Abstract

In an increasingly interconnected world, public speaking skills are essential for high school students. These skills foster effective communication, build self-confidence, and prepare students for future challenges. This community service project aimed to enhance public speaking abilities among students at Madrasah Aliyah ‘Aisyiyah Sungguminasa. An audience-centered approach was employed, incorporating five stages: pre-presentation, early evaluation, orientation, post-presentation, and feedback. Forty-seven students actively participated in the training. While participants demonstrated increased basic public speaking knowledge and skills, mastering public speaking theory and practice required further development. Challenges included public speaking anxiety and technical difficulties, yet participants exhibited improved body language during the second presentation.

Abstract

SuleMu is a soy milk product produced by KL LazisMu SMP Muhammadiyah 7 (SMP MUTU) Colomadu, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java Province. Although SuleMu packaging has a label, it lacks nutritional information. Additionally, its marketing strategy is still traditional. Therefore, this community service aims to add nutritional information to SuleMu packaging and create a digital marketing platform. The implementation of this program began with coordination, nutritional analysis, packaging label redesign, digital marketing training, the creation of a SuleMu digital marketing platform, and evaluation. The results of the nutritional analysis of SuleMU per 100g were: protein (3.4g), fat (3.3g), sugar (5.1g), crude fiber (2.6g), and calcium (40mg). This data has been added to the new SuleMu label. For digital marketing training, the average pre-test scores for WhatsApp Business and Instagram materials were 72.57 and 73.14, respectively, while the average post-test scores were 87.43 and 81.43. SuleMu also now has digital marketing accounts on Instagram and WhatsApp Business.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have been recognized as crucial components and dynamic driving forces for various economies. The Indonesian government has paid serious attention to the MSME sector. One of the strategies for developing MSMEs to upgrade is through increased access to financing. However, the serious attention from the Indonesian government has not been maximized by MSMEs because it is not balanced with the ability related to financial management and taxation. Creative Space is an MSME Community, most of whose members are start-up companies that still lack knowledge of finance and taxation. The purpose of this community service is to provide financial education and tax obligations for Creative Space members. The method used is by providing guidance in preparing financial statements and tax reports. The results of the implementation of this financial and tax education are that all members of Creative Space can prepare financial statements and report the tax obligations that must be fulfilled by MSMEs.

Abstract

The lack of understanding and skills in utilizing limited land for productive activities has caused women in RT 4 RW 8 Cibangunkidul, Tasikmalaya City, to rely solely on the family head’s income. This community service program aims to empower the community through hydroponic farming education to improve family health and economic conditions. The implementation methods consisted of three stages: (1) Preparation Stage, involving situational analysis and problem identification; (2) Implementation Stage, covering education on seeding, nursery management, harvesting, as well as health and entrepreneurship training based on hydroponic products; and (3) Evaluation Stage, using pre-tests and post-tests to measure participants' knowledge improvement. The evaluation results indicated a significant increase in participants' understanding of hydroponic farming (83.4%) and the health benefits of hydroponic vegetables (77.8%). In addition to technical understanding, the program encouraged participants to apply their knowledge in daily practices, potentially enhancing family income and improving dietary habits. Thus, this empowerment program has proven to have a positive impact on the community’s economic and health conditions.

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are a global health threat, causing high morbidity and mortality rates worldwide, including in Indonesia. The Special Region of Yogyakarta ranks second nationally in the prevalence of NCDs. One of the preventive and control measures for NCDs is through Integrated NCD Posts (Posbindu PTM), targeting individuals aged 15 to 49 years. Recognizing the importance of involving adolescents in NCD prevention and control, this community service program aims to provide education and training for adolescents on NCDs and risk factor detection. The activities were conducted using lecture and roleplay methods, involving 12 adolescents as active participants. Participants were given an understanding of the functions and importance of Posbindu PTM, as well as strategies for preventing and controlling NCDs. During the training, participants took turns practicing as Posbindu PTM cadres, performing duties according to procedures at stations one through five. Evaluation results indicated a significant increase in participants' knowledge, with the average score improving from 71.6 to 87.5. It is expected that adolescents' involvement in this program can strengthen early detection and control efforts for NCD risk factors.

The goal is to supplement educators' materials for teaching tooth brushing, healthy eating, ablution procedures, tayamum, and interactive games to children, thereby enhancing knowledge acquisition. This service involves implementing these media into the learning process. Results indicate increased student knowledge of tooth brushing, healthy foods, ablution, and tayamum procedures, as well as improved engagement with interactive media.

This program will employ a hands-on approach, involving direct training and simulations using computers and mobile devices. Upon completion of the training, participants are expected to acquire the knowledge and skills to conduct digital marketing, ranging from creating marketplace accounts to designing product logos.
