Abstract

Collaborative painting is an activity where several individuals; students, at school combine 20x20 canvases into one large canvas. The purpose of this research is to analyze the paintings created by students from a psychological perspective; their relationship with the students' emotional and social aspects. The research method uses semiotic analysis, focusing on the relationship between signs, meanings, and social and cultural contexts. Research data were obtained by examining the paintings created by the students. Data analysis is presented descriptively to explain the signs and meanings contained in the paintings. The findings show that collaborative paintings can serve as a bridge to build cooperation and empathy among students. The resulting paintings can be utilized as part of an art intervention for bullying prevention that is oriented towards social values.

Abstract

This study examines the representation of LGBTQ themes in children’s animated content on YouTube Kids, a widely accessed platform among children. In Indonesia, such content is controversial due to conflicting social norms. Using representation theory and qualitative content analysis, six animated videos were analyzed through visuals, dialogue, and narrative elements. The findings reveal both explicit and implicit portrayals of LGBTQ identities, including lesbian, gay, transgender, and queer, through human and anthropomorphic characters. These themes appear in various formats such as children’s series, music, and storytelling videos, often subtly embedded within broader narratives. The study concludes that while LGBTQ representation is generally subtle, it significantly contributes to shaping children's understanding of gender identity and sexuality. The research highlights the importance of balancing global inclusivity with sensitivity to local cultural values in media policy.

Abstract

Film dokumenter merupakan media edukatif yang efektif dalam menyampaikan isu sosial dan ekologis melalui pendekatan visual yang kuat. Salah satu aspek teknis yang berperan penting dalam efektivitas penyampaian pesan adalah penggunaan pergerakan kamera. Penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana teknik pergerakan kamera dalam film dokumenter Semua Pasti Bertuan digunakan untuk membangun narasi visual yang mendalam dan mendukung pesan edukatif mengenai pengelolaan sampah plastik. Melalui observasi shot-by-shot dan analisis naratif, ditemukan bahwa kombinasi track in, handheld, panning, dan static shot tidak hanya memperkuat dimensi estetika, tetapi juga membentuk pengalaman sinematik yang edukatif dan empatik. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa sinematografi memiliki kontribusi penting dalam memperkuat daya persuasi dan keterlibatan audiens terhadap isu yang diangkat.

Abstract

This study examines the self-identity construction of young adult fans of the Japanese virtual idol Hatsune Miku using a qualitative cyber-phenomenology approach and Berger and Luckmann’s Social Construction of Reality theory. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews. Findings reveal that engagement with Hatsune Miku serves not only as entertainment but also as a source of emotional support, self-reflection, and affiliation within digital communities. Through processes of externalization, objectivation, and internalization, virtual interactions were found to shape a self-identity more closely connected to personal aspirations and social acceptance. All informants reported experiencing stigma linked to cultural stereotypes, such as being labeled wibu or “low nationalist,” which in turn fostered greater tolerance for cultural differences and acceptance of technological innovation. This study highlights the role of virtual idol engagement as a meaningful arena for identity formation and social adaptation in the digital era

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis konstruksi pesan promosi oleh @naturebridgeid melalui tiga tahap proses sosialisasi menurut teori konstruksi sosial: eksternalisasi, objektivasi, dan internalisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi, serta analisis data melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap eksternalisasi, NatureBridge menampilkan nilai dan identitas brand melalui konten yang informatif, edukatif, dan emosional. Pada tahap objektivasi, pesan diterima dan dinormalisasi oleh pengikut. Tahap internalisasi menunjukkan bahwa pengikut mengadopsi nilai yang disampaikan sebagai bagian dari sistem nilai pribadi mereka. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam kajian komunikasi digital, khususnya terkait strategi visual dan verbal dalam promosi produk melalui media sosial Instagram

Abstract

Ashboel Distro entered the fashion industry by branding the use of professional soccer players. The branding is very tantalizing and quite a novelty for the development of the fashion industry in the digital era. The purpose is to analyzing the packaging of Distro Asbhoel  cyberbranding content by using professional soccer players on Instagram. Method: Qualitative with a case study approach and inductive data analysis techniques. Results and conclusions: Asbhoel succeeded in building strong cyberbranding through interactive content packaging, dialogic communication, and consistent management of audience participation on Instagram. The strategy of using professional soccer players also proved effective in increasing brand awareness and building emotional connections with audiences. Implications: Reinforces the concepts of cyberbranding by demonstrating the importance of emotional engagement and two-way dialog in shaping brand loyalty. Provides guidance for businesses to design content, select the right influencers, and utilize audience feedback to build strong and sustainable branding.

