Abstract

The Indonesian Ministry of Health highlights that HIV cases are starting to be dominated by young people. The latest data shows that around 51 percent of new HIV cases detected are in teenagers (Rondonuwu, 2022). HIV/AIDS prevention is very necessary for teenagers, considering that the incidence rate is quite high. In this study, research related to factors influencing HIV/AIDS prevention behavior in adolescents will be presented in terms of adolescent knowledge, family and adolescent social support. The aim of this research is to analyze research that has been published in journal form. The research method uses PRISMA, the author searches for journals, identifies, reviews and adjusts them to appropriate criteria so that 8 journals are selected for analysis. Research results: of the 8 journals analyzed, knowledge has a large influence on preventing HIV/AIDS in adolescents. Family and social peer support also has an influence on it, especially in the cultural norms and values that apply where teenagers live. Conclusion: Education for groups of teenagers is prioritized so that teenagers have a good peer social environment, thereby creating high self-awareness among teenagers to behave positively in preventing HIV/AIDS.

Abstract

Biofilm is a collection of microbial cells that are irreversibly attached to a surface and encased in an EPS matrix (Extracellular Polymeric Substances). One of the infectious bacteria that produce biofilms is Staphylococcus aureus. Coffee contains compounds that are responsible for antibacterial activity, including alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, terpenoids/steroids and saponins among others. The purpose of this study was to determine the activity of the antibiofilm between Green Coffee (Coffea canephora P.) and Robusta Coffee (Coffea canephora L.) against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Extraction of green coffee beans and robusta coffee beans was carried out by maceration method, fractionation was carried out by liquid-liquid extraction method using water, ethyl acetate and n-hexane as solvents. Inhibitory activity and biofilm degradation were carried out using the crystal violet staining method which was read at a wavelength of 595 nm. Obtained inhibition and degradation were analyzed using the ANOVA statistical test. The method for testing anti-biofilm activity was determined by testing the inhibition of biofilm formation and biofilm degradation using extracts and fractions robusta green coffee bean (Coffea canephora P.) and roasted robusta coffee beans (Coffea canephora L.) at various concentrations of 2, 4, 8 and 16 mg/ml. Robusta roasted coffee bean extract has the greatest anti-biofilm inhibition effectiveness with IC50 biofilm inhibition of 2.13 ppm. The ethyl acetate fraction from roasted robusta coffee beans has the greatest effectiveness in destroying (degrading) anti-biofilms with the EC50 biofilm degradation of 1.93 ppm.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is called the silent killer because this disease can affect all organs of the body and cause various kinds of complaints. Evaluation of the rationality of oral antidiabetic drugs on the effectiveness of therapy for patients with type II diabetes mellitus, RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta concluded that ADO (biguanide + sulfonylurea) combination therapy is a therapy that is often used in patients and is effective in reducing blood glucose levels within 3 months of treatment. The aim of this study is to know the effectiveness of type II diabetes mellitus treatment therapy, both single treatment (oral or insulin) and combination (oral + oral or oral + insulin) which can reduce blood glucose levels in patients in the outpatient installation of RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta in 2023. This research is non-experimental with retrospective data collection looking at patient medical record data. The sample size was calculated using the Slovin formula so that 88 respondents were obtained. Profile of treatment therapy used in type II diabetes mellitus patients undergoing outpatient treatment at RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta has the most combination therapy of long-acting insulin + rapid-acting insulin with a percentage of 36.4%, then the second most is premixed analog insulin monotherapy with a percentage of 10.2%. The results of the paired sample T-test can be stated that from the 1st to the 2nd month there was a significant decrease in blood sugar levels as well as in the 1st to 3rd month, this indicates that antidiabetic drugs, both oral and injectable, are effective for lower blood sugar levels.

Abstract

The primary cause of cancer-related deaths in women is breast cancer. While its best efforts, the Indonesian government has not been able to considerably lower the incidence of breast cancer while pushing for programs for clinical breast examinations (CBE) and breast self-examination (BSE). Less knowledge exists among reproductive women about early diagnosis of breast cancer symptoms. A lack of knowledge about breast cancer may have an impact on this. Reproductive Women can use the latest technological advancements as a tool to raise their self-awareness and prevent breast cancer. In an attempt to identify breast cancer early, this project attempts to create an online breast cancer prevention (KePO) information system. Through application architectural design and system development, this research creates a KePO information system. The team has created a website with the URL https://kepoinaja.my.id/ as part of an information system for breast cancer prevention. There is an article menu and consultation on this page. Reproductive women can use the consultation menu to find out their breast cancer risk score and the articles menu to read information about breast cancer. It is intended that by offering advice on how to prevent breast cancer risk factors, reproductive women through the KePO website can lower the incidence of breast cancer.

Abstract

Mental health is a significant issue worldwide, including in Indonesia. Over 1 billion people worldwide experience mental disorders, and the prevalence of mental disorders in Indonesia aligns with global data. Mental disorders can lead to a decrease in quality of life and hinder daily activities. Severe or chronic mental disorders tend to result in aggressive behavior and can pose a threat to the safety of oneself and others. Restraint and seclusion measures are often used to reduce violence in patients with mental disorders, despite their negative impact on patients and nurses. Increasing nurses' knowledge and readiness in implementing restraint and seclusion can reduce the risk of negative outcomes and accidents. This study aims to assess nurses' knowledge and readiness in controlling patients in a psychiatric hospital. This is a quantitative study with a descriptive research design conducted at Tampan Psychiatric Hospital in Pekanbaru, Riau Province. The sample size for this study was 94 nurses, selected using total sampling technique. The knowledge instrument in this study consisted of 11 items, measured using the Gutman scale, while the readiness instrument consisted of 46 items, measured using the Likert scale. The results of this study revealed that the majority of nurses were in the age range of >35 years (60.4%). In terms of gender, the majority of nurses were female (59.6%), and most nurses had a Bachelor's degree (59.6%). In terms of position, the majority of nurses held honorary positions (52.1%). Furthermore, the majority of nurses had a high level of knowledge in implementing restraint and seclusion, with a total of 54 (57.45%) individuals. However, most nurses had poor readiness in implementing restraint and seclusion, with a total of 57 (60.44%) individuals.
