Abstract

Collaborative interaction is a collaboration between experienced and aspiring educators to achieve a common educational goal, involving observation and reflection to understand and improve teaching strategies. Research at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Tulangan shows that this collaboration is effective in helping educators and prospective educators develop more effective teaching skills and methods, ultimately improving the quality of education. This research used qualitative methods with interviews, observation and documentation approaches. The aim was to improve collaboration through knowledge sharing and the development of innovative teaching strategies. Socialization of activities included initial meetings, information distribution, discussions and debriefings. Coordination with schools involved scheduling, use of facilities and division of tasks. Learner introductions are conducted so that prospective educators can interact with students. The implementation of collaboration uses active learning methods, with evaluation through data collection, analysis, report preparation, and presentation of results to improve the quality of education. The collaboration involves sharing tasks and responsibilities, as well as guidance from experienced educators, allowing prospective educators to learn classroom management, teaching strategies and how to handle classroom situations. This enhances the professional competence of future educators and enriches the teaching methods of experienced educators through the exchange of ideas. The use of technology and active learning methods also improves learner participation and learning outcomes. The results of this study provide practical guidance for better teacher training programs and more effective education policies, creating a dynamic learning environment, helping all parties develop and improving the overall quality of education.

Abstract

Despite the pivotal role of Islamic universities, there remains a gap in understanding their transformative potential in addressing contemporary challenges exacerbated by globalization and modernization. Issues such as ethical enrichment alongside intellectual development pose challenges that require exploration.Existing literature highlights the dual challenge of balancing intellectual rigor with ethical enrichment within Islamic educational settings. However, specific insights into how Islamic campuses integrate these elements to foster transformative change remain underexplored. This study aims to explore the concept of Islamic campuses as transformative and progressive agents, focusing on their role in integrating Islamic values with modern knowledge and addressing societal challenges through education and community engagement.Findings from this literature-based research reveal that Islamic campuses, exemplified by Universitas 'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta, effectively integrate Islamic principles into their educational framework. Results indicate substantial progress in facilities such as mosques, libraries, and classrooms reflecting Islamic values, thereby enhancing the holistic development of students. This study contributes to understanding how Islamic campuses navigate the intersection of traditional Islamic teachings with contemporary educational demands, offering insights into their role as agents of ethical and intellectual transformation. The findings underscore the importance of integrating Islamic ethics with modern education, emphasizing the potential of Islamic campuses to foster socially responsible graduates equipped to address global challenges while upholding Islamic values

Abstract

The role of Islamic education in higher education institutions is pivotal in shaping students' character, morals, and religious understanding. However, the diversity in students' cultural backgrounds, levels of comprehension, and learning styles presents challenges in designing effective and personalized learning strategies. Success in Islamic education at the tertiary level hinges not only on the content of the material but also on the methodologies employed to convey religious values and foster deep understanding. In the era of technological advancement and the Information Society 5.0, traditional approaches to Islamic education may need to be adapted to more adaptive and personalized methods. Each student has unique learning preferences, varying levels of comprehension, and individual challenges in relating religious teachings to everyday life. Thus, innovative approaches are necessary to determine optimal learning strategies.Fuzzy logic, a component of artificial intelligence, can address the complexities in decision-making.Fuzzy logic allows for more flexible measurement by enabling values between 0 and 1, reflecting the degree of membership of an element in a particular set. The application of fuzzy logic is expected to make decision-making regarding Islamic education strategies more adaptive, accurate, and tailored to individual characteristics.

Abstract

This research is a development study utilizing a mixed-methods design to create an e-module based on blended learning for tenth-grade students at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang for the 2022-2023 academic year. The ADDIE model was employed for the development process, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation phases. The Analysis phase identified the need for a new learning module due to student disengagement with traditional Qur’an Hadith instruction and curriculum requirements. In the Design phase, a comprehensive e-module structure was developed, incorporating essential learning elements and aligned with curriculum standards. During the Development phase, the e-module was created using Flipbook Maker, allowing for an interactive digital format. The Implementation phase involved testing the module with a small group of students and subsequently with a larger class, receiving positive feedback. The Evaluation phase assessed the module’s effectiveness through pre- and post-tests, alongside expert and user feedback. Results indicated that the e-module significantly improved student engagement and understanding, with expert reviews and student surveys confirming its effectiveness and applicability. The e-module, available at https://online.flipbuilder.com/stafd/keag/, is deemed a valuable tool for both face-to-face and distance learning. Future research could expand testing to a broader audience and explore further design improvements.

Abstract

The advancement towards Society 5.0 and the rapid development of technologies, exemplified by generative AI systems like ChatGPT, highlight significant changes in various domains, including education. This evolution in artificial intelligence (AI) presents both opportunities and challenges, particularly in the realm of Islamic education.ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, represents a sophisticated AI tool capable of generating human-like text through advanced algorithms and natural language processing. While its ability to provide quick and accurate information has revolutionized many fields, its impact on Islamic education necessitates careful consideration, given the traditional reliance on qath'i (definitive) sources for religious knowledge.Despite the extensive capabilities of AI tools like ChatGPT, there is limited empirical research on their application and implications within Islamic educational contexts, particularly concerning the adherence to traditional scholarly methods and the preservation of sanad (chain of transmission) in Islamic knowledge. This study aims to explore the integration of ChatGPT in Islamic education, focusing on its potential benefits and limitations. It evaluates how AI tools can be effectively utilized while maintaining the integrity of Islamic educational principles and ethical standards.
