Abstract

Code-mixing is a form of language variation that commonly occurs in bilingual and multilingual societies, including Indonesia. Films, as representations of social life, often depict code-mixing in character dialogues, reflecting the linguistic dynamics of society. This study aims to (1) describe the forms and types of code-mixing found in the speech of the characters in the film Agak Laen and (2) identify the social dynamics, identity, and language culture represented in the film. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a sociolinguistic perspective. Data were collected through listening and note-taking for the film's dialogues, then analyzed using code-mixing theory, specifically the classification of inner and outer code mixing. The analysis was carried out by linking the forms of code-mixing to their social contexts and communicative functions. The results show that code-mixing appears in various forms with diverse functions, including as a strategy to build humor, emphasize character, display social identity, and create closeness in interactions. In addition, code-mixing reflects the influence of globalization and shifts in language culture in contemporary Indonesian society. Thus, this study contributes to sociolinguistic studies by showing that code-mixing practices in films are not only aesthetic but also represent dynamic social and linguistic realities.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada meningkatnya persaingan antar sekolah swasta yang menuntut adanya strategi manajemen yang efektif untuk meningkatkan daya saing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan manajemen strategik dalam meningkatkan keunggulan kompetitif sekolah swasta melalui pendekatan tinjauan pustaka sistematis terhadap berbagai penelitian periode 2021-2026. Metode yang digunakan adalah systematic literature review (SLR) dengan mengkaji artikel ilmiah bereputasi yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan manajemen strategik yang efektif meliputi perencanaan strategis, kepemimpinan transformasional, inovasi kurikulum, pemanfaatan teknologi digital, serta peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Selain itu, strategi diferensiasi dan pemasaran digital juga berperan penting dalam memperkuat posisi kompetitif sekolah. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan sekolah swasta dalam meningkatkan daya saing sangat dipengaruhi oleh integrasi antara strategi internal dan adaptasi terhadap perubahan eksternal. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi teoritis dan praktis bagi pengelola pendidikan dalam merancang strategi yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum was developed in response to the challenges of learning during the COVID-19 pandemic and to create an education system more adaptable to current developments. Its implementation requires effective curriculum management, particularly in early childhood education (PAUD), which has unique learning characteristics. This study aims to analyze the management of the Independent Curriculum in PAUD, including its benefits, challenges, and efforts to optimize its implementation. The study used a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data were collected from various scientific sources, including journals, books, and relevant online references, and analyzed deductively and interpretively. The study results indicate that the Independent Curriculum provides flexibility in the learning process, supports the optimal development of students' potential, and enhances teachers' creativity and innovation in designing learning activities. However, its implementation still faces several obstacles, including limited facilities and infrastructure, gaps in access to technology, and teacher competency in implementing differentiated learning. Therefore, planned, systematic, and sustainable curriculum management is a key factor in overcoming these challenges. With effective management, the Independent Curriculum plays a strategic role in improving the quality of learning in PAUD through a flexible, contextual, and student-centered approach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the intensity of TikTok social media use and the mathematics learning achievement of MTs students in Social Arithmetic. This study uses a quantitative, ex post facto design, so the researcher does not provide direct treatment but rather examines phenomena that have occurred naturally. The study population comprised all seventh-grade students at MTs Raudlatul Uluum Aek Nabara, and samples were selected through purposive sampling, namely two groups based on TikTok usage intensity (high and low). Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire to assess the intensity of TikTok use and a test to measure mathematics achievement. Data analysis included normality tests, homogeneity tests, Independent-Samples t-tests, and effect size estimates using Cohen's d. The results showed a significant difference between the two groups (p = 0.007 < 0.05). The average score of students with low TikTok usage intensity (8.357) was higher than that of the high-intensity group (6). The effect size of 0.72 indicates that the difference falls in the moderate range, so it has practical meaning in the learning context. These findings suggest a relationship between the intensity of TikTok use and students' math achievement. The higher the intensity of TikTok use, the lower the student's math achievement tends to be. It is hoped that the results of this study will serve as a reference for educators and parents in managing students' social media use more wisely and effectively.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan menulis siswa yang ditandai dengan kesulitan dalam mengembangkan ide, memilih diksi, serta menyusun struktur teks secara runtut. Kondisi ini mengindikasikan kebutuhan akan model pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa membangun gagasan secara terarah. Model concept sentence menjadi salah satu alternatif karena memanfaatkan kata kunci sebagai panduan dalam menyusun kalimat dan mengembangkan ide. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan penerapan model concept sentence dalam pembelajaran menulis berdasarkan empat penelitian terdahulu guna memperoleh gambaran komprehensif mengenai efektivitas dan konsistensinya dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur (literature review). Data berupa empat artikel ilmiah yang dipilih berdasarkan kesesuaian topik, yaitu penerapan model concept sentence dalam pembelajaran menulis di jenjang SMP. Data dianalisis dengan mengacu pada model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman, yaitu kondensasi data, penyajian informasi, dan penarikan simpulan, serta keabsahan data diperiksa melalui teknik triangulasi sumber. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model concept sentence secara konsisten mampu meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa SMP pada berbagai jenis teks. Kenaikan dapat dilihat dari perolehan nilai rata-rata serta tingkat pencapaian kompetensi pada setiap siklus pembelajaran, serta diikuti oleh meningkatnya keaktifan dan kemampuan siswa dalam mengembangkan ide secara lebih terstruktur. Selain itu, model ini terbukti fleksibel karena dapat diterapkan pada beragam jenis teks dengan hasil yang positif. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model concept sentence terbukti efektif sebagai strategi pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa pada berbagai jenis teks.

