesses have to survive in the post-pandemic era. Conventional transactions are no longer viable in the new 4.0 industry.  Contribution: Training is necessary to improve the small and medium enterprises adopting the new industry revolution. Social media and logistics are two types of skills that are crucial for all SMEs if they want to survive with the current system. We provide the integration in understanding the logistics and social media as both production and marketing tools. Method: Based on the short survey, this workshop is very important to help local SMEs. We provide the participant with material, in-house training, and more in the workshop. We also provide a WhatsApp group for free consultation for further questions like permits, logistic analysis, and SME events.  Results: Based on the feedback and the participant's responses in the workshop, They hope to have another training to develop their business into a more efficient and agile business for competition. Conclusion: Logistics and social media prowess are the two most important skills SMEs need to improve their business locally before going into a bigger pond.

Abstract

Background: In the neighborhood of Ciung Wanara tourist area in the Ciamis district, 25 food stall owners have been selling for more than 10 years. They trade manually without having good entrepreneurial skills, do not use digital technology in marketing products, and do not have a formal business license. Contribution: This activity aims to provide understanding and knowledge of food stall owners about digital marketing and strengthen business legality permits. Method: The method applied uses a pattern of observation, training, socialization, direct face-to-face discussion (offline), as well as the direct practice of creating social media accounts and making business legality permits. Results: The output of this service produces two aspects for shop owners. First, in the digital marketing aspect, business actors already have social media accounts including Google business, Facebook marketplace, Instagram, and WhatsApp business. In addition, they can understand and operate these social media tools for their business activities. Second, the formal legal aspects of the business. Business actors already have a business license in the form of a firm recognition Number (NIB). Conclusion: This activity is very beneficial directly for business actors. Having social media can increase sales turnover. And having NIB, they can develop their business, support the security and comfort of doing business and get legal certainty in enterprises.
