Abstract

Transformational leadership plays an important role in improving employee performance through four main components: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration. This study examines the effect of transformational leadership on employee motivation, engagement, and performance through a literature review that groups study into three main clusters: leadership components, impact on motivation and commitment, and impact on performance. The results of the study indicate that transformational leaders who are able to inspire and motivate employees will improve individual and team performance. However, the effectiveness of this leadership style is influenced by cultural factors and organizational structure. Therefore, further research with quantitative and qualitative approaches is needed to test the concept of a model that enlightens and enriches understanding of the context of transformational leadership implementation in various sectors and cultures.

Abstract

Digital transformation has driven organizations to invest in employee competency development to face technological disruption and dynamic market demands. This study is a systematic literature observation analyzed using the SCISCAPE (Search, Cluster, Integrate, Critically Analyze, Synthesize, Present, Enhance Insight, Evaluate) approach. Literature from 2015–2024 was collected from academic databases such as Scopus, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect, with keywords such as employee competency development, digital skills enhancement, and digital transformation training. The findings show that training methods such as e-learning, microlearning, and gamification are the main trends in digital competency development. The study also highlights the positive impact of training on organizational performance, despite obstacles such as weakening technology and low ROI evaluation. Practical implications include the need for data-driven adaptive training design, as well as the development of a national digital competency framework. This study contributes to formulating HR strategies that are relevant to the digital era and opens up space for more measurable further research.

Abstract

This study examines the utilization of Internet of Things (IoT) technology as an innovation to support interactive learning and the management of facilities and infrastructure in Islamic educational institutions. In the digital era, IoT enables automatic connectivity among devices, which can improve the quality of learning and enhance the efficiency of educational facility management. The method employed is a literature study with a content analysis approach applied to scientific literature, books, and indexed journals. The findings indicate that IoT is applied in various aspects such as smart classrooms, automatic attendance systems, energy management, and sensor-based security. The use of IoT aligns with Islamic educational values when accompanied by principles of Islamic digital literacy and ethics. However, challenges include limited infrastructure, high costs, low digital literacy, and data security concerns. Therefore, an integrative strategy is needed, including human resource capacity building, multisectoral partnerships, and the formulation of technology policies based on Islamic values. The findings are expected to provide a conceptual contribution to the development of adaptive and sustainable Islamic education models in response to the demands of the industry 4.0 revolution.

Abstract

This journal discusses the phenomenon of Online Gender-Based Violence (OGBV) which is increasingly worrying in the digital era, especially related to the spread of non-consensual intimate content (NCII) or what is often referred to as "revenge porn." This study explores the factors that cause NCII, including abuse of trust, unsafe use of technology, and weak legal regulations. OGBV, as a form of gender-based violence, has profound psychological, social, and economic impacts on victims, including trauma, stigma, and career losses. In addition, this journal also discusses the prevention and protection efforts needed, such as increasing digital literacy, strengthening regulations, and collaboration between various stakeholders. It is hoped that with stronger measures, the threat of the spread of non-consensual intimate content can be minimized and protection for victims can be increased.

Abstract

The development of fintech has revolutionized financial management by driving operational efficiency and expanding financial inclusion in various regions. This article presents a structured literature review using the SCISCAPE method to analyze the role of fintech in the digital transformation of financial management. The study identifies positive trends in fintech adoption and its contribution to increasing access to financial services, but also reveals significant challenges such as low digital literacy, inadequate regulation, and data security risks. In addition, this article underlines the need for further research that focuses on fintech sustainability, ESG principle integration, and its social impact. The SCISCAPE approach has proven effective in providing a comprehensive and critical overview of fintech research developments, while opening new directions for future studies. These findings are expected to be a reference for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers in developing an inclusive, safe, and sustainable fintech ecosystem.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of work-life balance (WLB) on employee well-being and employee retention with a focus on human resource management (HRM) policies. Based on a literature review from various sectors (government, private, education, and health) and various approaches (quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method), this study finds that good WLB policies can increase job satisfaction, reduce work stress, and improve psychological well-being. In addition, effective WLB policies also contribute to higher employee retention. This study identifies several key success factors, such as managerial support, an organizational culture that supports balance, and the integration of WLB into HRM strategies. However, there are limitations in the existing literature, such as the dominance of studies from developed countries and the lack of longitudinal studies. Further research is needed to explore the long-term impact and implementation of WLB policies in the context of developing countries.

Abstract

The rapid development of internet technology has significantly transformed business marketing strategies. Digital marketing has become an effective alternative for reaching a broad and fast consumer base through digital platforms. TikTok, as a popular social media platform, offers opportunities for product promotion and increased online sales. This study analyzes the implementation of digital marketing strategies via TikTok to enhance sales turnover at Ifa Beauty Global Kraksaan Cosmetics Store and evaluates its compliance with Islamic marketing principles. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach, including direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of marketing activities. The findings indicate that digital marketing strategies on TikTok—such as creating educational content, live streaming, and utilizing TikTok Shop features—positively impact sales turnover. Moreover, the marketing practices align with Islamic values, including honesty (shiddiq), transparency (tabligh), responsibility (amanah), and fair, humane treatment of consumers (humanistic). This study suggests that strategic use of TikTok social media can improve sales performance while adhering to ethical standards of Islamic marketing in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how to improve corporate image, which is very important for companies to increase competitiveness in the business world. Corporate image is analyzed based on corporate social responsibility (CSR), trust, and social engagement. The study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research method. A sample of 138 people was selected through purposive sampling techniques from residents around the company. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The results of the study indicate that CSR has a significant positive effect on corporate image, trust, and social engagement. Social engagement is proven to have a significant positive effect on corporate image, while trust does not have a significant effect on corporate image. These results indicate that social engagement is more decisive in determining public perception of corporate image compared to trust. The results of this study also provide implications that companies need to strengthen the sustainability of CSR programs and strengthen social engagement to improve a positive corporate image in the eyes of residents around them.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that there are still teenage victims of bullying who do not interact well with their environment. Gender is one of the factors that influence social interaction. This research aims to examine whether there are significant differences in social interactions between male adolescent victims of bullying and female adolescent victims of bullying. This study used a comparative descriptive approach, with a sample of 103 adolescent victims of bullying at SMPN Kota Padang. The results showed that there was a difference in the ability of social interaction between male adolescent victims of bullying in the high category (57.63%) and the ability of social interaction between female adolescent victims of bullying in the medium category (72.73%) and there was a significant difference in the ability of social interaction between male adolescent victims of bullying and female adolescent victims of bullying with a significance level of 0,000.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the rahn contract in the Multiguna Berkah Financing program at BMT NU Wonosari and its impact on community welfare. The rahn contract, a collateral-based financing scheme grounded in Sharia principles, offers a financial solution for people needing capital access. However, challenges remain, such as limited public understanding and the effectiveness of the contract mechanism in improving customers’ welfare. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, collecting data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity is strengthened by triangulating sources and methods. The results show that the implementation of the rahn contract at BMT NU Wonosari significantly benefits the community by expanding access to flexible and fair Sharia financing. Customers experience improved economic welfare through easier capital access and more stable business management. Nevertheless, low Sharia financial literacy and administrative challenges in managing collateral remain key obstacles. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize rahn contract socialization and adopt more adaptive policies to ensure wider and sustainable benefits of this financing scheme.
