Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of finger painting activities on the fine motor skills cerebral palsy in inclusive center therapy services in Kecamatan Karanganom, Kabupaten Klaten. This research uses quantitative methods with Single Subject Research (SSR). The design used in this study was A1-B-A2 or baseline1 – intervention – baseline2. The subject used in this study was a cerebral palsy child in the inclusive center therapy service in Kecamatan Karanganom, Kabupaten Klaten. The technique used in data collection is a performance test with 21 questions. The validity test uses the content validity test. This study used inter-ratter reliability. The assessment instruments in this study have been validated to three experts in the fields of materials, media and measurement. The data from the study were analyzed using descriptive analysis presented in the form tables and graphs using analysis components in conditions and between conditions. The results showed an increase in fine motor skills through finger painting activities with a mean at baseline1 of 49,31, intervention of 62,32 and baseline2 of 73,33. Based on the results this study, it can be concluded that finger painting activities have an effect on improving fine motor skills of cerebral palsy children in inclusive center therapy services in Kecamatan Karanganom Kabupaten Klaten.

Abstract

Autism is an overall developmental disorder that causes problems with behavior, abilities,socialization, and communication. Autistic children have very complex problems that requirespecial attention to help them interact well. This research examines the characteristics of childrenwith special needs in autistic children and how to learn using audio-visual media. The researchmethod used is a qualitative method. The results of research using audio-visual media can beused for learning for autistic children. With audiovisual media, autistic children can communicatethrough movements that have been broadcast via audiovisual media. This can traincommunication in autistic children.

Abstract

Inclusive education is a form of education without discrimination that provides opportunities for children with special needs to obtain the same education and makes schools a comfortable place for children to receive education. This study aims to know and describe the process of implementing inclusion education and the implications of inclusion education in realizing learning in diversity in schools. The approach used is a qualitative approach with a case study method. This research was conducted at SDN Batok Bali which organizes inclusion education. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation study. The results showed that the inclusion education process at SDN Batok Bali was carried out as well as the learning process in general, using the national education curriculum. It's just that students with special needs are given additional learning activities after school and there are assessment sheets given to parents to assist teachers in designing learning programs that suit student needs. The results of the questionnaire distributed to 6 respondents showed that 93% of teachers answered correctly and 7% of teachers answered incorrectly. This shows the implications of inclusive education in realizing learning in diversity at SDN Batok Bali.

Abstract

This study aims to apply the Concrete Representational Abstract (CRA) strategy in learning mathematics about flat shapes; namely the concept and shape of a square, rectangle and circle for mildly disabled students. Because flat shapes are objects that learners often find in everyday life. The subjects of the study were 2 female and 1 male mildly intellectual disability in class IV-A. The method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which aims to improve and improve the quality of learning through several actions, identification, planning, implementation, and reflection. The results showed that after this research was carried out there was an increase in the understanding and learning outcomes of students, this can be seen from the average test scores obtained by students increased in each cycle. The average pre-test score was 63, the first cycle was 83, the second cycle was 83, and the post-test was 87, meaning that there was a significant increase from the pre-test score of 63 to the post-test score of 87, with a steady increase after the first cycle. Thus, the use of the CRA strategy can improve the learning outcomes of students in class IV-A SLB Negeri Pembina Yogyakarta in mathematics. Class mastery and the application of the CRA strategy in teaching and learning activities are important factors in the success of learning.

Abstract

Individuals with autism have barriers to social communication and need methods to improve their social communication. The application of  the intervention aims to determine the improvement of children's social communication consisting of communication skills as a basis for developing social skills with the subject being an 18-year- old woman who has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who attends SLB Harapan Bunda Surabaya. Improved communication skills are obtained by visual social story method and improved social skills using role play method. The results of the application of the intervention showed that there was an improvement in the communication skills of subjects who became the basis for the development of social skills in adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Abstract

