PaKMas (Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat) juga meliputi kegiatan pengabdian, seperti: bidang ilmu pengetahuan, sosial, ekonomi, kesehatan, budaya, terapan, pengembangan TIK, dan pelayanan administrasi. Serta pelatihan dan peningkatan hasil pendidikan, pertanian, informasi dan komunikasi, pengajaran, pemberdayaan komunitas (komunitas pelajar dan pemuda) dan organisasi masyarakat secara berkelanjutan. Jurnal PaKMas terbit 2 kali setahun pada bulan Mei dan November.

Abstract

Quality education is a crucial foundation for sustainable development, as emphasized in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the fourth goal regarding inclusive and quality education. In the era of Industry 4.0, education must rapidly adapt to technological changes and enhance educators' competencies to equip the younger generation with future skills. Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL) has adopted the K-13 Curriculum with the Living Curriculum concept to align learning with students' real needs and global challenges. Despite implementing various innovations, SIKL faces challenges in implementing the new Merdeka Curriculum, which offers flexibility but requires adjustments in teaching methods and evaluation. This knowledge gap threatens the quality of education and the development of 21st-century skills for students. To address this, a team of lecturers from Universitas Negeri Surabaya conducted a Community Service Program (CSP) aimed at enhancing teachers' competencies in effectively implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. The implementation method includes online training divided into three sessions: Focus Group Discussion (FGD), presentation of learning models, and evaluation techniques. The CSP activities resulted in a significant increase in teachers' understanding and skills, with average scores rising from 68 to 86, and improvements in utilizing technology and data-based evaluation. This activity successfully strengthened teachers' competencies, making them better prepared to meet global educational demands and advance teaching quality at SIKL.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase awareness and participation of the Sukawati, Gianyar community in waste sorting efforts as an initial step towards a sustainable environment. The problem of waste management in this area is still a major challenge, especially related to the lack of knowledge and awareness of the community regarding the importance of waste sorting. This activity includes socialization and education through counseling, group discussions, and direct practice at the Pasar Seni Sukawati, Gianyar. Socialization and group discussion focuses on explaining the types of waste, the benefits of sorting, and the negative impacts of improper waste management. Direct practice was carried out by educating traders at the Pasar Seni Sukawati in sorting organic, inorganic, and residual waste and utilizing recyclable waste. The results of this activity show an increase in public knowledge and awareness of the importance of waste sorting. In addition, active community participation in this activity indicates a commitment to implementing waste-sorting habits in everyday life. This community service activity contributes directly to the Sukawati, Gianyar community by increasing awareness and participation in waste sorting, to create a cleaner and healthier environment.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the degenerative diseases, where the number of diseases will continue to increase as a person ages. Hypertension itself can cause several complications such as CHD, stroke, kidney failure, diabetes mellitus, and even hypertension can be a factor causing sudden death because sometimes someone who suffers from hypertension does not experience any symptoms. The purpose of community service entitled "Potassium as a Solution for Hypertension" is to increase public knowledge about hypertension and how to prevent it. The community service techniques used are lecture methods on hypertension and how to prevent it, as well as direct practice of several ways to prevent hypertension in the form of hypertension exercises for the elderly and making cucumber juice containing potassium, magnesium, and vitamin C, which can lower blood pressure. The questions for Pre-Test and Post-Test were modified based on the material discussed and consisted of 5 true or false questions. The community service activities carried out in RT 07 RW 02 Kelurahan Singonegaran, Kota Kediri, succeeded in increasing public knowledge about hypertension and how to prevent it. The results of the activities showed that the average correct answer in the pre-test was 42.8%, increasing to 89.2% in the post-test. Maintaining a diet, diligently doing physical activities, and also drinking cucumber juice which contains substances to lower blood pressure, is highly recommended for residents of RT 07 RW 02 Kelurahan Singonegaran, Kota Kediri, to be done regularly every day.

Abstract

Bitter melon is very beneficial for health, especially in the treatment of diabetes. The compounds contained can increase immunity, insulinmimetics, polyphenols which reduce blood glucose. Making bitter melon rice is a simple technological breakthrough to increase consumption of bitter melon more easily and comfortably considering that bitter melon fruit contains quite a lot of sap and a high bitter taste. This journal explains the processing of bitter melon fruit into bitter melon rice which is more practical for general consumption, especially for diabetes sufferers. Making bitter melon rice requires that the bitter melon fruit is still green because it contains momorcidin and other compounds which are still abundant and have not undergone a ripening process. Making bitter melon rice can be done by mixing fruit that has been washed and soaked in salt water, then mashing the bitter melon fruit with sago flour then steaming and cutting it into small pieces resembling rice. The results obtained from the nutritional value of processing bitter melon fruit into rice are known to have a higher fiber content and lower calorie and sugar value compared to rice and this is very good, apart from that the carbohydrate content of bitter melon fruit after being processed into bitter melon rice is 20.22 g lower with The carbohydrate value of rice is 39.8 g per 100 grams, therefore bitter melon rice is very good for consumption by diabetics.

