Abstract

Student Practical Work and Service aim to serve themselves to society and help deal with the problems they face in the hope of being able to apply the knowledge gained through the education process on campus. The UHN Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) formed and provided the KPPM 47 program as a form of contribution in advancing general welfare and can make the nation's life more intelligent. KPPM Period 47 will be held on 05 February – 24 February 2024, in Simalungun district, Dolok Pardamean sub-district, especially Pariksabungan village. In carrying out this activity, students are expected to be able to help the area and its residents to develop the economy, preserve culture, and improve the welfare of society as a whole. The application method in implementing KPPM 47 is based on the results of field observations in Pariksabungan village, interviews and literature study. There are several activity programs carried out by students in the form of improving facilities and cleanliness at the Pinus Hills tourist attraction, reducing waste at the Tekosima natural tourist attraction on both sides of the road to Bukit Indah Simarjarunjung, teaching staff and additional/extracurricular classes in Mathematics and English at SDN 091401 and cleaning activities. at the Pariksabungan village office. The results of this research are: 1) Improving the facilities and cleanliness of the natural tourist attractions in Pariksabungan village, 2) Increasing and broadening the knowledge of students' interest in learning at SDN 191401 Pariksabungan, 3) Increasing public awareness in reducing waste at the natural tourist attractions of Tekosima to Bukit Indah Simarjarunjung. 4) Increasing good cooperation between students and Pariksabungan Village Government Apparatus through cleaning activities at the Pariksabungan village office

Abstract

Abuan Village, Susut District, Bangli Regency is a village where most of the residents are SME (Micro Small Medium Enterprises). The main problem faced by SME actors in Abuan Village is the problem of limited insight and knowledge possessed related to simple bookkeeping records in their MSME businesses. Therefore, the purpose of the service of Group 11 KAT Ngurah Rai University is to help improve the ability of SME actors to record books that are simple and easy to understand. The method used in the implementation of community service in Abuan Village is the approach method by conducting door-to-door socialization regarding recording simple financial statement bookkeeping to MSME actors around Abuan village, Susut District, Bangli Regency. The result of the activities carried out by Group 11 KAT of Ngurah Rai University is that business actors state that implementing bookkeeping in businesses has a positive effect and is very important to be used for businesses to know how to calculate business profit or loss and measure their business capabilities. For this reason, this activity is expected to contribute to how to compile books between income and expenditure, and it is expected that MSME actors can practice directly so that it can facilitate the process of recording cash flow and performance obtained by SME

Abstract

Currently, the world of fashion sells a lot via e-commerce. The main cause of this condition is the fashion world's target consumers who focus on the productive age group, namely 15 - 64 years old. However, for young people's fashion, many people aged 15 - 40 are looking at it. This condition then led to the growth of very tight fashion competition. Therefore, fashion businesses need to design a systematic business strategy to ensure the sustainability of their business. One of the business ventures that is facing the current competitive situation with fashion is Paul Distro Clothing. Focusing on men's clothing products, namely t-shirts with character motifs, are the main products. Paul Distro Clothing is one of the business actors who is facing competition in the fashion business, such as the emergence of new competitors with the same products, thrift products which are being loved by young people. This assistance is also needed so that business continuity continues well. The output target of this community service activity is to increase knowledge of partners' business strategies as a business sustainability effort.

Abstract

The perception of mathematics as a compulsory subject in school is often negative. To address this challenge, a service-learning initiative was implemented at SMAN 1 Sambas, employing a game-based pedagogy. Mathematics seminars and exhibitions were organized by Mathematics Study Program to enhance students' engagement and comprehension of mathematical concepts. The effectiveness of this approach was evaluated through a questionnaire, which revealed a high level of approval among students regarding the relevance, motivation, understanding of mathematical principles, problem-solving abilities, and playing skills in mathematics learning. This approach is expected to change students’ perception of mathematics and improve their learning outcomes

Abstract

Safety and security of shipping traffic flow is an important aspect in maintaining safe and efficient maritime activities. However, the practice of arbitrarily setting up trawlers or fish catchers in the waterway area traversed by PT WMI Biak ships is faced with serious challenges that can interfere with shipping safety and security. To overcome this problem, a service initiative was conducted through the means of disseminating information or conducting educational sessions by involving resource persons from the Syahbandar and Port Authority Office (KSOP) and the Water and Air Police (Polairud) as well as 30 respondents. Through a series of socialization activities, the surrounding community was given a comprehension of the significance of adhering to safety and security regulations regarding maritime traffic flow. The results showed that there was a question and answer discussion by the community with the resource person on the risk of arbitrary trawling or fishing practices in the waterway, as well as reducing the potential for disruption to shipping activities. This makes if this socialization attracts community interest in contributing to creating a safer, more orderly and sustainable water environment for all parties involved in maritime activities

