Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini berfokus pada kinerja kepala sekolah di SMA Negeri 10 Batang Hari yang ditemukan beberapa masalah seperti administrasi guru yang tidak tepat waktu, kurangnya pengawasan, dan rendahnya motivasi tenaga pendidik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kinerja kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Partisipan penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru, staf, dan perwakilan komite sekolah. Data dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan sesuai model Miles dan Huberman. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah telah menjalankan peran sebagai educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, inovator, dan motivator dengan cukup baik. Kepala sekolah memimpin perencanaan mutu berbasis visi-misi, menggerakkan guru dan komite secara partisipatif untuk mewujudkan program terarah dan berkelanjutan. Strategi yang diterapkan antara lain kepemimpinan partisipatif, pengembangan profesional guru, pemberian penghargaan, dan penciptaan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif. Strategi tersebut mendorong tumbuhnya budaya kerja yang positif, semangat inovasi, dan peningkatan mutu pembelajaran secara berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci: Kepala Sekolah, Kepemimpinan Holistik, Mutu Pendidikan, Sekolah Menengah Atas Abstract This study focuses on the performance of the principal at SMA Negeri 10 Batang Hari, where several issues were identified, such as delayed teacher administration, lack of supervision, and low educator motivation. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the principal’s performance in improving the quality of education at the school. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Research participants consist of the principal, teachers, staff, and school committee representatives. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques based on the Miles and Huberman model. Data validity was tested through source and technique triangulation. The results show that the principal has performed well in the roles of educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator, and motivator. The principal leads quality planning based on the school’s vision and mission, mobilizes teachers and committees participatively to realize well-directed and sustainable programs. The strategies implemented include participative leadership, teacher professional development, reward systems, and the creation of a conducive work environment. These strategies encourage the growth of a positive work culture, innovation spirit, and continuous improvement in learning quality.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran pendidikan akhlak dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan santri di Pondok Pesantren Zulhijjah Batanghari. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, melalui teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Fokus penelitian ini diarahkan pada bagaimana pendidikan akhlak tidak hanya dipahami sebagai transfer pengetahuan, tetapi juga sebagai proses internalisasi nilai-nilai yang tercermin dalam sikap, perilaku, serta kepatuhan santri terhadap aturan dan tata tertib yang berlaku di pesantren. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai akhlak seperti kejujuran, tanggung jawab, ketaatan, kedisiplinan, serta penghormatan kepada guru berperan besar dalam membentuk perilaku disiplin santri. Penerapan nilai-nilai tersebut dilaksanakan melalui pembiasaan dan dicontohkan dalam kegiatan sehari-hari, baik yang bersifat ritual keagamaan seperti shalat berjamaah, membaca al-Qur’an, dan pengajian kitab, maupun kegiatan sosial seperti gotong royong dan kerja sama antar santri. Selain itu, metode pembinaan yang dilakukan oleh ustaz dan ustazah melalui keteladanan serta penerapan mekanisme ta’zir turut memperkuat konsistensi kedisiplinan. Keteladanan guru menjadi model nyata yang ditiru santri, sementara ta’zir berfungsi sebagai bentuk edukasi dan pengendalian agar santri memahami konsekuensi dari pelanggaran aturan. Dengan demikian, pendidikan akhlak terbukti menjadi fondasi utama dalam membentuk santri yang tidak hanya disiplin, tetapi juga memiliki integritas, tanggung jawab, dan kesiapan untuk menghadapi tantangan kehidupan di masyarakat. Abstract This study aims to explain the role of moral education in improving the discipline of students (santri) at Zulhijjah Islamic Boarding School in Batanghari. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The focus of this study is on how moral education is not only understood as a transfer of knowledge but also as a process of internalizing values reflected in the attitudes, behaviors, and compliance of santri with the rules of the pesantren. The findings show that moral values such as honesty, responsibility, obedience, discipline, and respect for teachers play a significant role in shaping the disciplined behavior of the santri. The implementation of these values is carried out through habituation and modeling in daily activities, both religious rituals such as congregational prayers, Qur'an recitation, and religious studies as well as social activities like mutual cooperation and collaboration among students. In addition, the guidance methods applied by teachers (ustadz and ustadzah) through role modeling and the implementation of the ta’zir mechanism further strengthen discipline. The exemplary behavior of teachers serves as a model for students to emulate, while ta’zir functions as both an educational tool and a form of control to help students understand the consequences of violating rules. Thus, moral education has proven to be a foundation in shaping students who are not only disciplined but also possess integrity, a sense of responsibility, and readiness to face challenges in society. Abstract