The implementation of inclusive education has many roles contained in it. Each role supports each other in order to create inclusive education for students. This research aims to find out how implementation of inclusive education in inclusive junior high school level in Padang City. Type of research carried out qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques through direct interviews with Special Assistant Teachers (GPK) and supported by data obtained during field observations. Based on research that has been carried out, it was found that there are 4 types of Children with Special Needs (ABK) at this school for the 2022/2023 academic year, including blind, low vision, learning difficulties, and autism. This junior high school uses the regular (national) curriculum, namely the 2013 curriculum and the Independent Curriculum which has not been modified according to the needs and characteristics of students with special needs. In its implementation at this school there is an Individual Learning Program (PPI). Apart from that, this school also has a Special Assistant Teacher (GPK) in the learning process. The assessment techniques used are the same between ABK and regular students. In terms of School facilities and infrastructure already exist but are not yet optimal. Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of inclusive education in Padang City, one of which is SMAN 7 Padang City. The research method uses qualitative research methods descriptive. The data collection technique was carried out by observation and interviews with resource persons, namely selected educators/counseling teachers teknik sampling purposive. The research results obtained are that the implementation created in inclusive education at SMAN 7 Padang City is running as it should, the school has succeeded in implementing inclusive education for children with special needs. Acceptance of children with special needs at SMAN 7 Padang City, namely ABK with disabilities and specific learning difficulties. ABK is accompanied by a special educator from the BK teacher. However, the GPK at SMAN 7 Padang City is not an expert educator from special education. The GPK at SMAN 7 Padang City is a teacher who has participated in an inclusive education training program and an internship at one of the State Special Schools in Padang City. Abstract

The availability of equal access to education for all parties is the main mission of Islamic education, including for students with special need (SWSN). Madrasah as one of Islamic education has reforms to be better in quality, accreditation, and user access. This study aims to explore the practice of inclusive education (IE) in Madrasah. This study used an exploratory descriptive quantitative research approach. The data gained by online surveys (to educators and both regular and SWSN students’ parents) on Java Island. This study uses Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory to analyze each founding. This study shows that the first hierarchy of Maslow's theory, namely physiological needs, is realized in the form of fulfilling facilities in inclusive practices in madrasahs. The next is the second hierarchy of security of the body needed by students with needs, including fulfilling the need for supporting tools for their learning process. Employment can be realized by having teachers who make it easier for students with needs to learn. The resources needed are in the form of learning resources that are in accordance with the characteristics of each limitation of students with needs. Furthermore, the third hierarchy is the need for love and a sense of belonging in the form of a sense of belonging to education together. Furthermore, the form of esteem need is in the form of a shared desire to make the inclusive program a success. Finally, self-actualization is realized by achieving the potential of each student. The findings of this study also confirm that collaboration between educators and parents are environment support that develop smeaningful learning quality and lead students to reach self-actualization successfully.

Abstract

Reading and writing are the basic abilities of a learner in the world of education. By reading a student is able to obtain information using word media while writing makes a student able to transform ideas through writing that can be read by others. Apart from normal students, reading and writing are also abilities that must be possessed by inclusive children. This study aims to look for problems in SDLB Purwosari, namely to find out the increase in reading and writing skills through FLEADIO media (flashcard braille animals and audio) in blind children. This study applies a problem-based learning approach, which is a quasi-experimental methodology. Performance evaluations, interviews, and observation are among methods used in data collecting. The analysis of the data was done with basic descriptive statistics. A sixth-grade student at SDLB Purwosari served as the research subject. The study's findings demonstrated that using FLEADIO (braille animals and audio flashcards) media improved the reading and writingabilities of SDLB Purwosari's class VI pupils.

Abstract

This research aims to design a family-based toilet training program for children with mild cerebral palsy, diplegic type. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were HW, an 8-year-old child with cerebral palsy, and her family. Data collection was carried out by interviewing parents and observing parent and child activities related to toilet training as well as toileting ability tests carried out on a child to clarify the data found. Based on the results, it was found that the parents had carried out toilet training activities but HW was still unable to do it because there were several obstacles including the motor aspect where the child was not being able to squat. Based on these problems, a program was created for parents to teach their children using task analysis and continuous training using portable toilets for children. This program specifically emphasizes several aspects, namely parental knowledge, physical readiness, intellectual and psychological readiness
