Abstract

Zat pemanis ini merupakan suatu senyawa yang secara sengaja ditambahkan dan digunakan untuk meningkatkan cita rasa dan aroma, memperbaiki sifat-sifat fisik, sebagai pegawet, memperbaiki sifat-sifat kimia dan sumber kalori bagi tubuh. Zat pemanis ada dua jenis yaitu pemanis alami dan pemanis buatan. Produsen minuman dan pangan seperti produsen bubble drink lebih memilih untuk menggunakan pemanis buatan dibandingkan pemanis alami karena harga lebih murah dan tingkat kemanisan pemanis buatan lebih tinggi dibandingkan pemanis alami. Pemanis buatan seperti sakarin dan siklamat jika dikonsumsi secara berlebih dapat memicu terjadinya gangguan kesehatan seperti penyakit saraf, hipertensi, dan kanker otak.Jenis penelitian adalah  ekperimental dengan purposive sampling. 25 sampel diperoleh dari penjual bubble drink yang berada di 5 kecamatan yang dijual di kota Surakarta. Tempat penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kimia STIKES Nasional. Uji kualitatif yang digunakan menggunakan rapid test kit sakarin dan siklamat. Hasil uji kualitatif pada 25 sampel menggunakan rapid test kit menunjukkkan hasil negatif,  tidak ditemukan adanya pemanis sakarin dan siklamat.

Abstract

Social welfare can be improved in various ways that can be done, for example, through communityempowerment programs. The part of the community that can be empowered are housewives who aremembers of the PKK organization, especially in Wangen Village, Polanharjo District, Klaten Regency. Theimpact of environmental pollution is due to the disposal of used cooking oil and is followed by an increasein the use of cooking oil due to the appeal to stay at home during the Covid-19 pandemic. The existence ofthis makes a training program and assistance for the utilization of cooking oil waste into soap is the rightthing to deal with this problem. The specific goals and targets to be achieved in this activity are that PKKmothers are interested and motivated to become entrepreneurs, to form groups of PKK members whobecome economically independent by producing soap. In order to achieve this goal, a community serviceprogram was carried out by a lecturer at the University of Duta Bangsa Surakarta who provided soapproduction training conducted by PKK women in Wangen Village. The result of this service is an increasein the skills of PKK Village women in Wangen in making soap from used cooking oil waste.

Abstract

Salah satu tanaman yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai obat tradisional adalah tanaman pepaya (Carica papaya L.). Biji pepaya dapat digunakan sebagai pengobatan tradisional. Pada biji pepaya juga terdapat senyawa metabolit sekunder yang memiliki aktivitas antibakteri yaitu dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri penyebab diare. Penyakit diare dapat disebabkan oleh berbagai bakteri, diantaranya bakteri Escherichia coli. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ekstrak etanol dan fraksi n-heksan, fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi air biji buah papaya (Carica papaya L.) memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 dengan menggunakan metode difusi dan dilusi denga kosentrasi 1%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% serta kontrol positifnya adalah Ciprofloxacin dan kontrol negatifnya adalah DMSO 1%. Hasil dari pengujian ini yaitu ekstrak etanol 96%, fraksi n- heksan, etil asetat dan fraksi air dari biji buah pepaya (Carica papaya L.) mempunyai aktivitas antibakteri terhadap pertumbuhan Escherichia coli ATCC 25922. Fraksi etil asetat dari ekstrak etanol biji buah pepaya merupakan fraksi paling aktif sebagai antibakteri pada konsentrasi 25% dengan diameter daya hambat 6 mm. Nilai Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum (KHM) sulit ditentukan, karena fraksi etil asetat berwarna dan sulit menentukan hasil yang keruh dan jernih. Nilai dari Konsentrasi Bunuh Minimum (KBM) yang didapat adalah 25%.