The discharge process of inpatient care includes activities from when a patient is medically declared fit for discharge until they leave the hospital administratively. This study aims to analyze the root causes and time required for completing inpatient discharge administration at Royal Prima General Hospital Medan. This research used a qualitative analytical approach with a case study design. The informants consisted of 55 people, including 5 hospital staff and 50 patients. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, inductive and deductive analysis, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the average waiting time for inpatient discharge was 53.39 minutes, which is in accordance with the Minimum Service Standards (SPM). However, some units did not meet the standards, particularly the pharmacy department (61.12 minutes). The identified root causes included lengthy administrative procedures, delayed examination reports, limited human resources, drug shortages, and system network issues. In conclusion, although the overall waiting time met the SPM, improvements are needed in pharmacy and administrative units to enhance efficiency and accelerate the discharge process.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas konflik norma yang timbul antara peraturan daerah dan peraturan pemerintah yang lebih tinggi terkait dengan pengembalian Bea Perolehan Hak Atas Tanah dan Bangunan (BPHTB) dalam kasus pembatalan Perjanjian Pengikatan Jual Beli (PPJB). Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan merumuskan solusi normatif terhadap ketidaksesuaian antara Pasal 16 Ayat (9) Peraturan Bupati Malang Nomor 191 Tahun 2024 dan peraturan lainnya yang mengatur BPHTB. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah penelitian yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan peraturan perundang-undangan dan konsep hukum. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka, dengan bahan hukum primer dan sekunder, kemudian dianalisis secara preskriptif dan sistematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa reformulasi terhadap pasal yang mengatur pengembalian BPHTB sangat diperlukan untuk menciptakan keadilan dan kepastian hukum bagi wajib pajak. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada penataan ulang regulasi BPHTB, serta memberikan solusi terhadap konflik norma yang ada. Kata Kunci: Bea Perolehan Hak Atas Tanah dan Bangunan, BPHTB, Konflik Norma, Peraturan Daerah, Pembatalan PPJB Abstract This study addresses the conflict of norms arising between regional regulations and higher government regulations concerning the refund of Land and Building Acquisition Duty (BPHTB) in the case of the cancellation of the Sale and Purchase Binding Agreement (PPJB). The focus of this research is to analyze and formulate a normative solution to the inconsistency between Article 16 Paragraph (9) of the Regent of Malang Regulation No. 191 of 2024 and other regulations governing BPHTB. The methodology used is a normative legal research with an approach of legislation and legal concepts. Data were collected through library research, using primary and secondary legal sources, and then analyzed prescriptively and systematically. The results of the study indicate that a reformulation of the article governing BPHTB refunds is necessary to create justice and legal certainty for taxpayers. This research contributes to the reorganization of BPHTB regulations and provides solutions to the existing norm conflicts. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji hubungan antara praktik manajemen kelas dan motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Aqidah Akhlak di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah Binjai. Manajemen kelas yang efektif secara teoretis merupakan fondasi penting untuk mencapai pendidikan berkualitas dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif. Namun, observasi awal menunjukkan masih adanya tantangan disiplin seperti penggunaan ponsel dan gangguan di kelas, sehingga diperlukan kajian empiris terkait dampak manajemen kelas yang diterapkan. Menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya pada dua variabel (manajemen kelas α=0,633; motivasi belajar α=0,688). Uji asumsional menunjukkan data normal dan linier. Temuan deskriptif mengindikasikan pelaksanaan manajemen kelas pada kategori “sangat tinggi” (X=4,21) dan motivasi siswa kategori “tinggi” (Y=4,02). Analisis korelasi Pearson menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan secara statistik (p=0,000), namun kekuatan hubungan ini sangat lemah (r=0,182). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh manajemen kelas terhadap motivasi siswa terbatas, sehingga disarankan agar pendidik tetap menjaga kualitas manajemen kelas sambil memfokuskan upaya pada faktor inovatif lain yang lebih berdampak terhadap motivasi belajar. Kata Kunci: Manajemen Kelas, Motivasi Belajar, Korelasi Pearson, Aqidah Akhlak, Penelitian Kuantitatif Abstract This study investigates the relationship between classroom management practices and student motivation in Aqidah Akhlak (Islamic Faith and Morals) education at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah Binjai. Effective classroom management is considered fundamentally important for ensuring quality education and fostering a positive learning environment. Nevertheless, initial observation identified disciplinary issues, such as students’ mobile phone usage and classroom distractions, prompting an empirical assessment of existing classroom management. Utilizing a quantitative correlational approach, data were collected with validated and reliable questionnaires for two variables (classroom management α=0.633; motivation α=0.688). Prerequisite tests confirmed normal and linear data distribution. Descriptive results showed that classroom management was rated “very high” (X=4.21) and student motivation “high” (Y=4.02). Pearson correlation analysis revealed a statistically significant positive relationship (p=0.000), though the strength was classified as very low (r=0.182). These findings indicate that while classroom management has a positive impact, its contribution to student motivation is limited. Thus, educators are advised to maintain strong classroom management while strategically targeting other high-impact factors to further enhance motivation. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis praktik komunikasi dalam kepengurusan Kelompok Remaja Masjid Jami’ Desa Dalu Sepuluh A dengan menggunakan pendekatan teori Interaksionisme Simbolik. