Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the use of picture cards in recognizing Arabic numbers for early childhood. This study uses a literature study method, the data collection technique is by analyzing books, journals and articles that are still related to the research topic. The results of this literature review are the use of Arabic picture cards for early childhood is considered very relevant. By using picture cards, children are more enthusiastic in learning Arabic, the Arabic learning process is more enjoyable, children are easier to catch and understand each lesson to recognize numbers in Arabic. In addition, picture cards are an effective learning tool to improve the understanding of Arabic vocabulary in early childhood. Picture cards can make it easier for children to recognize between pictures and vocabulary, and encourage an active and effective learning process through singing together by showing the picture cards to children in turns, the use of picture cards is highly recommended in Arabic language learning activities in early childhood education institutions to make it easier for teachers and students to achieve these learning objectives. Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of development of educational game tools based on local wisdom culture in Rokan Hilir. Furthermore, the gross motor development of children at RA Raudhatush Sholihin is also under-stimulated. This study aims to develop an educational game tool Skipping Jump that has educational value in stimulating aspects of gross motor development in early childhood. The research method is a Research and Development (R&D) type development method with the ADDIE model. Data collection techniques use questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in the study are using data obtained from validator input at the validation stage, input from media experts and using statistical score calculations obtained from respondents' answers on a Likert scale.The results of this study were obtained based on assessments from media experts with a percentage of 93%, assessments from material experts were obtained at 96%, assessments from principals and teachers were obtained at 87.8%, so that the assessment from the validator questionnaire was categorized as "Very Appropriate". While the product trial assessment on children obtained a percentage of 90% with the category of "Very Appropriate". This study has implications for several aspects of indicators of children's gross motor development including the development of jumping with several challenges, working together with friends, adjusting the speed of the rope rotation to the speed of the jump, holding the rope correctly and rotating the rope with both hands alternately.

Abstract

Many young children haven't had varied and meaningful experiences with nature-based science, even though nature provides numerous resources for early childhood learning. Nature is also a wonderful place for learning, allowing children to explore their surroundings. Many children also don't know that sprouts are made from mung beans, fermented using only the simple ingredient of mung beans.Therefore, this study aims to apply nature-based science learning to improve children's cognitive abilities through planting mung bean seeds in children aged 5-6 years at Buah Hati Ibu PAUD. The research method used was qualitative with descriptive methods. The subjects in this study were educators and children in group B. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation.The results of the study show that the application of nature-based learning through the activity of planting mung bean seeds improves children's cognitive abilities. Children appear more enthusiastic and active, and are directly involved in every stage of the process, from planning to successful activities. This activity also builds self-confidence, independence, exploration, learning to plant mung bean seeds has been proven effective in developing critical thinking skills in children. In addition, children can also know the growth of sprouts/beans produced from mung beans.
