Abstract

This study is to examine risk management techniques in broiler chicken production within West Aceh Regency. Broiler production is a rapidly yielding agricultural enterprise, although it is susceptible to production and financial hazards, such as disease outbreaks, fluctuations in feed prices, and mortality rates. Employing a case study methodology, primary data were gathered via field observations, structured interviews, and documentation from one of the largest independent broiler farms in the area. Data were examined with descriptive techniques, income assessment, and quantitative risk metrics including Coefficient of Variation (CV) and Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR). The analysis demonstrated that the average mortality rate (8,1%) beyond the industry tolerance threshold (3–5%), and the FCR value (2,3) suggested diminished feed efficiency, highlighting operational difficulties. The financial analysis indicated that the business is viable, evidenced by a coefficient of variation of 0,35 and a positive lower-bound income, implying modest risk yet sustained returns. The study highlights the significance of systematic risk management strategies—particularly in illness prevention, feed optimization, and DOC quality control—to guarantee farm resilience and profitability. These findings offer practical insights for smallholder farmers and policymakers aiming to enhance the broiler sector in rural Indonesia.

Abstract

The high employee turnover rate at Indomaret Lhokseumawe is thought to be caused by dissatisfaction with the compensation system and lack of work-life balance. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method, involving 43 active employees from several Indomaret outlets. The results show that compensation and work-life balance have a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty. This means that the better the compensation system and the more work-life balance employees feel, the higher their loyalty to the company. The implication is that Indomaret management needs to strengthen compensation strategies and work-life balance policies in order to create a healthy, productive work environment and be able to retain employees in the long term.

Abstract

The implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in public companies in Indonesia is becoming increasingly demanded as attention to sustainability issues grows. However, not all companies are able to optimally integrate the SDGs. This issue raises questions about the factors influencing the level of SDG implementation, particularly the role of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and sustainability audits. This research aims to analyze the influence of GCG and sustainability audits on the implementation of SDGs in public companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research method uses a quantitative approach with purposive sampling technique and a total of 100 respondents from management and staff related to company sustainability. Data were analyzed using SPSS thru validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumptions testing, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing (t-test and F-test). The research results indicate that GCG and sustainability audits simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the implementation of SDGs, with a contribution of 61.2%. Partially, both variables also have a significant effect. This finding confirms that strengthening good corporate governance and conducting credible sustainability audits are important strategies for improving the successful implementation of SDGs in public companies in Indonesia.
