Abstract

  Abstract : This thesis is about how effective key word clustering to improve the students’ recount writing. The research is held at SMP Negeri 17 Pontianak in academic year 2013/2014. The writer applied quasi experimental study on her research with one class as the control group and the other class is the experimental group.             From research findings, the mean score of posttest in experimental group was higher than the mean score of posttest in control group (78.3 >54.7). Moreover, the interval of the students’ mean score in experimental group was higher than control group (25.1> 0.2). The result of Effect Size was 14.4 (categorized as “strong effect”). The t-value (16.27) was bigger than t-table (1.671). The significant difference could be interpreted that the use of key words clustering is effective to improve the students’ achievement in writing recount text.Based on the result of the data computation, it was obtained that the t-test score (16.27) was higher than t-table (1.671) at 0.05 the degree of freedom (df)= + -2 (33+33-2=64). This could prove that teaching recount writing by using key words clustering is effective. Keywords : recount, key word clustering, brainstorming Abstrak : Skripsi ini tentang seberapa efektif keyword clustering untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis recount siswa. Penelitian ini diadakan di SMP Negeri 17 Pontianak pada tahun akademik 2013/2014. Penulis menerapkan studi eksperimental kuasi pada penelitiannya dengan satu kelas sebagai kelompok kontrol dan kelas lainnya adalah kelompok eksperimen.  Dari hasil penelitian, nilai rata-rata posttest pada kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata posttest kelompok kontrol (78,3> 54,7). Selain itu, interval nilai rata-rata siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (25,1> 0,2). Hasil Pengaruh Ukuran adalah 14,4 (dikategorikan sebagai "efek yang kuat"). T-value (16.27) lebih besar dari t-tabel (1,671). Perbedaan signifikan dapat diartikan bahwa penggunaan keyword clustering efektif untuk meningkatkan prestasi siswa dalam menulis recount text.Based hasil perhitungan data, diperoleh bahwa nilai t-test (16.27) lebih tinggi dari t-tabel (1,671) pada 0,05 derajat kebebasan (df) = + -2 (33 + 33-2 = 64). Hal ini dapat membuktikan bahwa pengajaran menulis penghitungan dengan menggunakan key word clustering adalah efektif. Kata kunci : recount, key word clustering, brainstorming

Abstract

AbstractThis research  aims to assess the advisability of higher order thinking skill (HOTS) test of Physics for senior high school students. Specifically, this reseach was conducted to find out the characteristic of the HOTS test and to define the oppropriateprecentage of the test which is based  on the students’ responses. The metode used in this research is Research and Development (R & D). The method uses the stages which was developed by Borg and Gall which have been simplified. The HOTS test is developed basd on the Taxonomy Bloom which has been revised. It consists of 10 test points that have been validated by five physics experts. The experiment was done to 104 XI students from three different schools. The result of the experiment shows that from 10 test points, all of the items are highly correlated as the construct validity with analysis factor test by using SPSS, the level of contents of validity with the mean score 0.737. The validity of the items shows that all of the test items are valid based on SPSS application. The realibility of test items is 0.7, the index of difficulty of the test starts from 0.02 until 0.55, and  the level of legibility is 0.66 which mean all of the items are categorised as good test items. The students’ reponses from the questionnaires result positive with 79.6% for the mean score. Based on these characteristics, the HOTS test can be used to measure the higher order thinking skill of physics for senior high school students. Keywords: test development, HOTS, Harmonic Vibration