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah bagaimana simbol, bahasa, dan interaksi yang terbentuk dalam aktivitas organisasi remaja masjid memproduksi makna bersama serta membentuk identitas kolektif berbasis nilai keislaman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi kegiatan organisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik komunikasi dalam kelompok tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana penyampaian informasi, tetapi juga sarat dengan makna simbolik yang mencerminkan nilai keagamaan, struktur sosial, dan kohesi kelompok. Simbol-simbol seperti salam, penugasan dalam kegiatan dakwah, pemilihan bahasa dalam rapat, dan struktur kepemimpinan berperan sebagai konstruksi simbolik yang memperkuat identitas dan budaya organisasi. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan kajian komunikasi organisasi keagamaan berbasis komunitas lokal. Kata Kunci: Interaksionisme Simbolik, Komunikasi Organisasi, Remaja Masjid, Makna Simbolik, Komunitas Keagamaan Abstract This study aims to analyze communication practices within the management of the Youth Group of Jami’ Mosque in Dalu Sepuluh A Village through the perspective of Symbolic Interactionism. The primary focus of this research is on how symbols, language, and interaction formed in youth mosque organizational activities produce shared meanings and construct a collective identity grounded in Islamic values. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation of organizational activities. The findings reveal that communication practices within the group do not merely function as channels for information delivery but are rich in symbolic meanings that reflect religious values, social structures, and group cohesion. Symbols such as salam, delegated roles in dakwah activities, language choices in meetings, and religiously oriented leadership structures serve as symbolic constructions that strengthen organizational identity and culture. These findings contribute to the development of organizational communication studies within local-based religious communities. Abstract

Abstrak Keamanan maritim telah menjadi isu strategis yang semakin menonjol dalam konteks pertahanan global dan regional. Laut, sebagai jalur utama perdagangan internasional dan logistik energi, sangat rentan terhadap eksploitasi oleh aktor non-negara seperti perompak dan teroris maritim. Indonesia, sebagai negara kepulauan terbesar di dunia, menghadapi tantangan serius dalam menjaga wilayah perairannya yang luas dan strategis, termasuk Selat Malaka dan jalur ALKI. Artikel ini menyajikan studi komparatif antara TNI Angkatan Laut dan Angkatan Laut Kerajaan Arab Saudi dalam menangani ancaman terorisme maritim. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan analisis doktrinal, penelitian ini menelaah peran operasional, kerangka strategi, dan respons kelembagaan kedua angkatan laut. Penelitian ini menemukan beberapa kesamaan, seperti penggunaan pasukan elit maritim dan koordinasi antar-lembaga, serta perbedaan dalam keterlibatan internasional dan penekanan doktrinal. Dari perbandingan tersebut, artikel ini mengidentifikasi praktik terbaik yang dapat diterapkan untuk memperkuat postur pertahanan maritim Indonesia, sejalan dengan visi strategis nasional seperti Asta Cita Presiden Prabowo Subianto. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi terhadap diskursus akademik tentang keamanan maritim, serta menawarkan rekomendasi kebijakan untuk peningkatan kesiapan angkatan laut dan kerja sama lintas batas. Studi ini menegaskan pentingnya kemampuan maritim yang adaptif dan proaktif guna menjaga kedaulatan nasional di tengah meningkatnya ancaman transnasional. Abstract Maritime security has become an increasingly strategic issue in the context of global and regional defense. The maritime domain, while serving as a key route for international trade and energy logistics, is vulnerable to exploitation by non-state actors, including pirates and maritime terrorists. Indonesia, as the world’s largest archipelagic state, faces significant maritime threats due to its vast territorial waters and its position along critical sea lanes such as the Malacca Strait and ALKI routes. This paper explores a comparative study of the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) and the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) in addressing maritime terrorism. Drawing on qualitative methods and doctrinal analysis, the study investigates the operational roles, strategic frameworks, and institutional responses of both navies. The research highlights key similarities, such as the deployment of elite maritime forces and inter-agency coordination, as well as differences in their international engagement and doctrinal emphasis. Through this comparison, the article identifies best practices that could strengthen Indonesia’s maritime defense posture in line with national strategic visions, such as the Asta Cita of President Prabowo Subianto. This research contributes to the academic discourse on maritime security and provides policy recommendations for enhancing naval readiness and cross-border maritime cooperation. The study underscores the need for adaptive and proactive naval capabilities to secure national sovereignty amid rising transnational maritime threats. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relevance, ecological messages, and environmental education concepts to prevent floods and landslides in Sumatra in QS Ar-Rūm verse 41. Using a qualitative approach based on literature study, this study examines classical and contemporary interpretations, disaster reports, and scientific literature related to environmental damage. The results of the study indicate that the concept of facade described in the verse is in line with the current ecological crisis triggered by deforestation, land conversion, watershed damage, and irresponsible human behavior. These factors exacerbate disaster risks and make them anthropogenic disasters. The study concludes that Qur'anic ecotheology through the principles of monotheism, caliphate, mizan, and Amanah is an important foundation for environmental education and the formation of ethical-spiritual awareness to prevent ecological damage.

