Abstract

Abstract

Prelabor rupture of membranes (PROM) is a condition rupture of the membranes before the time of labor. The prevalence of PROM that occurs in Indonesia is still high. Anemia as one of the factors causing PROM. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between anemia and the incidence of prelabor rupture of membranes at the Sanjiwani Hospital in 2020. This study used a cross-sectional and using secondary data from medical records from January 2020-December 2020. The study sample size was 96 samples obtained using the consecutive sampling method. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate with chi-square test with a significance level (α) of 0.05. The data will be analyzed using SPSS. The result of this study obtained the number of prevalence of PROM in pregnant women with anemia is 26,9 with a significance level is 0,412. The result of this study is that there is no significant relationship between anemia and the incidence of prelabor rupture of membranes at the Sanjiwani Hospital in 2020. A non significant result can occur because the antenatal care (ANC) carried out by the mother during pregnancy has been good. Pregnant women are expected to carry out ANC properly to prevent anemia. Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is not giving other food or drink (including water) to the baby for six months. From the predetermined target (60%), the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding at the Mengwi I Health Center was 53.69% (2019). This figure changes each year, so improvements in nutritional status must be carried out and maintained continuously. In order to realize the exclusive breastfeeding target of 60%, the government has provided many programs, one of which is the Breastfeeding Support Group (KP-ASI). KP-ASI is a group of pregnant women who exchange information to optimize breastfeeding. Based on the 2019 activity report in Kekeran Village, Mengwi I Health Center, the intensity of breastfeeding has increased from 87% to 96%. This study was done to describe the knowledge and attitudes of mothers and the role of KP-ASI in exclusive breastfeeding in Kekeran Village, Mengwi District. The design of this research is descriptive quantitative with case study method. The population is the mothers of KP-ASI participants in Kekeran Village, Badung Regency. The results showed that all subjects in this study (100.0%) generally had a good knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding. Most of the subjects in this study had a good attitude in exclusive breastfeeding, as many as 18 people (66.7%). Most of the subjects in this study have a good role of KP-ASI, as many as 26 people (96.3%).

Abstract

Several studies have stated that HbA1c levels are known to be associated with the incidence of macrovascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes. Patients often have higher HbA1c levels than non-diabetic patients, so it is used as a way to test blood sugar control for patients with type 2 diabetes. 2 to prevent complications. This study was done to assess the relationship between HbA1c levels and macrovascular complications so that HbA1c levels can be used to predict the prognosis and the main controller in preventing macrovascular complications. Analytic method was used and the design was cross-sectional. The research was done at the Sanjiwani Hospital Gianyar with a total sample of 53 people. The results of the chi-square test showed that t a significant relationship was found between Glycosylated Hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels and the incidence of macrovascular complications with p value = 0.021 with HbA1c levels as a risk factor with POR value = 1.705. The conclusion was that there was a significant relationship between HbA1c levels and the occurrence of macrovascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Abstract

Anxiety is a mental problem that is often experienced by medical students which can be interpreted as feeling worried and unable to perform obligations. The academic obligations that medical students have to perform such as block exams encountered are the initial triggers for anxiety that affect sleep quality. Sustained anxiety will affect the quality of student sleep, resulting in impaired physiological and psychological balance. This research aims to analyze the correlation between anxiety level and sleep quality of pre-clinical students when facing block exams in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science of Warmadewa University. This research applied analytical study design using cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique was using proportional random sampling approach. The sample of the research covered 227 students of medical education. The instruments of this research were Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) dan Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). The data analysis techniques employed within this research were univariate and bivariate analyses using the Rank Spearman test. The result of the analysis shows that out of the 227 samples; 146 respondents (64.3) indicated no anxiety, 44 respondents (19.4%) indicated mild anxiety, 19 respondents (9.3%) indicated moderate anxiety, and 14 respondents indicated (6.2%) severe anxiety. In terms of sleep quality; 67 respondents (29.5%) indicated good sleep quality and 160 respondents (70.5%) indicated poor sleep quality. The results of the Rank Spearman test analysis showed the value of p = 0.006 which means that p<0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between anxiety level and sleep quality of pre-clinical students when facing block exams.