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to obtain information about the adjustment in terms of personality type of students grade X SMAN 1 Pontianak. The method used is descriptive method, using Causal-Comparative Studies. The sample in this research is 87 students of class X IPS SMAN 1 Pontianak. Data collection techniques are indirect communication techniques and direct communication, data collection tool that is inventory and interview guide. Data analysis technique is descriptive statistical technique. The results of data analysis, indicating that the students' self-adjustment of each personality type corresponds to the characteristic personality type by Littauer. The quality of self-adjustment of Choleris personality type reached 81% with good category, Phlegmatis reached 78% good category, Sanguinis reached 75% good category, and Melancholy reached 74% good category. In this case, the counselor teacher has not been instrumental in helping learners understand personality types, but has made curative efforts in the problem of self-adjustment of learners. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kurang disiplinnya anak dalam mentaati aturan yang berlaku dalam suatu permainan antara lain: anak belum dapat melaksanakan kegiatan bermain sesuai dengan tahapan yang telah dijelaskan guru, anak belum dapat menyelesaikan tugas bermain yang diberikan guru, dan anak belum dapat bekerjasama dalam kegiatan bermain yang ditugaskan guru. Dari 20 orang anak hanya 6 orang anak saja yang dapat melakukan kegiatan atau dengan persentasi 30%. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah anak yang berjumlah 20 anak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dan melalui hasil yang diperoleh setelah diadakan analisis data, secara umum dapat ditarik suatu kesimpulan bahwa: 1) Perencanaan pembelajaran dengan skor 3,83. 2) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan skor 3,86. 3). Hasil peningkatan anak antara lain: a) Anak melaksanakan kegiatan bermain sesuai dengan tahapan yang telah dijelaskan guru meningkat sebesar 80%.  b) Anak menyelesaikan tugas bermain yang diberikan guru meningkat sebesar 70%. c) Anak bekerjasama dalam kegiatan bermain yang ditugaskan guru meningkat sebesar 70%.   Kata Kunci :  Kedisiplinan, Mencari Pasangan   Abstract: This research is motivated less discipline in the children obey the rules in a game such as: children may not be able to carry out activities in accordance with the stage play that has been described teachers, children may not be able to complete the task of playing the teacher, and the children can not cooperate in activities play the assigned teacher. Of the 20 children, only 6 children who can do the activity or the percentage of 30%. This research is a form of action research with descriptive methods. Subjects were children who totaled 20 children. Based on the research that has been done and through the results obtained after the analysis of the data held, in general can be drawn a conclusion that: 1) Planning learning with a score of 3.83. 2) Implementation of learning with a score of 3.86. 3). The resulting increase in children include: a) Children carry out activities in accordance with the stage play that has been described teachers increased by 80%. b) Children's play is given the task of completing the teacher increased by 70%. c) Children cooperating in play activities assigned teachers increased by 70%. Equallity value 56,75 and sickus the activity accorate result II equallity 70,75.   Key word : Arrounding Media, Result Studiying   Abstrak: Secara umum masalah penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan  “apakah dengan pemanfaatan media lingkungan dalam pembelajaran kenampakan alam buatan Indonesia dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dikelas V?” Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran kenampakan alam buatan Indonesia dengan menggunakan media lingkungan sekitar dikelas V. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang bersifa tkolaboratif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Data penelitian berupa skor kemampuan guru menyusun RPP, data skor guru melaksanakan pembelajaran dan data nilai hasil belajar siswa. Hasil tindakan siklus 1 rata-rata skor guru menyusun RPP sebesar 2,54 dan pada siklus 2 sebesar 3,9. Kemampuan guru melaksanakan pembelajaran pada siklusI rata-rata skor sebesar 2,65 dan pada siklus 2 sebesar 3,7. Rata-rata nilai sebesar 56,75 dan hasil penelitian tindakan siklus II rata-rata nilai sebesar 70,75 . Kata Kunci: media lingkungan sekitar, hasil belajar