Abstract

Kulit buah jeruk selama ini tidak dimanfaatkan padahal kandungan senyawa kulit jeruk yang sangatlah sangatlah bervariasi salah satu senyawa yang terdapat dalam kulit jeruk jeruk adalah hesperidin yang termasuk golongan flavanoid. Senyawa hisperidin mempunyai potensi yang lebih tinggi dibanding senyawa pada lengkuas, secang, maupun kunyit. Hal itu dikarenakan senyawa jeruk itu dapat mengikat kuat dengan mudah pada protein target pada virus maupun sel inang sehigga dapat ditarik kesimpulan senyawa di jeruk membuat blokade yang menghambat virus dalam berkembang melakukan replikasi dan menginfeksi sel inang Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi dan mengidentifikasi hisperidin dari kulit jeruk dan mengetahui nilai IC50 . Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode soxletasi kemudian dilakukan identifikasi hisperidin kemudian dilanjutkan uji kemurnian isolat dengan penentuan titik leleh dan dilakukan identifikasi menggunakan spektrofotometri UV dan spektrofotometri infra merahdan FT-IR. Hasil yang diperoleh dari KLT, nilai Rf dari kulit buah jeruk manis jeruk 0,83 sedangkan nilai Rf pembanding hesperidin 0,80. Hasil spektrum UV dan IR menunjukkan bahwa isolat identik dengan hesperidin baku, sedangkan untuk uji antioksidan dilakukan dengan metode DPPH 0,1 mM dan hitung nilai IC50. Analisis statistik digunakan uji T-Test. Hasil uji DPPH ekstrak kulit jeruk bali memiliki aktivitas antioksidan kuat dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 39,77 µg/ml.

Abstract

Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, kulit manusia tidak dapat terhindar dari paparan langsung polusi udara, radiasi matahari serta penggunaan bahan-bahan kimia yang dapat memicu penuaan dini akibat radikal bebas. Produk kosmetika anti aging yang mengandung antioksidan telah beredar luas untuk menjaga kesehatan kulit dari efek radikal bebas.Kandungan senyawa kimia antioksidan yang ada dalam tanaman krokot (Portulaca oleracea L.) dan teh hijau ( Camelia sinensis.L) dipercaya bisa mencegah radikal bebas oleh karena itu peneliti mengembangkan suatu sediaan berupa serum kombinasi ekstrak krokot dan teh hijau. Sediaan serum kombinasi ekstrak teh hijau dan krokot dibuat dengan cara memformulasikan sediaan dengan bahan seperti HPMC, kitosan, twwen 80. selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian antioksidan ekstrak dan sedian formula serum spray dengan metode FRAP, setelah itu dilakukan evaluasi sediaan meliputi homogenitas, pH, daya lekat, viskositas, dan hedonik Sediaan serum kombinasi ekstrak krokot dan teh hijau dalam sediaan spray gel menghasilkan warna hujau kecoklatan, berbau sedikit asam dan bertekstur lembut. Viskositas yang dihasilkan pada serum green tea berkisaran 1330 - 1362 cPs dengan nilai pH pada range 5,67 – 5,72. Dari uji hedonik yang dilakukan, hasil yang didapat adalah warna dan aroma kurang disukai oleh panelis sedangkan untuk kenyamanan penggunaan spray gel panelis menyukai tekstur semua formula. Penguiian FRAP ekstrak krokot dan teh hijau memiliki nilai IC50 sebesar 132.87 ppm, 95.16 ppm sedangkan formulasi 1,2, dan 3 secara berturut-turut memiliki nilai IC50 sebesar 83.91 ppm; 27.24 ppm; dan 69.91 ppm.