Abstract

The formation of a compassionate character in the younger generation faces serious challenges amidst the flow of individualistic modernity. Islamic boarding schools as informal educational institutions have transformative potential that has not been systematically analyzed, especially in the context of cultural and religious pluralism. This study aims to uncover and analyze the construction of the informal educational ecosystem of the SPMAA Denpasar Islamic Boarding School, Bali, in forming a compassionate character in students through community service activities. The study used a qualitative approach with a single case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, participant observation, focus group discussions, and documentation of 11 purposively selected informants, during the period August–November 2025. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, following the stages of data reduction, data display, and concluding, with triangulation of sources and methods. The study identified a transformative ecosystem comprising nine integrated elements. The main findings show that the 24-hour total immersion architecture with an allocation of 65% informal character education (tadib) to 35% academic (talim), combined with community service as an authentic character laboratory in the context of Balinese plurality, is a dominant factor in the internalization of the value of compassion for others holistically and sustainably. The character transformation that occurs is ontological, marked by a shift in students' lives from a materialistic to an altruistic orientation. This research contributes to the development of the theory of the informal education ecosystem in Islamic boarding schools. It provides a practical model for cross-cultural character formation relevant to Non-Formal Education in pluralistic Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the principal's strategy in developing students' disciplined character at Talise 2 Public Elementary School and identify the obstacles encountered in its implementation. The study used a qualitative, descriptive design to gain a deep understanding of the phenomena in the field. The research subjects consisted of the principal, teachers, and students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. In contrast, data analysis used the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion. Data validity was tested through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study indicate that the principal's strategy for developing students' disciplined character is carried out through several steps: the formulation and implementation of discipline policies; the principal's role modeling; coaching and habituation; the provision of educational rewards and sanctions; supervision and evaluation; and collaboration with parents. The strategy is implemented in an integrated, sustainable manner across daily school activities. However, the strategy's implementation still faces obstacles stemming from internal and external factors. Internal factors include low awareness of student discipline, a lack of responsibility, and poor formation of good study habits. Meanwhile, external factors include a lack of parental involvement in supporting children, suboptimal supervision, and inconsistent implementation of school rules. Based on these findings, increased consistency in strategy implementation, strengthened collaboration between schools and parents, and ongoing coaching are needed to ensure optimal and effective development of students' disciplined character.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using reading boards on the reading ability of second-grade students at SD Negeri 015 Kenangan, Pasangkayu Regency. The study used a quantitative, pre-experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest. The research subjects were 10 students selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed an increase in students' reading ability after using the reading board media. The average pretest score of 53.20 increased to 77.30 in the posttest. The results of the normality test showed that the data were normally distributed, and the paired-samples t-test yielded a p-value <0.001 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest. The N-Gain value of 0.52 is in the moderate category, while the effect size of 2.08 is in the very large category. The increase in reading ability is evident in letter recognition, syllable combination, pronunciation, and simple reading comprehension. These findings indicate that reading boards are effective in improving students' early reading skills because they provide a concrete, visual, and interactive learning experience, and can increase student motivation and engagement in the classroom. Therefore, reading boards can be used as an innovative learning alternative to improve the literacy skills of elementary school students.

Abstract

The achievement of educational goals in this digital era is greatly influenced by rapid technological development, making critical thinking a fundamental skill for elementary school students. The condition of elementary school students in grade IV at UPT SD Negeri 10 Sidomulio remains relatively low, as the assessment results show that 84% of students still lack complete critical thinking skills. The results of interviews with class teachers show that the LKPD used is still very simple, focuses on routine questions, and does not encourage students to think critically. This study aims to describe the process of developing an encyclopedia-based LKPD using a deep learning approach for science subjects for grade IV students at UPT SD Negeri 10 Sidomulio. This study uses the Research and Development method, with the ADDIE model comprising 5 stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and critical-thinking ability tests. The encyclopedia-based LKPD product meets the criteria for high validity, as indicated by expert assessments. Validation by material experts yielded 100%, media experts 95.48%, language experts 97.78%, and learning practitioners 93.75%, indicating that the developed LKPD is suitable for use in the learning process. The development of encyclopedia-based LKPD using a deep learning approach can provide more interactive, contextual, and enjoyable learning. The encyclopedia-based LKPD, developed with a deep learning approach, is valid, practical, and suitable for learning, and has the potential to improve students' critical thinking skills regarding various forms of matter and their changes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze guidance and counseling management in developing discipline and responsibility among elementary school students at SDN Cibeureumhilir CBM Kota Sukabumi and SDN Mandalasari Kabupaten Sukabumi. This research employed a qualitative approach with a comparative case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving principals, guidance and counseling teachers, classroom teachers, students, and parents. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which consists of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The findings show that both schools implemented guidance and counseling management through planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation, but with different management patterns. SDN Cibeureumhilir CBM applied a more formal, structured, and documented model through annual and semester programs, clear role distribution, rule-based services, reward and punishment, and routine evaluation. In contrast, SDN Mandalasari applied a more flexible, participatory, and contextual model through informal planning, collaborative teacher involvement, reflective activities, educational games, group projects, and direct communication with parents. The formal model was effective in strengthening students’ external discipline, compliance with rules, punctuality, and task completion. In contrast, the participatory model was effective in developing internal responsibility, student involvement, and reflective awareness. This study concludes that effective guidance and counseling management in elementary schools requires an integrated model that combines structured planning, clear organization, consistent implementation of services, reflective activities, systematic evaluation, and collaboration among principals, guidance and counseling teachers, classroom teachers, students, and parents.