Abstract

Abstract: This true experimental research is mainly aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using Computer-assisted Pronunciation Teaching (CAPT) application software Transcript 1.23 in teaching English pronunciation of weak forms and connected speech. The data used to measure the effectiveness of the application of CAPT software in the treatment is collected from participants’ oral performance in the form of voice records. The pre-test and pos-test data from the participants is analysed and compared to measure the effect of the given treatment. The result of the research shows a strong effect of the application of the software to improve the quality of the participants’ pronunciation of weak forms and connected speech. The effectiveness of the software application in the treatment is categorised as strong according to the criteria developed by Cohen. Key Words: Effectiveness, CAPT, Transcript 1.23, Weak Pronunciation, Connected Speech Abstrak: Penelitian true experimental ini terutama bertujuan untuk meneliti efektifitas penggunaan aplikasi pengajaran lafal dengan bantuan aplikasi perangkat lunak komputer Transcript 1.23 pada pengajaran lafal bentuk lemah dan lafal bersambung. Data yang digunakan untuk mengukur efektifitas penggunaan perangkat lunak pengajaran lafal dengan bantuan komputer tersebut dalam pengajaran lafal adalah berupa penampilan lisan partisipan dalam bentuk rekaman suara.  Data sebelum dan setelah perlakuan diberikan dianalisis dan dibandingkan guna mengukur pengaruh perlakuan yang diberikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh yang kuat dari penggunaan perangkat lunak tersebut untuk meningkatkan kualitas lafal lemah dan lafal bersambung oleh partisipan. Keefektifan penggunaan perangkat lunak tersebut dalam pengajaran dikategorikan kuat menurut kriteria yang dibuat oleh Cohen.   Kata Kunci: Keefektifan, CAPT, Transcript1.23, Lafal lemah, Ujaran bersambung

Abstract

AbstractIndonesian language learning includes four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Essentially the main function of language is as a communication tool. Therefore, Indonesian language and literature learning is directed to enable students to communicate, both oral and written. This research was based on the facts in the field that show the learning result of writing the narrative paragraph on the students of class V in SD Negeri 20 Pontianak Semester 1 of the lesson year 2013/2014 no correlation was expected. The result of the research shows that there is a significant correlation between the ability of the teaching teacher, the picture story media to the result of learning to write the narrative of the students of class V SDN 20 Pontianak Semester 1 of the lesson year 2013/2014. Based on the data processing and analysis, it can be concluded that: There is a correlation between teacher's teaching ability, picture story media, and student learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects at SDN 20 Pontianak. After seeing the results of questionnaire answers, observations and interviews the authors suggest that: Indonesian teachers should be able to, explain, help, accept and address the positive and negative things that exist in the learners Keywords: pictorial story media, teacher's teaching ability and writing narrative