Abstract

Menjalani kehidupan sebagai narapidana merupakan bentuk kehidupan tanpa pilihan. Berbagai pembatasan yang mengatur setiap perilaku dan Tindakan membentuk pola interaksi tertentu. Kehidupan dalam penjara menuntut kestabilan psikologis agar individu mampu bertahan. Interaksi yang terjadi kerap kali dibayangi prasangka dan kecemasan. Kemampuan untuk bertahan hidup dalam lingkungan penjara sangat ditentukan oleh cara mereka memaknai dan mengelola interaksi tersebut. Berdasarkan hal tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk dan proses penyesuaian diri narapidana dengan lingkungan social mereka. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi, peneliti melakukan wawancara mendalam dengan narapidana di Jawa. Hasilnya interaksi di dalam lingkungan lembaga pemasyarakatan menciptakan solidaritas yang terlihat dari empati, perlindungan sesama mereka. Patahan dalam dinamika kelompok terjadi karena prasangka, kecemburuan, dominasi, ketertutupan dan friksi yang semula memang telah ada. Penelitian ini menekankan bahwa kohesivitas dinamika komunikasi kelompok para napi di lapas bersifat ambivalen. Pada satu sisi, kohesvitas ini menjadi dan menjaga penyangga kondisi mental psikologis, sedangkan di sisi lain berpotensi terjadinya friksi dan perpecahan.

Abstract

Stand-up comedy mulai berkembang dan mendapat tempat tersendiri di panggung hiburan Indonesia. Sebagai media komunikasi, stand-up comedy turut menghadirkan berbagai muatan pesan termasuk pesan politik. Muatan politik dalam stand-up comedy termasuk dalam konsep politainment, yaitu penggabungan antara politik dan hiburan. Salah satu komika yang dikenal kerap membawakan tema politik dalam penampilan stand-up comedy adalah Pandji Pragiwaksono. Termasuk penampilan Pandji Pragiwaksono yang mengkritik berbagai langkah yang diambil Partai Solidaritas Indonesia (PSI). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk menganalisis retorika yang digunakan Pandji Pragiwaksono dalam penampilan stand-up comedy. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan Pandji Pragiwaksono mampu menyampaikan pesan berisi kritik berbalut komedi dengan baik kepada audiens menggunakan gaya retorika yang terdiri dari ethos, pathos, dan logos.

Abstract

This study analyzes the representation of the #KaburAjaDulu (Running Away From Indonesia) in three social media posts produced by influencer Gerald Vincent (@geraldvincentt) on Instagram and TikTok. The hashtag, which first appeared in 2023 and went viral, depicts the current state of the country. The approach used in this study is qualitative. This research attempts to describe the #KaburAjaDulu content phenomenon from the perspective of Stuart Hall's representation of ideas. This research reveals how the narrative of "running away" from Indonesia is interpreted as a critique of the nation's social, political, and economic conditions. The analysis shows that Gerald's content frames this narrative in an educational and populist manner, voicing young people's frustration with a system perceived as unfair. Issues such as foreign responses, bureaucratic regulations, and freedom of expression on social media further reinforce the public discourse surrounding the intellectual exodus. This study highlights the crucial role of social media in destabilizing political discourse and the identity of the younger generation amidst declining trust in state institutions.

Abstract

The development of the Village Information System (SID) mandated by Village Law No. 6 of 2014 is not merely a formality to fulfill obligations but its existence is crucial as documentation of village data consisting of population data, village potential and village programs. This can certainly occur if the village can interpret the data it has. The study aims to determine the development of SID and the use of data in development. The study used a descriptive analytical method, data collection techniques obtained from FGDs, interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis used interactive analysis techniques. The results show that the Panggungharjo Village Government has developed SID independently with institutional support, funding, and professional human resources. SID supports more transparent administrative services, encouraging the emergence of various data-based public programs (scholarships and elderly assistance). These findings confirm that Panggungharjo has implemented the principle of data sovereignty, namely, the village has control over data and makes it the basis for development and public services.