Abstract

The efforts to enhance the understanding of religious moderation in the Bengkalis District aim to strengthen tolerance and social harmony in a diverse society. This community service program is designed to provide education and outreach on the values of religious moderation, such as tolerance, respect, and rejection of extremism. The approach used in this program includes seminars, workshops, and interactive discussions involving various elements of the community, including religious leaders, youth, and local communities. Active participation from different parties is expected to increase the effectiveness of conveying the messages of moderation. The evaluation shows a significant improvement in the community's understanding and attitudes regarding religious moderation. Not only has awareness increased, but the program has also successfully fostered mutual respect among different religious groups. This improvement is reflected in the following indicators: Inclusive and Tolerant Attitudes increased from 40% to 75%, Neutral Attitudes decreased from 35% to 20%, and Exclusive and Intolerant Attitudes dropped from 25% to 5%. Thus, this initiative not only provides short-term positive impacts but also has the potential to become a model for implementing similar programs in other areas. These efforts are expected to contribute to the creation of a more harmonious, tolerant society that can coexist in diversity. The program emphasizes the importance of interfaith dialogue as a foundation for inclusive and peaceful social development, which in turn supports sustainable national development. This program reflects a structured and holistic strategy in promoting religious moderation and building a cohesive society.

Abstract

Government Regulation Number 58 of 2023 brings significant changes to the calculation of Income Tax (PPh) Article 21, which will take effect in January 2024. These changes not only affect company employees but are also important for Vocational High School (SMK) students who will work as tax staff. A community service activity in the form of a socialization about the changes in the PPh Article 21 calculation scheme was conducted for 75 students of the 11th grade in Accounting and Financial Institutions at SMK Negeri 3 Depok on July 22, 2024. This socialization aims to provide a deep understanding and enhance students' readiness for the workforce. The methods used include practical socialization accompanied by pre-tests and post-tests to measure students' understanding. The results show an increase in students' understanding from 69.5% before the socialization to 94.2% after the socialization. This activity successfully improved students' knowledge of taxation and its relevance to national economic development.

Abstract

Empowering BUMDes for Business Development in Cinangka Village, Cinangka District, Serang Regency, Banten Province has much potential, particularly in the home industry, for processing melinjo fruit into products like Emping. However, partners face several issues in their business, including (1) production processes that are still conventional; (2) The lack of knowledge and management skills of BUMDes "Business Development" managers towards optimizing community economic empowerment; (3) The sales method is still manual, namely by leaving it at the nearest food stall, so it is still tricky for sales volume to reach the maximum target; (4) Not yet registered and has a trademark with the Directorate General of KI, Ministry of Law & Human Rights. Therefore, this Community Service aims to provide training and assist partners in managing BUMDes "Business Development" from the production process of making products to product sales methods to increase partners' sales results so that the local community's economy improves. This community service uses a participatory method, with the Cinangka Village "Business Development" group as the training target. The series of activities will be carried out in four stages: stage 1, analysis of the situation and conditions of partners; stage 2, preparation and technology transfer; stage 3, training and mentoring; stage 4, evaluation and program sustainability. The implementation of activities resulted in an overall increase of 85.28%, beginning with the production process, knowledge, and management skills for managing BUMDes' "Business Development" and product sales.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the training of differentiated learning as an implementation of the independent curriculum at SMK YPPP Wonomulyo. This activity is part of the trauma of community service through training, which aims to improve teacher competence in applying differentiated learning as an implementation of the independent curriculum. The training was conducted offline with 11 participants from various disciplines. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The training was conducted through 3 stages, namely (1) preparation, (2) implementation through presentations, discussions, questions and answers, and analysis of learner characteristics, and (3) evaluation through questionnaires and observations. The questionnaire results showed that implementing training activities had gone well and provided significant benefits for participants, especially regarding material clarity. The training significantly contributes to the professional development of teachers at SMK YPPP Wonomulyo, especially in the application of differentiated learning. By applying more personalised and relevant learning strategies, SMK student motivation and engagement in the learning process are expected to increase.

Abstract

This scholarly oration discusses the importance of building cross-generational synergy in modern organizations in the digital era. With a workforce comprising four main generations (Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z), organizations face challenges and opportunities in fostering effective collaboration. The oration explores concrete strategies to enhance team synergy and performance, including mentoring programs, cross-generational team formation, and generational awareness training. The role of digital technology in facilitating collaboration is also discussed, along with successful examples of organizations that have built cross-generational synergy. Implications for education and leadership development are outlined, emphasizing the importance of adapting curricula to prepare future leaders capable of effectively managing cross-generational teams. The oration also addresses challenges such as differences in values, work styles, and expectations across generations, as well as stereotypes and prejudices that can hinder collaboration. However, these differences are also viewed as opportunities for two-way learning and skill exchange. The importance of creating an inclusive work environment that values diversity is highlighted. Finally, the oration emphasizes that building cross-generational synergy is a valuable investment for the future of organizations, capable of creating a collaborative, innovative, and sustainable work environment.

Abstract

This community service activity (PkM) was carried out based on information on the fact that teachers experienced difficulty in preparing PMM Real Actions and creating real action designs using Canva. Therefore, the aim of this PkM activity is to provide assistance in using Canva to create real PMM actions for teachers at SMPN Neonbat Kefamenanu. The implementation method consists of the preparation stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage. The instruments used were comprehension questionnaires and response questionnaires. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in the participants' understanding as seen from the average score before the activity of 1.6 to 3.3 after the activity. And there was also 1 real work that was successfully uploaded to the PMM account of one of the participants after participating in this activity. Apart from that, there was a very satisfying response from the activity participants. The conclusion of this PkM activity was that this activity had been successfully carried out, marked by an increase in understanding of the activity participants and a very satisfying response from the participants.