Abstract

WHO states the limit of blood pressure is 120-140 mmHg and systole pressure 80-90 mmHg. This hypertensive disease is often found in developed communities, both men and women, young and old and the symptoms are not clearly visible. These diseases are referred to as silent diseases and are a major risk factor for the development or cause of heart and stoke disease. When not controlled it will cause damage to other organs, such as the brain, kidneys, and eyes and paralysis of the organs of motion. The purpose of this activity is to educate patients giving celery leaf decoction and cucumber juice therapy to lower blood pressure. The service method uses counseling methods using booklets and simulations The target audience in this activity is people with hypertension in the working area of the Sigalingging Health Center, Parbuluan District, Dairi Regency. The resulting output is in the form of a booklet on the therapy of celery leaf decoction and cucumber juice to lower blood pressure in patients with hypertension. Conclusion with the media booklet and simulation of patients with hypertension, it is easier to know and understand about the therapy of celery leaf decoction and cucumber juice to lower blood pressure in patients with hypertension

Abstract

During the current development period, economic value plays an increasingly important role and the existence of souvenir products is very promising as a business opportunity, plus there are tourism areas, especially in Palangka Raya. Therefore, this training and mentoring activity is encouraged and it is hoped that it can be used by PKK women as a very promising side activity. The more widespread the development of knowledge and skills in food product processing, the tighter the competition in the field of food product processing. Apart from processing, good food packaging that can attract buyers, this is something that needs to be improved. Papaken/Paken (Durio zibethinus sp.) A specific type of fruit that is widely found in Central Kalimantan and is a type of plant that has priority for development in the Multipurpose Tree Type (JPSG) development program. Paken is a plant that grows in almost all areas of Kalimantan. From the results achieved in the activity, the PKK team and women succeeded in making dodol made from paken from Palangka Raya, so it is hoped that in the future it can be produced as a typical Kalimantan souvenir

Abstract

This community service is carried out in order to advance SMEs from Jaserco members so that they are known and build networks at the Jaserco Gathering event carried out by the Jaserco Community, Jaserco Gathering 2023 Committee, representatives of lecturers from Bina Bangsa University and Satya Negara Indonesia University in the form of promoting SMEs and building digital economy in Serang City for Jaserco members who have businesses to be known by other community members. This activity was planned two months in advance with open booth promotions for both SMEs and sponsorships, then a simple booth was created that could be recognized and build a customer network through fellow members of Jaserco community in Serang City. The number of SME members of Jaserco is actually large, but approximately 10 SMEs participated with limited space and time. This activity aims to increase promotion of members who own UKM so that they are better known and build a digital UKM economy. This program will be planned regularly every year so that new SMEs emerge and motivate Jaserco members

Abstract

The community service carried out by IAIN Palangka Raya KKN students aims to develop the talents and creativity of teenagers in Palingkau Sejahtera Village. There is also a method used in this service, namely mentoring activities carried out by KKN students for teenagers in Palingkau Sejahtera Village. There are also research results resulting from the service during this KKN, namely that the teenagers in the Palingkau Sejahtera village who have taken part in regular regular training activities have been able to develop their talents and creativity, apart from that, they have also been able to appear in large events. in the village of Palingkau Sejahtera, namely the 10th of Muharram event, where in this event the teenagers who appeared in the event were given full appreciation by the community as well as the local village head

Abstract

In Indonesia, social media has become one of the most popular platforms among young people. However, the high use of social media is not balanced with awareness of the negative impacts it can have, one of which is hoaxes. Hoaxes, disinformation and misinformation are often discussed in the digital world and on media internet, and it can be said that the spread of hoaxes in Indonesia is influenced by low digital literacy. Many people are not yet fully aware of the impact of media on various life contexts. Responding to this phenomenon, a team from the Indonesian Wiyata Management Institute and Ma'soem University held community service regarding social media literacy training related to hoax prevention for high school students in Sukabumi Regency. The aim of this community service is to increase knowledge and awareness regarding the impact of social media, especially to provide awareness of the importance of social media. In this community service, the approach used is lecture and discussion