Abstract

Antioxidants are compounds that can stabilize free radicals in the body. Free radicals are highly reactive molecules as they have unpaired electrons to interact with body cell molecules. Tomatoes contain flavonoids, saponins, solanine tannins, folic acid, malic acid, citric acid, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, and histamine, which can be used as antioxidants. This study aims to evaluate the antioxidant activity of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, water fraction, and ethanol extracts of Tomatoes and to determine the greatest antioxidant activity between n-hexane, ethyl acetate, water and vitamin C. Tomatoes (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.) was extracted using the maceration method with ethanol  followed by fractionation using n-hexane and ethyl acetate solvents. The test of antioxidant activity to DPPH radical was conducted on n-hexane, ethyl acetate, water, and vitamin C. The antioxidant activity results, expressed by IC50 value to the n-hexane, ethyl acetate, water fraction of Tomatoes fruit, were 4.4603 ppm; 4.0868 ppm; and 4.0527 ppm, respectively. Thus, the greatest antioxidant activity was the water fraction.

Kitolod plant (isotoma longiflora (L) C.Presl) contains alkaloids, flavonoids, and saponins. The content of this compound has antibacterial activity. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of the n-hexane, ethyl acetate and water fractions from the ethanolic extract of kitolod leaves against Staphylococcus aureus, and to determine the most active fraction in inhibiting bacteria. This research is an experimental descriptive study. The ethanolic extract of kitolod leaves was obtained by maceration method using 96% ethanol solvent, the viscous extract obtained was fractionated with three solvents, and dissolved in 1% DMSO then tested for its antibacterial power by diffusion and dilution method against Staphylococcus aureus at concentrations of 15%, 20%, 25%, and 30% using ofloxacin positive control. The test results obtained were analyzed using the One Way Anova test followed by the Post Hoc Test using the Tukey method using SPSS16. The results of the test using the diffusion method showed that the ethanol extract, n-hexane fraction, ethyl acetate fraction and water fraction had antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus. The most active fraction was the water fraction at a concentration of 30%, with an average inhibition zone diameter of 19.0 mm. The inhibitory power was lower than the positive control ofloxacin (28.3 mm). The dilution method of the water fraction showed a minimum inhibitory concentration and a minimum kill concentration at a concentration of 15%.

Abstract

Phthalimide derivate compounds was reported as a new class of nonnucleoside reverse tranckriptase inhibitors. The aim of this research is to determine the prediction of absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) as well as the toxicity test of phthalimide-derived compounds which have the best potential as HIV-1 reverse transcriptase enzyme inhibitors. This study used an in silico approach to predict oral bioavailability and toxicity. The prediction of the ADME in this study using SwissADME which is run online where thirty-three phthalimide derivate compounds have molecular weight, hydrogen donor and acceptor bond, and log P ​​that meet the criteria of Lipinski Rules. Prediction of toxicity ​​in this study using in silico method with Toxtree v1.60 and it is known that phthalimide derivate compounds are not carcinogenic and mutagenic.

Abstract

Skin aging is a problem for women caused by external factors, namely exposure to free radicals such as sunlight, antiaging cosmetic products containing antioxidants have been widely circulated to maintain skin health from the effects of free radicals. The content of antioxidant chemical compounds in the purslane plant (Portulaca oleracea L.) is believed to be able to prevent free radicals. Purslane plant extract serum preparations were made by formulating preparations with ingredients such as HPMC, chitosan, tween 80. Furthermore, antioxidant testing of extracts and preparations of serum spray formulas was carried out using the DPPH method, after which evaluation of the preparations included homogeneity, pH, adhesion, viscosity, and hedonic. The preparation of purslane plant extract serum in the spray gel preparation produces a brownish green color, has a slightly sour smell and has a soft texture. The resulting viscosity in the serum ranged from 1330 - 1362 cPs with a pH value in the range of 5.67 - 5.72. From the hedonic test carried out, the results obtained were that the color and aroma were less favored by the panelists while for the convenience of using spray gel the panelists liked the texture of all purslane (Portulaca oleracea L.) plant extract formulas. Based on this research, the IC50 value of purslane (Portulaca oleracea L.) plant extract was 132.87 ppm, while the formula had an IC50 value of 83.91 ppm. Therefore, antiaging serum in spray gel formulation has stronger antioxidant activity than purslane (Portulaca oleracea L.) plant extract.
