Abstract

This Service community aims to improve the comprehension and skills of KWT Bungoeng Jeumpa members about the processing organic waste into compost based on cellulolytic microorganism bioactivators regarding the processing of organic waste into bioactivator-based compost to fulfill fertilizer needs in KWT Bungoeng Jeumpa. The methods of this service were counseling and practice, which consisted of the initial stage (preparation, survey, and focus group discussion), the implementation stage (Counseling and practice), and the evaluation at final stage. The target partners for this service activity were KWT, totaling 21 members. The instrument for evaluating this activity used a questionnaire and were analyzed descriptively. The results of this community service activity showed that the understanding and skills of KWT Bungoeng Jeumpa members increased regarding compost processing based on microorganism bioactivators, following the results of the evaluation where the understanding and abilities of KWT Bungoeng Jeumpa members increased by 28.57% and 14.25%.

Abstract

This community service aims to encourage fish farming groups by making snakehead fish feed that has economic value. The method of implementing this service was through socialization and training. The partners in community service activities were the Mina Jaya Abadi Fish Cultivation Group (Pokdakan) in Peresak Village West Lombok Regency. The evaluation was carried out by giving a pretest and posttest, which then been analyzed descriptively. The results of this community service activity were increasing the understanding and skills of partners regarding the use of yards, nutrition, and content of snakehead fish, and how to cultivate and make snakehead fish feed. In addition, partners also understood the opportunities for Snakehead fish for post-Covid-19 entrepreneurs. Based on the results of the activities that have been carried out, the PkM team also assisted with tools for making fish feed which could reduce production costs for buying commercial fish feed and use alternative feeds.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase community knowledge and skills in managing organic and inorganic waste through ECOMPOSTER (ecobrick and composter) programs. The method of implementing this service used counseling and demonstration methods, including educational activities on waste sorting, training on making ecobrick and compost using the Takakura method, and forming ecomposter cadres. The partners of this service were the people of Wonorejo Village RT. 5 and 6, Satui District, Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan Province. The instrument for evaluating this activity used a knowledge questionnaire which was statistically analyzed with a paired T-test, an attitude questionnaire which was statistically analyzed with the Wilcoxon test, and a final program evaluation questionnaire which was analyzed descriptively. The results of this service showed that there were significant differences in knowledge and attitudes before and after the provision of education, indicated by a p value <0.05 (0.0007) in knowledge and a p-value <0.05 (0.0036) in attitude. In addition, from the results of this activity, 15 households used the Takakura method of compost, and 23 households made ecobricks at their homes.

Abstract

This service aims to increase the knowledge and skills of the patchouli farming community in Teunom District in making compost based on patchouli distillation waste. The method of implementing this service used training, which included the stages of counseling, demonstrations, mentoring, and evaluation. Participants participating in this activity were patchouli farmers, totaling 15 people. The evaluation instrument for this activity used a questionnaire and was analyzed descriptively. This dedication showed (1) an increased participant's understanding of compost, and (2) an increased participant's skills in making patchouli waste-based compost.

Abstract

This service activity aims to increase the literacy awareness of the residents of Bumi Sari Village, Nagan Raya Regency, through a community education-based My Literacy corner. The method of implementing this service used mentoring and teaching. Partners in this service were the Nagan Raya Library Service, the Nagan Raya Education Office, the Environmental Care Alliance (APEL), the Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Service (KOMINFOTIK), and the Bumi Sari Village Government. The instrument used to measure the success of this community service activity was in the form of a questionnaire given to each person in charge of the literacy corner. This dedication resulted in implementing five literacy corner programs in Bumi Sari Village: Reading Corner, Writing Corner, Internet Introduction Corner, Computer Training Corner, and MS Introduction Corner Office. There was an increase in literacy among the people of Bumi Sari Village by 36.35%. This increase could be seen from the number of people before the activity, where only 34.41% understood literacy, then it increased to 70.76% after this community service activity. The response of the people of Bumi Sari Village, especially the parents, towards the literacy corner program was very good, judging from the number of children participating in learning in the literacy corner. This service activity could increase literacy awareness in Bumi Sari Village.

Abstract

This PKM activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of PKK women and Posyandu cadres in Kanje Campalaian Village regarding the dangers and efforts to prevent stunting. The method of implementing this service used health promotion based on community education. Evaluation instruments were pretest, posttest, and activeness when the activity took place. The analytical technique to determine the activity's success was by comparing the results of the pre-test and post-test that have been given. The service results showed an increase in the knowledge of PKK mothers and posyandu cadres regarding matters related to stunting, from 57% to 80%. Some of the materials that partners understood include the characteristics of stunting, the causes of stunting in relation to nutrition, and the long-term impacts caused by stunting cases. It means that the implications of this PKM activity have increased partners' knowledge and understanding.

Abstract

This service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of mothers in Slateng village, Jember, regarding making Moringa Leaves Gummy Candies to prevent stunting in toddlers. The method of implementing this service used interactive counseling. The instrument for evaluating this service was a questionnaire, which was analyzed descriptively, qualitatively, and quantitatively. The results of this service showed that the knowledge and skills of mothers as extension participants increased. It was evidenced by the data before the service process was carried out, the average participant knowledge was 66.25, and after the service was carried out, it became 70.62, so that there was a 4.37% increase in knowledge participants

Abstract

This service activity aims to improve the digital literacy skills of the teachers in SMP YPK Merauke through training in making e-books using the SIGIL application and interactive HOTs questions using Socrative. Implementing this service used training and mentoring based on partner needs. The instrument for evaluating this activity used a questionnaire consisting of 12 statements and was analyzed descriptively. The results of this activity showed that the teachers of SMP YPK Merauke created an interactive e-book using the SIGIL application, which contained not only pictures and text but also video and audio that could make it easier for students to understand the material and increase students' interest in learning. In addition, teachers at SMP YPK Merauke could compile interactive HOTs questions using Socrative, which consisted of questions in the form of multiple choices, true-false, and short answers. They could apply the questions in socrative in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This service activity aims to improve the competence of the Gejog Lesung Surontoko group through art training to support the Argomulyo Village cultural village pilot program. The method of implementing the service activity uses discussions, demonstrations, imitations, and drills. Data of this activity are collected using observation, interviews, and focus group discussion and are analyzed interactively. The results of this service activity show that members of the Gejog Lesung Surontokan art group have skills and insight in arranging songs in the form of rhythmic variations and voice harmonization by singers. In addition, a video work has been produced which can be used as a portfolio for managing cultural master numbers.

Abstract

The aim of this community service is to increase teachers' knowledge and competence related to computational thinking in school subjects and support the program of implementing computational thinking skills for elementary and junior and senior high schools. The method of implementing the service is in the form of a workshop which includes preparation activities, material presentation, and sessions for making CT-based questions. The material is collaborated with existing school subjects such as Mathematics, Language and Social and Physical Science. The target partners of this service are MI and MTs teachers who teach at the Islamic Boarding School of Selaparang Kediri in West Lombok who totaled 31 teachers. In the final session of the activity, an evaluation is carried out using a questionnaire and is analyzed descriptively. The results of this service show that there is an increase in computational thingking knowledge and teachers are able to infuse CT in the subjects they teach.
