Abstract

This study aims to analyze the inequality in access to Islamic education in Tambing Kekeq Hamlet, Aik Berik Village, Central Lombok Regency, by examining the factors that influence this disparity and its implications for the sustainability of community education. Educational inequality in this context is understood as a structural phenomenon influenced by geographic conditions, economic conditions, educational infrastructure, and policies that are not fully responsive to remote areas. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation and in-depth interviews with five respondents consisting of parents, students, community leaders, teachers, and village officials. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results show that the inequality in access to Islamic education in the study area is caused by geographic isolation that hinders student mobility, limited teaching staff and educational facilities, and economic pressures of an agrarian community that often makes education a low priority. These conditions result in low educational participation, high absenteeism rates, and the emergence of a gap in religious literacy between central and peripheral areas. These findings confirm that educational inequality is multidimensional and interconnected, forming a cycle of educational injustice. The implications of this research point to the need for more affirmative and region-based education policies, including strengthening educational infrastructure, equitable distribution of teaching staff, and innovative educational services based on geographic accessibility. This approach is crucial for realizing a more inclusive and equitable distribution of Islamic education in remote areas.

Abstract

This research was motivated by parental demands for early childhood literacy and numeracy learning before entering elementary school. This study aims to determine the strategies of early childhood education teachers in dealing with parental demands for literacy and numeracy and their impact on the development of children's literacy and numeracy skills at Bina Taqwa Islamic Kindergarten. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study research type. The research subjects consisted of class teachers, principals, and parents. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that teachers implemented various strategies, namely communication and education with parents, integration of literacy and numeracy learning through play activities, the application of the ATIK learning model, routine activities, literacy and numeracy environments, and collaboration between teachers and institutions. These strategies have an impact on the development of children's literacy and numeracy skills as demonstrated by the ability to recognize letters and numbers, simple number sequences, increased vocabulary through storytelling activities, starting to read simple words, and increasing children's interest and motivation to learn. However, several obstacles were still found, such as differences in children's abilities, parental involvement, and the risk of academic stress if the learning provided is not appropriate to the child's developmental stage. Therefore, learning to read, write, and count for early childhood needs to be done in stages, in a fun way, and in accordance with PAUD principles.

Abstract

Urban agroecosystem management faces pressures from urbanization, environmental degradation, and weak integration policies, resulting in a decline in the quality of ecosystem services. Sectoral approaches have not been able to systematically integrate ecological and social dimensions. This study aims to formulate a conceptual model for urban agroecosystem management based on the Socio-Ecological Systems (SES) framework as an integrative approach to sustainability. The method used is a systematic literature review of international publications in the last five years related to ecosystem services, green infrastructure, peri-urban agroecology, and collaborative governance. A total of 100 scientific articles were obtained through the search process, and after going through the screening process, a total of 15 articles were obtained as the main material for the scientific literature process in this study. The analysis shows that vegetation and biodiversity are ecological ecosystems that produce regulatory, provisioning, and cultural ecosystem services. These benefits contribute to improving environmental quality and community well-being. Adaptive governance, community participation, and ecosystem-based integration policies significantly influence the ecosystem system, creating positive feedback mechanisms. The developed conceptual model emphasizes the interconnectedness of biophysical and social components in building resilient and sustainable urban agroecosystems. This study proposes a new conceptual model based on socio-ecological systems that integrates biophysical, social, and tourism dimensions in urban forest agroecosystems by placing tourism experience as the main mediating variable in shaping the desire feedback mechanism.