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai budaya dalam novel Kubah karya Ahmad Tohari. Penelitian ini bermanfaat untuk menambah pengetahuan peneliti, sebagai bahan ajar bagi guru Bahasa Indonesia dalam mengajarkan apresiasi sastra, dan bagi peneliti lainnya sebagai bahan perbandingan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan penelitian berupa penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan, yaitu pendekatan sosiologi karya sastra. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah novel Kubah karya Ahmad Tohari yang diterbitkan oleh Pustaka Jaya. Data primernya berupa kutipan-kutipan (kata, frasa, dan kalimat) yang berkaitan dengan nilai-nilai budaya yang terdapat dalam novel Kubah disesuaikan dalam rumusan permasalahan. Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan studi dokumenter. instrumen penelitiannya adalah adalah peneliti sendiri sebagai instrumen utama. Teknik pemeriksaan data diamati dengan 1) kecukupan referensi, b) pemeriksaan dengan teman sejawat, c) triangulasi. Hasil penelitiannya yaitu: 1) Nilai-nilai budaya dilihat dari hubungan manusia dengan Allah, yakni mengenai, taat kepada Allah, mensyukuri nikmat dan karunia Allah, dan berdoa kepada Allah. 2) Hubungan manusia dengan dirinya sendiri yang mengenai, menunaikan amanah dan sadar akan kesalahan. 3) Hubungan manusia dengan manusia yang mengenai, tolong menolong dan kepedulian. 4) Hubungan manusia dengan alam yang mengenai, mengelola dan memelihara alam. Kata kunci : nilai budaya, novel. Abstract The purpose of this research is to describe cultural values in novel Kubah by Ahmad Tohari. This research can be useful for enriching knowledge, as a teaching material for Indonesian Languages teacher in teaching literary appreciation, and as a comparison material for another researchers. The method in this research is descriptive method with qualitative research. The approach in this research is literature sociology approach. The source of data in this research is novel Kubah by Ahmad Tohari published by Pustaka Jaya. The primary data are quotes (words, phrases, and sentences) that equivalent with cultural values in novel Kubah synchronized with the research problem. The technique of data collecting is using documentary study. The research instrument is the researcher herself as main instrument. The techniques of data checking are: 1) reference sufficiency, 2) proof reading, 3) triangulation. The results of the research are: 1) Cultural values from relationship between human and Allah, which are loyal to Allah, thankfulness, and pray to Allah. 2) Relationship between human and himself which are fulfilling mandate, and fault awareness. 3) Relationship between human and another human which are helpfulness and cares. 4) Relationship between human and nature which are managing and protecting the nature. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of conducting this research is to improve students’ speaking ability in giving opinion and responding to another’s opinion through debate. The methodology of this research is a classroom action research which consisted of 3 cycles. The subject of this research was the eighth grade students of SMPN 7 Sungai Raya, B class which consists of 26 students. To collect the data, the researcher used observation checklist and field notes. Through observation checklist the researcher observed students’ activity in the classroom and by using field notes the researcher reflected the problem found.  Based on the research findings, debate technique which was applied to the subjects of research showed the improvement of students’ speaking ability. Based on the result of the researcher’s observation using observation checklist and form of field notes, it can be seen that students’ speaking ability in giving opinion and responding to another’s opinion have been improved. The percentage of students’ activity in the classroom when debate, in the first cycle was 57%, in the second cycle was 67% and the third cycle was 76%. It indicated that debate technique had improved students’ speaking ability in giving opinion and responding to another’s opinion. Key words: Speaking Ability, Debate Technique, Classroom Action Research Abstrak: Tujuan dari pelaksanaan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam mengungkapkan pendapat dan menganggapi pendapat yang lainnya melalui debat. Metode yang digunakan di penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian adalah murid kelas 8 dari SMPN 7 Sungai Raya, kelas B yang terdiri dari 26 murid. Peneliti menggunakan observasi ceklis dan field note. Melalui obsevasi ceklist peneliti mengamati kegiatan murid di dalam kelas dan peneliti merefleksi masalah yang ditemukan menggunakan field note. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, teknik debat yang diterapkan kepada subjek penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan bicara murid dalam memberikan pendapat dan menanggapi pendapat yang lain. Berdasarkan observasi peneliti dapat terlihat bahwa kemampuan murid dalam mengungkapkan pendapat dan menanggapi pendapat telah meningkat. Persentase dari kegiatan siswa di dalam kelas ketika debat, untuk cycle pertama adalah 57%, untuk cycle kedua adalah 67% dan cycle ketiga dalah 76%. Hasil tersebut membuktikan bahwa debat dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam mengungkapkan pendapat dan menanggapi pendapat.   Kata kunci: Kemampuan Berbicara, Teknik Debat, Penelitian Tindakan Kelas

Abstract

AbstractService Evaluation at the Library of Pontianak's Cultural Value Conservation Center. This study discusses the effect of service on the interest of visitors to visit the Library of the Pontianak Cultural Value Conservation Center. The purpose of this study is to determine the services provided in meeting the needs of visiting interest in office employees and the general public. This study uses qualitative methods and the type of research used is field research or field studies by collecting data through observation, and direct interviews, and through documents. The aspects in the study that were evaluated were the organization of libraries, library collections, library management, library services. The number of informants in the study was 4 people. The determination of informants is based on the researchers' assessment of the informants who are considered to have mastered the data studied. The results showed that the implementation, collection, management, library services had fulfilled the needs of the users and carried out quite well including the implementation based on guidelines, collections that meet the needs of users, good management in improving services, and library services according to varied users. Keywords: Service Evaluation, Library, Special
