Abstract

Community-based education management in Indonesia, especially in environments with strong cultures such as Madin Al-Hidayah Pasuruan, faces challenges in integrating traditional and modern leadership. The main problem is how to combine these two paradigms harmoniously to improve the effectiveness of management and sustainability of educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the process of integrating traditional and modern leadership in Madin Al-Hidayah and identify factors that influence its success. The approach used is qualitative with a case study, through primary data collection from in-depth interviews with 26 respondents including leaders, teachers, and community leaders, as well as secondary data from related documents and literature. Data were analyzed using thematic methods to identify patterns and relationships that support interpretation. The results of the study indicate that the success of integration depends on cultural sensitivity, leader capacity, and adaptive communication strategies. Strategies that successfully implement a gradual and participatory approach successfully strengthen the relationship between customary power and innovative principles of modern leadership. These findings suggest the need for capacity training, active community involvement, and the development of contextual and harmonious leadership models. This study contributes to the development of theory and practice of culture-based education management in Indonesia, while opening up opportunities for in-depth studies on leadership transformation in customary-based communities.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum in inclusive schools in East Lombok Regency. Considering the large number of people with disabilities in this area, this research explores the challenges faced by teachers in interactions with students, understanding the curriculum, as well as available resources. Qualitative descriptive research method was used, with data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of research on the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum in inclusive schools in East Lombok show a significant positive impact on the development of inclusive students, especially in the aspects of communication, motor, cognitive, and independent ability. This success was influenced by the teacher's understanding in implementing differentiated learning and support from special inclusion teachers. However, there are still challenges, such as limited resources and training, as well as a learning culture that is not yet inclusive. To increase the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum in inclusive schools, ongoing training, development of individual learning plans, and improvement of facilities are needed. Supports from the government, schools, and community are critical to long-term success. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the development of a sustainable and responsive inclusive education environment in East Lombok.

Abstract

This study aims to review employee performance at a private school in Surabaya by analyzing the influence of entrepreneurial leadership, organizational climate, workload, and OCB on employee performance. We use structural equation modeling (SEM) as the method to study complex relationships between variables. The study seeks to provide in-depth insights into the factors affecting employee performance and assist schools in designing strategies to enhance achievement and competitiveness. The results indicate that entrepreneurial leadership, organizational climate, and workload do not have a significant direct impact on employee performance. However, OCB has a significant effect on performance. Additionally, organizational climate and workload significantly influence OCB, while entrepreneurial leadership does not have a significant effect on OCB. These findings highlight the importance of OCB in improving employee performance, as well as the necessity of creating a conducive organizational climate and effectively managing workload to maximize employee contributions in educational institutions.

Abstract

The implementation of Merdeka Curriculum requires the support of adequate facilities and infrastructure and effective management to support contextual, flexible learning, and encourage student independence. However, there are still challenges such as limited facilities, non-optimal management, and less than optimal utilization. This study aims to examine the management of facilities and infrastructure at Al Huda Junior High School Kediri Town, including planning, procurement, arrangement, utilization, and elimination, in order to determine the school's readiness in supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation from the principal, vice principal of facilities, vice principal of curriculum, P5 teachers, and students. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, validity checking, and conclusion drawing using the triangulation method. The results showed that the management of facilities and infrastructure has been implemented systematically. Planning is done through meetings, analysis of the Education Report Card, and preparation of priority needs. Procurement is outlined in the School Activity and Budget Plan (RKAS) through purchases, grants, repairs and self-making with official documentation. Arrangements include inventory, storage and routine maintenance. Utilization is optimized through usage schedules, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), training, and integration in project-based learning. Removal has not been done yet, but procedures have been prepared if needed.

Abstract

Termination of employment in Islamic educational institutions is a strategic challenge that affects the sustainability of the institution and the welfare of educators. This study aims to develop an innovative model of sharia-based termination procedures that is fair, humane, and in accordance with national law and Islamic principles. This study used a systematic literature study method with qualitative analysis of 10 primary sources consisting of journal articles published in the last ten years. The analysisfocused on the causes of employment termination, implementation procedures, psychological impacts, and variations in practice in the field. The results revealed that termination was generally triggered by declining enrolment, organizational restructuring, performance issues and budget constraints. Although most institutions have implemented formal procedures such as writtennotification and severance pay, the implementation of deliberation and transparency still varies. The psychological impactsexperienced by educators include decreased motivation and a sense of injustice, potentially lowering the professionalism of theremaining staff. This research offers a model of sharia-based termination procedures that integrates open deliberation, theestablishment of a multi-stakeholder mediation board, digitization of management systems, as well as collaboration with Islamicfinancial institutions. This model is a new contribution that emphasizes fairness, ethics, and efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of web-based Academic Information Systems on student satisfaction. The digital transformation in education requires the optimization of academic information systems to improve the efficiency of both academic and non-academic services. However, the implementation of such systems often faces several challenges, including user resistance, limited infrastructure, and suboptimal data quality. This research employed a quantitative approach with a population of 59 active students from the Islamic Education Management Study Program at the Institut Agama Islam Tasikmalaya. A sample of 51 respondents was determined using the Isaac and Michael formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation studies, with the latter serving as secondary data in the form of institutional records to complement and validate the information obtained from respondents, and then analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, and t-tests with IBM SPSS version 26. The findings indicate that the levels of system usage and student satisfaction fall into the moderate category. The coefficient of determination test resulted in a value of 31.3%, suggesting that the use of the Academic Information System contributes to student satisfaction, while the remaining 68.7% is influenced by other factors. Furthermore, the t-test produced a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating that the use of web-based Academic Information Systems has a significant effect on student satisfaction.