Abstract

This research focuses on optimizing biochar production from palm kernel shells (PKS) as an environmentally friendly alternative to metallurgical coke. PKS was chosen due to its abundance, high lignocellulose content, and competitive heating value. The conversion process was carried out via pyrolysis at temperatures of 400–700°C with varying residence times. To ensure the biochar produced meets metallurgical coke specifications, this research uses a Response Surface Methodology (RSM) approach with a Central Composite Design (CCD) model to optimize temperature and time parameters. The initial stage involved pre-treatment using water leaching, successfully reducing ash content from 5.68% to 1.25%. Optimization results show that at a temperature of 600–700°C with a residence time of 2–3 hours, the resulting biochar exhibits characteristics that comply with metallurgical coke standards, such as high fixed carbon content (>85%), low ash content (<6%), and a calorific value of 7200 kcal/kg. Moreover, increasing pyrolysis temperature and time also reduces volatile matter and moisture content, resulting in more stable and efficient biochar. This research provides a real solution for utilizing PKS waste as an alternative raw material for the steel industry, reducing dependence on imported coal-based coke. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan Pendidikan Agama Islam di Kota Balikpapan, sebuah kota industri yang masih menghadapi ketimpangan akses dan mutu pendidikan. Menjawab keterbatasan bukti empiris tentang mekanisme CSR yang berujung pada luaran pendidikan, studi ini menggunakan desain studi kasus kualitatif pada PT Inkorincorp Velocity. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi lapangan, dan analisis dokumen, lalu dianalisis dengan analisis tematik yang dipandu perspektif CSR berbasis pemangku kepentingan serta etika Islam ta’awun (tolong-menolong). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dua bentuk utama CSR, yaitu (1) bantuan material (beasiswa, sarana pembelajaran, dan perbaikan fasilitas) dan (2) bantuan non-material (pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi pendidik), yang dijalankan melalui mekanisme pasif (berbasis permohonan lembaga) dan aktif (inisiatif perusahaan). Kombinasi mekanisme tersebut memperkuat akses, kondisi belajar, dan kapasitas guru, sekaligus membangun nilai reputasi perusahaan. Studi ini menawarkan kontribusi konseptual berupa pemetaan jalur mekanisme CSR–pendidikan pada konteks Pendidikan Agama Islam serta implikasi praktis untuk menyelaraskan tata kelola CSR dengan prioritas pendidikan lokal dan kerangka kebijakan. Kata Kunci: CSR; Pendidikan Agama Islam; mekanisme CSR; pengembangan guru; beasiswa; Balikpapan Abstract This study examines how corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives contribute to the development of Islamic religious education in Balikpapan, an industrial city where educational inequality remains salient. Addressing limited empirical evidence on the mechanisms through which CSR translates into educational outcomes, the study employs a qualitative case study of PT Inkorincorp Velocity. Data were generated through semi-structured interviews, field observations, and document analysis, and analysed using thematic analysis informed by stakeholder-oriented CSR perspectives and the Islamic ethical principle of ta’awun (mutual assistance). The findings show two dominant CSR streams—(i) material support (scholarships, learning facilities, and infrastructure) and (ii) non-material support (teacher capacity-building programmes)—implemented through passive (institution-request driven) and active (company-initiated) delivery systems. These mechanisms jointly strengthen access, learning conditions, and teacher competence while simultaneously producing reputational value for the firm. The study contributes an integrative mechanism-based account of CSR-to-education pathways within Islamic schooling contexts and offers practical implications for aligning corporate CSR governance with local educational priorities and policy frameworks.
