Abstract

Bullying in schools can have an impact on students' academic performance, character development and mental health. One of the factors causing bullying behavior is the application of inappropriate parenting. Prevention efforts require a holistic approach that actively involves the school and family environment, especially building anti-bullying character from an early age by involving parenting. The purpose of the study was to develop and test the effectiveness of the growth and development zone media in building anti-bullying character through authoritative parenting in elementary schools. The study used a research and development (R&D) approaches referring to Borg & Gall with a mixed method analysis method. The research location is State Elementary School 1 Batulo, the research population in class III (three) and the research sample is students and parents / guardians of students totaling 40 students and 40 parents. The results showed that the media developed, namely the Emotion Zone, the Children's Kindness Zone, the Children's Star and the Parents' Wish Board, were well validated and effective in increasing students' moral awareness, empathy, and prosocial behavior. Statistical test results showed a significant increase between pretest and posttest results with a Z value of -3.921 and Asym. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 and it is concluded that media implementation is effective in increasing students' anti-bullying behavior. Media implementation also increases parental involvement in authoritative parenting practices. This research concludes that character-based media and authoritative parenting have great potential in preventing bullying preventively and educationally.

Abstract

Hydroponic cultivation offers an innovative solution to land limitations and supports sustainable agricultural practices. This study presents the design and implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring and control system for melon cultivation using the Deep Flow Technique (DFT), enhanced with a rule-based decision-making method. The system integrates an ESP32 microcontroller with multiple sensors—including pH, temperature, TDS, and ultrasonic sensors—to monitor key parameters of the nutrient solution in real time. A rule-based algorithm is applied to automatically regulate system responses to environmental changes, such as imbalances in pH levels, nutrient concentration, and water height. The collected data is displayed through a web-based platform and Telegram notifications, enabling remote access and management. System functionality was tested under various simulated conditions to evaluate accuracy and responsiveness. The results demonstrate that the system effectively maintains the hydroponic environment within optimal ranges, promoting healthy melon growth. This implementation enhances efficiency in monitoring and control, and contributes to the advancement of smart farming technologies powered by IoT.

Abstract

Education plays a strategic role in shaping a high-quality future generation, with teachers serving as the primary facilitators of learning. The generational diversity among teachers creates variations in teaching styles that can influence student learning enthusiasm, particularly for Generation Alpha, who are characterized as digital natives. This study aims to understand the differences in teaching styles based on teacher generations and their implications for the learning enthusiasm of Generation Alpha students at St. Bellarminus Elementary School in Bekasi. A qualitative method with a case study approach was used, involving in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that older generation teachers tend to use conventional lecture-based methods, while younger generation teachers are more adaptive to technology and interactive approaches. A mismatch between teaching styles and the characteristics of Generation Alpha students can affect their level of engagement and enthusiasm in learning. Therefore, more innovative and student-centered teaching strategies are needed to enhance the effectiveness of instruction.

Abstract

The phenomenon of overtourism has become a significant issue in tourism management in Bali, particularly in areas such as Canggu, Kuta, Ubud, Kintamani, and Penglipuran Village. The post-pandemic surge in tourist arrivals has brought positive economic impacts, but it has also exerted pressure on the environment, infrastructure, and the social and cultural life of local communities. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. The primary aim of this research is to examine the condition of overtourism in Bali and analyze the management efforts undertaken by local governments. The findings indicate that the management of overtourism remains suboptimal. There is a need for the implementation of the carrying capacity concept and visitor management strategies to prevent further degradation. The recommendations provided include limiting the number of tourists, ensuring a more even distribution of visits, involving local communities in policy-making, and strengthening sustainable tourism regulations.

Abstract

Education is essentially a cultural process that has a significant influence on the survival of humans in carrying out religious, social, and cultural life. In this context, education and arts and culture are two entities that cannot be separated, because they interact and influence each other. Arts and culture have an important role in shaping the identity and personality of individuals and groups of people. Therefore, the ideal education process contains noble cultural wisdom values, in order to realize the development of students' characters holistically through cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Specifically, the main objective of Islamic Religious Education and Character Education (PAI-BP) is to shape the character and noble morals of students. Because PAI-BP is full of spiritual values and divine aesthetics, an arts and culture-based approach is considered relevant and effective. Through the integration of arts and culture, educators can design a more innovative, creative, and enjoyable learning process, because the learning contains elements of beauty that have educational value

Abstract

The era of Industry 5.0 marks a new phase in technological advancement, emphasizing human-centered innovation and collaboration through the integration of artificial intelligence, automation, and humanistic values. This study aims to: (1) analyze the characteristics of digital transformation relevant to both domestic and global contexts; (2) identify the competencies required by human resources (HR) to effectively adapt to digital work environments; and (3) formulate strategies and frameworks for the sustainable development and evaluation of digital-based HR competencies. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using data collection techniques such as literature review, limited qualitative surveys, and in-depth interviews with informants from the education, industry, and government sectors. Data analysis was conducted using a thematic approach to identify conceptual patterns aligned with the research objectives. The findings reveal that digital transformation drives changes in organizational work structures, making them more flexible, collaborative, and adaptive. It also demands competencies from HR that are not only technical (such as digital literacy, data management, and digital platform utilization) but also adaptive (such as critical thinking, virtual communication, self-directed learning, and digital ethics). Effective HR competency development strategies must be holistic, sustainable, and impact-driven, encompassing digital competency mapping, implementation of blended learning, career pathway integration, and data-driven performance evaluation. This study contributes to the development of both conceptual and practical models for building a human resource ecosystem capable of navigating the digital transformation in the Industry 5.0 era.

Abstract

The Baduy indigenous people in Banten show a unique paradox: despite isolating themselves from modernity, they have strong socio-ecological resilience and economic adaptation. This ethnographic research aims to uncover their resilience architecture and sustainable marketing model rooted in the Papakem or Pikukuh philosophy of life. Data were collected through participatory observations, interviews with traditional stakeholders, artisans, and the younger generation of Baduy Luar, as well as literature studies, and then analyzed thematically. As a result, Baduy resilience is a conscious system supported by: (1) leuit as a food security institution, and (2) huma as an ecological risk mitigation strategy. The study also found that the marketing transformation of tourism interactions towards the adoption of digital technology by the Baduy Luar reflects symbolic capitalism. Papakem acts as an operating system that maintains conservation ethics while allowing economic involvement without abandoning cultural identity.
